Also, I would recommend a more long-wearing liquid or gel eyeliner- Physician's Formula has a good felt-tip pen kind, and e.l.f. has great cream ones. Lastly, set you eyeliner with the same-colored eyeshadow over top to make it stay all day!

Sheyenne I think 12-ish would be ok, but don't go too heavy. If you're under 13, I would suggest maybe BB cream and blush, possibly even lip gloss, but go for a neutral shade. However, it's up to your parents as well :) Hope this helps!

volleyball514 Don't be afraid to sport bold, darker lips for fall! Try a tinted lip balm, like Burt's Bees in Red Dahlia, to get buildable color, or go all out with a lipstick or stain. Dark, vampy lips are so in for fall! Pair 'em with simple, neutral eyes.

volleyball514 @wolfgurll: I recommend using a dense brush to buff in your liquid foundation, such as e.l.f. Powder Brush ($3 at Target). Or, use a damp makeup sponge to blend it in. You can also use this to lightly go over your powder to make it less cakey.

volleyball514 @dolphinchic: Use a light coverage foundation to cover redness (Neutrogena, Almay, and Clinique have great ones for sensitive skin), and if you have specific red patches, use a green-toned concealer to cancel out the redness. Then set with powder so it stays on. For your eyelids, try putting white liner on your waterline to make your eye look bigger, and put a light matte brown shadow- a little bit darker than your skintone- above the crease of that eye to make it look bigger. But really don’t stress about that, it probably isn’t even very noticeable! And some good waterproof/sweatproof mascaras are Covergirl lashblast volume waterproof and Maybelline waterproof mascaras. But don’t put mascara on your lower lashes if you really want to avoid smudging.

volleyball514 Determining whether your skin is warm- or cool-toned can play a big part in finding the right makeup and colors that look good on you. There are a few ways you can figure this out. First, look at the veins in the underside of your wrist in natural sunlight. If they look blue, you’re likely cool-toned. If they look more olive, you’re probably warm-toned. If gold jewelry and off-white look best on you, then your skin is warmer. If silver jewelry and white look better, you’re cool-toned. (Can’t decide, and everything looks good on you? You’re neutral!) Many foundations come in warm and cool tones. If you’re cooler, pink-based blush and colors like silver, green, blue, grey, and purple probably look best on you. If you’re warm-toned, orange-based blush (not straight-up orange; more like peach and coral!) and warm colors like red, copper, gold, brown, and yellow may look better. Of course, don’t let your skintone completely dictate what you wear! If you’re cool-toned and love wearing warm browns (like me), go for it! Hope this post was helpful, ladies! :)

vivaglam I suggest to have a nice light neutral color all over your eyelid just to brighten up your eyes. Then, just add a tad bit of white eye shadow on your tear duct/inner corner area to make you look more awake. Lastly, a medium toned brown in the crease.

volleyball514 @radiance167: If you're using a pencil liner, sharpen it to get a thin line. For liquid liner, swipe the brush on your hand a couple times before applying to make sure you get the right amount of product. When applying eyeliner, gently tug up on your eyelid to pull it taut & then make small strokes along the lashline, then go back and connect them. When you're starting out, just apply eyeliner on the top lashline to avoid looking like a raccoon. Hope this helps, let me know if you want more specific details :)

volleyball514 @promqueen105: It can be hard to find a matching concealer, so I recommend going to Sephora or Ulta where you can try on products in the store. High end concealers do cost more but they also work better and have more shade options. Also, green concealer or corrector cancels out the redness in your face, just put a normal colored concealer over it! Physician’s Formula has some great options for green/color-correcting products. You can also try wearing lip products in shades of peach, coral (IT color this spring!), or mauve instead of pink and red. Hope this helped! :)

volleyball514 @thegirlwiththecamera13: Sounds like you look like me! Lol :) Since your dress is black, you can play around with color for your makeup. I would pick one feature to emphasize. If you want to emphasize your lips, do a bright pink lip stain with light blush and neutral eyes (just light shadow, brown liner on top, and mascara). To emphasize your cheeks, pick a pretty blush color and put it along your cheekbones along with some hilighter (Just don’t overdo it), do a light lipcolor and neutral eyes again. Finally to emphasize your eyes, try putting brown shadow on your lid and purple in the crease above it, black top liner, brown halfway on your waterline, and mascara, with light cheeks & lips. If you want to emphasize your brown eyes, try green or purple, or brown or black for a more natural look- just line the top. Mascara is nice, it perks up your eyes subtly. I would also get a concealer and powder, unless you have good skin and don't need it! Blush is nice to add color to your face, but don't overdo it and look clownish. If there's a specific issue you are self-conscious about, like acne, ask if you can get some concealer to cover it up. Then, apply your foundation/tinted moisturizer with a stippling brush, using light dabbing motions all over your face. It might take a bit longer to blend, but be patient! Then, apply concealer over any pimples, undereye circles etc. that the foundation didn’t cover. Blend again! Finally, set all of your face makeup with a light dusting of powder that is either translucent or matches your skintone. Hope this helped!  ~Bee

Maybe try a different shade of blue than your eyes; if you have dark blue eyes grab a chrome-y blue, and if you have light eyes get a navy liner. Pick one up at places like Ulta or Sephora; for drugstore brands, try Wet n wild, NYC, Covergirl, or for a blue liquid liner I know mark. has one. Good luck girl! 

forever12 you can find blue eyeliner anywhere!! Wallgreens has inexpensive ones and actually good quality (l"oreal and Revlon). Blue eyeliner would look great!! I have blue eyes and light brown hair but i usually wear brown/gray eyeliner to make eyes pop!

thecupcakequeen Put your hair half up into a bun and curl the rest. Then wear a gold/yellow top (maybe off-the-shoulder?) For her, big bun with a blue headband and a black choker (use satin ribbon). You both need opera gloves too! Look at a costume shop for some :)

volleyball514 @SassyPoet23: You can try using a gradual self tanner lotion, like Jergens NaturalGlow, or a spray tanner. Both are better alternatives to suntanning! Try exfoliating your lips w/ an old toothbrush or making lip scrub.Also try tinted balm. Good luck!

volleyball514 Earth/neutral tones always are a good natural look for brown eyes, or for a little more drama try green. If you want to wear eyeliner, try brown or gray because it's less harsh than black. And of course mascara always looks good. :) Good luck!

volleyball514 It's easier with a pencil liner than liquid when you're starting out. Gently pull your eyelid taut and draw a thin line close to your lashes on your upper eyelid. Or ask an older friend or someone to show you! Good luck :)

kenz13 Here's a no fail way to brighter eyes! Cold spoons and cucumbers always work, but if your in a hurry, just apply a dot a pale, pearly eyeshadow to the inner corner of your eye and just above your pupil. This opens up your eyes and lets in more light.

forever12 Product Review: Clinique's "Chubby Sticks". The chubby stick (looks like a crayon) is hot pink (Woppin' Watermelon is the color) and it is super pretty! I first put it on and it gave my lips a sheer color, not clownish. I would definatly recommend it

forever12 Spring Nail Polish Review! Turquoise, lilacs, nudes, and pink are super in for spring! My favorite turquoise color is Turquoise and Caicos by Essie. For lilac, I would suggest lucky lucky lavender by OPI. OPI also makes great nude colors.
