The easiest fix would be to talk to your mom or another trusted adult who knows both of you. If that doesn't work, sit down with your sis and agree to both talk about it calmly. Explain to her that you value your relationship with her but that you also want to see where this potential relationship with the guy could lead. It's hard for her to be hurt and to see you happy with him, so suggest that the two of you take a girls' day out where you don't mention him.

LexilicousCandy Hey girlies so school starts on Thursday, cheer-leading practice is starting up again on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Tuesdays & Thursdays I tutor 8th grade and younger, and everyday I have private orchestra sessions not to mention I also Babysit, am working on my novels and having meeting with the lovely models who do my covers for me. So I am so sorry if I don’t get on every day or stay on as long but you can see how busy my schedule is… however that won’t stop me from helping you girlies out with anything you need! I also have some exciting news… I got a letter from “People to People Ambassador Programs” and next summer I get to travel and study around the world to places including Italy, France, Switzerland, and Austria!!!!!!!! So try going up to her and telling her that you really like him and he asked you out, then see if she's ok with it. If she is then go ahead but do you know what they broke up for? If after a while he keeps down playing your relationship you could try gently confronting him and saying that you don’t feel like you’re really having a real relationship and your fine with baby steps but maybe you could take the next baby step. See how he reacts and then you might see that he’s not really ready for a real relationship like you are, if this is the case you might have to say goodbye to this guy until he’s ready for something real.
