fungirl123 I'm just going to be frank with you: you might have anxiety sweetie. I'm no doctor, but my best friend Marian had really bad anxiety back in fourth grade, and that was basically what she went through. :\ Anxiety is something that needs to be treated. fungirl123 Dear High Tops FTW, I don’t really listen to hip-hop. I’m mostly into Christian music. But there are a few singers I listen to here and there: Eminem is good if you’re not afraid of hearing the “F” bomb a lot. LOL! :-P Christina Aguilera, Demi Lovato (personal favorite), Foster the People, Kelly Clarkson, Maroon 5, One Republic, The Script (another personal favorite), Train, Andy Grammer, Adele (gotta love her!), Adam Lambert, All Time Low, Hot Chelle Rae, Justin Bieber (his new album is amazing), and Jason Mraz. I was really just looking through what I have on my iTunes. Like I said, not all of these are even close to hip-hop. But I’d really recommend Andy Grammer! All of his songs are upbeat and happy. fungirl123 Dear Coolgal, LOL, I totally know how you feel! I have glasses and I’m getting the rest of my braces put on later this year. Do NOT be afraid of looking bad! Trust me, there are a few things to do to draw attention away from all the metal. ;) 1.) We’re jewelry. I really like cute necklaces that have my initials on it or even just things that say BE YOU or BFF necklaces. 2.) Dress nicely. 3.) BRUSH YOUR TEETH. I cannot stress this enough! fungirl123 Dear xOCutie_CupcakesXo, you asked the right person! :D I’m a writer, too, if you didn’t know. To keep yourself interested in the story, here are some of my tips: use your favorite names! Make up or look up fantastic names that you’ll love writing about. Second, use as much description as you can, use as much dialogue as you can. You can look back on your previous pages and say, “Wow, I’ve been doing a marvelous job. I have to continue this!” Also, beforehand, plan out all of the conflict that you’ll be using and write out all of your characters that will have a part in the conflict for example (random): Bob Rodgers’s father died when he was twelve-years old in a car accident. Amy Smith helps him get over the grief of the loss.” That kind of stuff. I hope I could help! If you have any more questions, go right ahead and ask! <3 ~Haley

fungirl123 Dear @Smileygal7 (or her BFF…), Well, let’s recap…he new how she felt about him…and he asked out another girl. I think he’s the definition of J-E-R-K! I know this may be hard to here for your BFF, but if you care…you’ll want her to know. Personal experience: I guess my BFF’s crush, Jay, heard that she liked him, so he started making jokes around her that “She had this giant pimple on her nose”…or that “He would die before he would date her!” It took her a long time to stop crying and get over him. I stood with her every way and told Jay to step off the insults. Tell your BFF to lay off Facebook, Twitter, etc. for awhile as he will probably keep posting about his “new relationship”. Your friend can join new activities to get her mind off of him. Remember, if this guy cared about her feelings, he would have told her that he didn’t like her that way…not just ignore her and go on to date another girl! :( Hope I could help! If you want them to make up, tell them sternly, “Your affecting *insert other friend’s name* and I by fighting; why can’t you TRY and make up just for the sake of US?” Sometimes, you can’t be sweet and caring…you just have to lay down the law! :) If they still refuse to try, who says they have to be together. Have separate sleepovers…but if it comes to birthday parties, tell them “Seriously? It’s by birthday! fungirl123 I’m really glad you came to tell me this. :) First of all, I can say that I’ve thought of making myself throw up before…I didn’t think I was pretty at all. Why are you doing this? Is it someone at school? If so, there are a number of people you can talk to. Your best friend, a trusted teacher, a school counselor—best choice—etc. But there is always something pretty about a girl. Whether it’s her nose, her sense of humor, her pouty lips, or her amazing desire to help people; there is something about you that is beautiful, I know it! So why try to damage an absolutely beautiful body? If a boy doesn’t like you, so what? I have a big belly and I have plenty of best friends. I’m going to a waterpark this weekend and I could care less if my tummy is a little bigger than my best friend, Liz’s. Whenever you feel fat or like you need to make yourself stick-thin, think to yourself, “What am I doing? Do I want to be like other girls…or do I want to be unique and beautiful on the inside?” Trust me, if you think of yourself beautiful inside, you’ll feel beautiful outside! And if you want to be healthier and not wanting the need to throw up, swap a vending machine brownie for a low-fat milk. And it doesn’t make you a bad person to treat yourself sometimes. fungirl123 Keep it natural!! :-) Don't go all out for a regular day at school. I think that teachers judge your attitude partly from the way you dress. So (and I know you probably don't do this!) if you wear a skimpy outfit, they won't like you! The same with makeup! If you wear TONS of it, they will think you’re just begging for a guy’s attention! You don’t want them to think that about you. I was watching an episode of “What Not to Wear”. It was talking about how makeup can bring out your natural beauties of yourself. If you have beautiful eyes, use a color that will make them pop! If you have pretty lips, do the same! I hope this helped! ~Haley <3

fungirl123 Everyone has an opinion. That doesn't make him mean, or a bad person, it makes him real. To me, a person could be mean; to you, they could be sweet and nice. Just tell your friend that your BGF’s opinion shouldn’t matter. If your BFF is sad about this, tell her that it was just an opinion and that it doesn’t matter. One of the best ways to get over someone: Look for all of their flaws and giggle about them with a friend. Tell her about the times when you were younger and all of the embarrassing things he did! It’ll make her feel better. But you still don’t have to abandon you BGF, just don’t talk to him around your BFF! I hope this helps! ~Haley

fungirl123 The best thing for you to do is keep your head high when you walk through. You can't change the past, but you can change how you deal with it! :) If the boys start making rude remarks, tell a teacher or the counselor and they can deal with them! :)

fungirl123 You have to be clean in order to not sweat. Whenever you get a shower, use a good soap that has antiperspirant in it. If you shower at night, then wash your face every morning. Then bring deodorant to practice and keep reapplying it about every 30 mins. If possible, shower after practice and use soap. Then wash your face. If you can’t shower, change out of your sweaty clothes and into good-smelling clothes. Put on more deodorent or antiperspirent. For your hair, bring dry shampoo in your gym bag and spray it in. Bring fresh socks and put baby powder on your feet to dry out the sweat and prevent rashes. Hope this helped! If you’re confused, just tell me!
