A Club for fitness. I will post tips to get a healthy, toned body and developing healthy eating habits. This is the perfect club for girls who are hoping to look great for swimsuit season, are training for a sport, are just starting to excersise, or just need some support from other girls fighting the same fitness battle. Also, let me know if you would like an officer position. I need people who will post tips at least every other day!

dancer995 Just being outside can help you stay fit. Anything that gets you out of the house can help. You are never tempted to watch TV, TV makes you feel snack-y, so it helps you a lot more than you think. So get outdoors! :)

purplepants99 Try making your own trail mix. The ones you buy at the store can be filled with things you don't like but if you make it at home you can just put stuff you like (this is great if you are allergic to nuts). In mine, I put peanuts, almonds, soy beans, sunflower seeds, chocolate covered raisons, crainsons, and walnuts

dancer995 I went for a bike ride yesterday, I felt happier and more relaxed because I knew I got a great workout. If you love biking, GO FOR IT. Have fun and enjoy it! It makes you feel good after, but wear a helmet to stay protected, even if it looks silly :)

purplepants99 I know we have been talking about sunscreen a lot lately. I love the Neutrogena wet skin sunscreen spray! Also, make sure you put on bug spray cuz you don't want any bug bites. I luv the Off Sweat Proof spray!

dancer995 Being fit doesn't mean you have to be skinny, it means that you are active and you eat right. You don't have to be as skinny as a stick to be called fit. It really depends on what you do out of school or your summer break.

dancer995 @Shelby Love-BE CAREFUL. I would check for any new moles because if you have a new one or an older one that has gotten bigger or changed color, it could be a sign of skin cancer. Go to the doctor if anything has changed. :)

purplepants99 Plan out how you are going to exercise everyday. Basically, you want to make your own fitness routine. Lots of girls post their fitness routines on youtube so that is a great place to get some ideas and learn some new exercise moves to tone your body

dancer995 Grapes are fruits you should never live without. All the fiber that is in it takes all the bad sugar out of your body. The sugar in the fruit is healthier than eating processed sugar. They are delicious and very healthy for you. :)

purplepants99 Black beans are one of the healthiest foods on earth. They are cheap and very easy to cook. They are packed with proteins and a great substitute for meat if you are a vegetarian. Black beans also have a lot of fiber to keep you energized throughout the day. Black beans also have a bit of omega-3 fatty acid which helps your heart health. With these beans, try making a salad or a dip!

And with golf, as long as you have a good teacher it won't be that hard to learn. My Dad is a die heart golfer so I have been golfing ever since I could walk! I have made alot of friends (golf buds) while playing the sport and I luv it!!!

purplepants99 There are two types of fats- good and bad. Good ones would include avocados and almonds- You NEED these fats but too much will harm your body. Bad fats include cookies and brownies- these fats are bad for you!

purplepants99 Since us girls are still growing it is really unsafe for us to lift heavy weights. Instead lift light weights and do more reps to tone those arms. Also, don't have any dumbbells at home? Grab a water bottle or a can of soup!

purplepants99 Jump roping is a great way to get cardio into your workout. You can either do it with some friends with a long jump rope (and sing those songs that you sang in elementary school) or just grab a short rope and jump on your own!

It was lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, carrot, onions and hummus all on wheat bread. It was really, really amazing and it is really easy to make at home!

purplepants99 It's that time again- time for dad to take out his lawn mower. But lucky for you, cutting the grass is a great source of exercise! Just ask dad if you can start mowing the lawn and maybe you will even get paid! (Of course, its only exercise when you have the lawn mower that you have to push, not the one that you drive!)

IzzyBelly To trim down the fat on your body, you need to do cardio. If you do JUST strengthening exercises(S.E.) you will never see the results! The good thing about S.E. is that they speed up your metabolism, but make sure to get 20 minutes of cardio too! <3

purplepants99 Try and distract yourself while working out. Music, tv, and talking are great ways to do that. You can listen to music while doing yoga, watch tv while running on the treadmill and talk to a friend while both of you are on a bike ride!

purplepants99 So, I am joining a gym tomorrow. I am joining the one parents workout at rite now but if you are under 16 you need to go through a training course before you can use the machines. I have my training tomorrow- I am going to just get a one on one lesson with a trainer there. I can't wait to start going there more often!

purplepants99 NEW EXERCISE! These are called donkey kicks. They really tone up your legs. Get in plank position. Kick both your legs out as you jump. They jump and kick your feet up towards your but. purplepants99 I new ab workout that I just learned is a Double Crunch. For this exercise you lay on your back, put ur hands behind your head, and lift your legs to a 90 angle. You do a regular crunch with ur upper half and also bring your knees in towards you. purplepants99 Try to track how much you exercise. This is how I track myself. I just put an X on my calendar to show that I did workout today. It always feels good to look at my calendar at the end of the month and see how hard I'm working!

As you are putting ornaments on your Christmas tree do toe raises or jump as high as you can(without knocking over the christmas tree of course!!) Unpacking decorations? Do lunges as you move to put them in their place. Around the house break down and do 15 jumping jacks when you see something green. And 10 situps when you see something red

IzzyBelly Great Tip! Don't eat carbs for at least an hour after a workout. This will make your body burn down fat, instead of the food you just ate. The one exeption is to stick to fruit and water in that hour after. Hope this helps!!!

awesomegirl4everandalways I say ditto, depending on the person. And your family genes. Let me look it up... It depends on the girl but 110 lbs. is average. As long as you are healthy and you exercise at least 3 times a week for 30 - 45 minutes, tho, u don't need to worry! =3D

LoveLifePeace @caykay10- This may be a late response for thanksgiving, but Xmas is coming. What I do: once you finish that piece of pie or cookie, brush your teeth! it's my go-to method. Or get gum! You're still chewing without splurging on calories!

LoveLifePeace @skategrl: What you want to do is increase your stamina. Depending if you're a sprinter or long distance you have to do something that will target that area. Long distance, start with 2 miles. Sprinter, try doing a combo of sprints with 1 min breaks!

LoveLifePeace @cbdancer: to get the blood circulating. I like to start off with thirty minutes of dancing. And I'm a huge fan of lunges, so pair those together, w/ maybe a few situps, and you'll have a great workout! if it's too much, just do what you can! :)
