Your Fit Body
A Club for fitness. I will post tips to get a healthy, toned body and developing healthy eating habits. This is the perfect club for girls who are hoping to look great for swimsuit season, are training for a sport, are just starting to excersise, or just need some support from other girls fighting the same fitness battle. Also, let me know if you would like an officer position. I need people who will post tips at least every other day!

purplepants99 Have you ever considered taking a zumba or insanity class? These are very intense workouts that give you your bikini body in no time! Most gyms offer one of these otherwise there is always youtube!

purplepants99 Eating a heavy lunch in the middle of the day can be really bad for you. It means that you will be hungry in the next 5 hours and eat another heavy meal. Instead, try eating a light lunch (salad?) and then snacking on something (goldfish?) inbetween classes.

purplepants99 I have to run the mile tomorrow during gym:( I always get these cramps in my stomach half way through so I did a little research. Turns out that running faster actually cures those cramps. Also, pressing down on the cramp with 2 fingers.

purplepants99 Find a route around your neighborhood and plan to ride your bike or run around this route a couple times every day. I have a route that is about half - 3/4 of a mile. I biked around it 10 times today. When running, I run about 4-6 times around it!

purplepants99 So today, I got to go on a field trip to the capital of my state. When it came to eating lunch, I ate a really tasty sandwich. It was called the Farmers' Market Sandwich. It was lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, carrot, onions and hummus all on wheat bread. It was really, really amazing and it is really easy to make at home!

IzzyBelly When you don't like foods, like healthy dressing on your salad(vinaigrette), I know it is hard getting used to. It seems like a long time, but the lifespan of your taste buds are 10 days. If you have a little bit a day, you'll get used to it!

purplepants99 It's that time again- time for dad to take out his lawn mower. But lucky for you, cutting the grass is a great source of exercise! Just ask dad if you can start mowing the lawn and maybe you will even get paid! (Of course, its only exercise when you have the lawn mower that you have to push, not the one that you drive!)

purplepants99 Make sure you stretch before and after you exercise. Stretching your muscles before let your body warm up. Stretching your muscles after increases your muscles memory and makes you more flexible!

IzzyBelly To trim down the fat on your body, you need to do cardio. If you do JUST strengthening exercises(S.E.) you will never see the results! The good thing about S.E. is that they speed up your metabolism, but make sure to get 20 minutes of cardio too! <3

IzzyBelly Did you know that if you ate 1 snickers bar a day and didn't burn it off you would gain 28.2 pounds in just a year!! it takes 2.5 miles to burn it off. Thats reason enough to let the snickers dissapear!

purplepants99 Try and distract yourself while working out. Music, tv, and talking are great ways to do that. You can listen to music while doing yoga, watch tv while running on the treadmill and talk to a friend while both of you are on a bike ride!

purplepants99 @sunny4132- I'm not sure what the club is going to be called yet. Also, try exercising every night. Work on abs, legs arms, butt, and cardio. There are a lot of youtube videos that will give you a workout that focuses one one area. Try following one of those videos. Hope this helped!

purplepants99 So, I am joining a gym tomorrow. I am joining the one parents workout at rite now but if you are under 16 you need to go through a training course before you can use the machines. I have my training tomorrow- I am going to just get a one on one lesson with a trainer there. I can't wait to start going there more often!

purplepants99 NEW EXERCISE! These are called donkey kicks. They really tone up your legs. Get in plank position. Kick both your legs out as you jump. They jump and kick your feet up towards your but. purplepants99 I new ab workout that I just learned is a Double Crunch. For this exercise you lay on your back, put ur hands behind your head, and lift your legs to a 90 angle. You do a regular crunch with ur upper half and also bring your knees in towards you. purplepants99 Make sure you are getting some fittness in atleast 3 times a week (THIS IS A MINIMUM!). If you workout 3 times a week you will probably stay really fit and maybe lose a few pounds. If your really want to lose weight try working out a little more!

IvylouGirl For a healthy lunch try putting a salad together in a sandwich holder with dressing on the side, ready to be mixed in. You could also try putting together mini sandwiches on crackers. Make sure to always add a fruit or veggie to your lunch!

IzzyBelly Great Tip! Don't eat carbs for at least an hour after a workout. This will make your body burn down fat, instead of the food you just ate. The one exeption is to stick to fruit and water in that hour after. Hope this helps!!!

LoveLifePeace Meals, I suggest to try to stay on top of eating those vegetables! Definitely important. But I like stuffed bell peppers (as long as you limit the amount of cheese and meat that goes in), the occasional pesto or alfredo pasta, or fajita tacos

LoveLifePeace My latest favorite snack: Blueberries! I'm not sure if they're in season right now, but they carry tons of antioxidants great for healthier skin. Mix them with others fruits, nuts or some yogurt. They're sweet but not to sweet. I love them!

LoveLifePeace @toriheartsfashion: if you use a stretch rope it can be used to strengthen your back doing simple stretches with your arms to your back. And stretching!! If done correctly, you can really see improvement in your posture and get a toned back as well!

LoveLifePeace @skategrl: What you want to do is increase your stamina. Depending if you're a sprinter or long distance you have to do something that will target that area. Long distance, start with 2 miles. Sprinter, try doing a combo of sprints with 1 min breaks!
