xXMissBehavedXx K heres my speech (the dashes are where I put personal info such as my full name or my skool): Hello! As most of you may know, my name is --. Before I begin, I just want to thank --, the rest of the faculty here at Matawan Aberdeen Middle School, and, of course, the student body for this opportunity to become your student council president. I also want to wish good luck to -- and --, my fellow candidates. Now, I could begin my speech telling you all about the great qualities I have that make me the right person for the job. Everyone wants their middle school years to be memorable, exciting, and, well, fun! So I am going to try to make that happen with school dances, fundraisers, pep rallies, and much more. In addition, not only will I express my ideas on how to make our school a better place, but I also plan on setting up a system to hear what’s on your minds as well. Perhaps a box could be set it in the cafeteria in which you could write down your ideas on a slip of paper and deposit them inside for the student council to take into consideration. Another thing I would like to do for -- is to build on the academic assistance program we have by allowing students, along with the instructor, to help those struggling in school. I believe this would give advanced students a chance to see how it’s like teaching others who aren’t as advanced as they are. It is also a way to make new friends. Yet another way I would like to help -- is to recognize the students here who show great effort in athletics. Every marking period, I would like to give awards to one student in each gym class who shows great effort. But before I can do any of these things, I need your votes. Because together, we can make it happen!
