field2300 The only reason people are is because they are either insecure or think it makes them and being mean is definitely not cool. Don't tell that this the only reason that their mean, that will only make them more angry.

field2300 If you cry, get sad, or show weakness in way, you've let them win. Don't run away from them either it just gives them the thought that you are scared and that's what they want.

field2300 Don't get worked up about it or stand up to them it will only make things worse. If it gets physical or just to the point where you can't take it anymore ask an adult to help you. No mattering how embarrassing that might be.
