Kate'sguitar101 that is a good way!!!! if your school has a cross country or track team you should join it! especially if you are into other sports too! pretty much every sport you might want to try is gonna most likely have something to do that needs strong legs

wildflower223 Hey!!!!!!! A good way to practice running/soccer is to kick a ball, wait a few seconds and run after it as fast as you can. When you get it dribble the ball as fast as you can back to where you started. Do ten jumping jacks and do it all again

Kate'sguitar101 8:24 is a great time! but I understand you want to do better. The best thing you can do when it comes to getting into shape is workout almost everyday! It's ok to take a day off but to get better you have to work hard!!

Iheartparis101 Hey do you think you could create a workout plan for me? My mile time is 8:24 which stinks but I don't run. In the fall I will be doing volleyball and cheerleading and more cheer in the winter. I want to do track next year.ccan u help?

Kate'sguitar101 remember: a short run a day can do alot more than a really long run once or twice a week! make sure you get out there and DO IT!

Kate'sguitar101 WORKOUT OF THE DAY: push your goals! if you usually only go run for 15 minutes go for 20 or 25! If you want to work on endurance sprint hills! have fun and ALWAYS drink water and stretch!

wildflower223 Wow crosscountry camp sound exausting... my favorite stretch is standing on the edge of something on your toes and letting your heels hang off. Ahhh. Helps keep those pesky cramp away

Kate'sguitar101 hey does anybody listen to music while they run? I do if I'm running in a the park or on trails! its a lot easier to run faster if you aren't focused on how bad your legs hurt

Kate'sguitar101 WORKOUT OF THE DAY: If you ever take an off day make sure you're still exercising! work your abs, arms, and legs! make sure you are also eating right everyday!

Kate'sguitar101 If you want to run track what event do you think you would want to do? Track is great because you don't have to run super long distances. to train for track i would just find a good place to jog (neighborhood, school track, park) and well RUN!

Kate'sguitar101 if you want a good workout try hills! find one or two good ones that aren't too huge and takle 'em! ask a friend to keep ya company and encourage each other. You can also time each other to see how fast you can sprint up it! just remember to stretch
