When I told him, he said stuff about the guy I liked like, "He tries to be cool but he's not, no one likes him, he's mean and says stuff behind other people's backs." I honestly don't care about the cool part, cool is overrated. And there's always gonna be people who don't like you, right? But I'm wondering whether to believe my friend about the mean part. One of the traits I value most in a guy is their niceness. The guy I like is my brother's friend. He's come over a lot and has never done anything to make me think he's mean. Adults always talk about him as being polite too, and I haven't heard any other rumors. KarmaKarlie I'd suggest talking to him and saying "Its good between us right? no awkwardness of the past? that was then, are we allowed to be friends now that its over?" or something along those lines. I hope it helps!

Jpschlenz I'd just tell them, they are your parents and they should understand and love you no matter what (or who ever you date). Besides, dating should be your choice, not theirs, so tell them and try to reach an understanding with them. :)

7714st If he likes music: Get him his favorite band's CD. Sporty? Get him a miniature basketball or soccer ball. Artsy? Get him some of whatever his favorite medium is (paint, clay, charcoal, etc). If all else fails, just bake him something sweet! <3 7714st

Jpschlenz ya, i know the situation, try to keep her mind off of him. If she keeps thinkin about him in a really obvious way, tell her the truth. If she still likes him, try to get him to tell her the truth and then be there 4 her, this will be tough for evey1.

volleychick879 You have to tell your dad. love is important but if it means losing your dad that is serious. talk to him! otherwise eventually he'll find out and it will be uglier then than it would just telling him straight out.

lili545 i think you should definitely not lie to your parents. Maybe they would be okay if you went out in a huge group? Make sure they knew exactly who's going (including him) but they might be more open to the idea if your bff's are all there with you?
