Head In The Clouds Hey, I find myself kind of forgetting God as I get older. I never want to leave him, but I just feel like I'm going through the motion. Any Advice as to how I can feel closer to God?

wisherdreamer<3 pray every night and when you do confess your sins, and tell HIM how much you love HIM and you will feel closer to GOD.

laxchik18 Yeah I help out with my church’s VBS or vacation bible school. Also I want to start memorizing verses and my first one is one I read today 1st Corinthians 8:4-5. I may not have it word for word but its close. Love is patient, love is kind, love does not boast, it is not proud. It keeps no record of wrongs, love is not easily angered. I cant remember the rest. I guess I fail at memorizing it. Also please pray for my uncle and his family. My uncle has colon cancer and they have a foster daughter now who I extremely shy and quiet. Her dad passed away and her mom is extremely ill. The family is also in the process of moving just a few minutes from their current house and the process is slow moving. Also a few years ago they had twin foster girl and one of them sadly passed away. I was very close with them. The other twin is no longer with them. PLEASE keep them in your prayers. It would mean sooo much to me. Thanks

pinklol56 I have a radio and I always listen to this one radio station. It's not christian,but i really like the music. But lately the station has been fuzzy and I had to put another station on. And the one I found was christian. Should I keep that station?

1corinthiansgurl @pinklol56: I think it's fine if you still listen to the secular station as long as it's clean but christian radio stations can be really fun too so it's really up to you!

futureauthor19 I think you should! You can always listen to more than one station. Speaking of music, I really like the song "Dive." It has a great Christian message. Music can really help bring you closer to God. It sure has for me.

futureauthor19 I've been trying my very best to stay away from things that defy God, but it's been hard. I lied to my mom recently and I felt really bad about it. (I told her the truth afterwards.) I know that God is really merciful and stuff, but I still feel really bad about it. I just want with all my heart to become closer to God. Has anyone else been in this position?

spazzysarah totally. You do it but it kinda scars you forever. it just makes you feel so horrid about yourself and you never forget it, but it lal ends well. you'll be okay, just keep trying. As a priest once told me, we are all good people, we make bad choices.
