chalkwalk next in one of those holes cut a normal straw into 4 peices and stick one of them in about half way. You can also make them look like oranges with vanilla cake, icing,red& yellow dye. You can also exspiriment& make the cupcakes look like other things

Jackie Russel I have the cutest new idea I got it from this potluck I had at school someone brought in easter cupcakes with adorable little figures on the top made of pure sugar like ducks,bunnies and flowers charming isn't it what do you guys think about it?

chalkwalk omg it was so loud and thrilling but i have 2 agree it was a little gross! oh and todays f.o.d. is cinamon twist, thats the name we gave it. theres cinamon in the cake and a little cinamon sprinkled on the icing but dont overdo the cinamon.

topchef88 Oh and for some original ideas you could make a chocolate covered strawberry cupcake. Like have strawberry bits and flavoring in chocolate batter and then have strawberry frosting on top and put a piece of chocolate on the frosting. Oh and I just thought of a good thing to go with carmel. Coffee Carmel. And another original flavor is Coffee Oreo(I know weird) but it's this really good ice creamand it would be even better as a cupcake!

oceanlover69 Ingredients (serving size:12 cupcakes) • Cupcakes: • 1 1/8 cups all-purpose flour • 1/4 cup Ghirardelli Unsweetened Cocoa • 1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda • 1/4 teaspoon salt • 1 large egg • 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar • 1/2 cup granulated white sugar • 1/2 cup whole milk plus • 2 tablespoons whole milk • 1/3 cup strong brewed coffee or espresso • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted • • Frosting: • 6 ounces Ghirardelli Semi-Sweet Chocolate baking bar, broken or chopped into 1-inch pieces • 3/4 cup heavy cream • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter • 1 cup Ghirardelli Milk or Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips Directions 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line 12 cupcake molds or muffin tins with paper liners or spray with nonstick spray. 2. To make the cupcakes, sift together the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. 3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg, brown sugar, and white sugar. Whisk in the milk, coffee, and melted butter. Whisk in the dry ingredients. Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake molds, filling them about three-quarters full. 4. Bake for 15 minutes, or until a tester inserted in the middle of the cupcakes comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes. Using a small spatula or knife, remove the cupcakes from the pan. Continue to cool on a wire rack to room temperature. 5. To make the frosting, melt the chopped chocolate in the top of a double boiler, or in a heatproof bowl, over barely simmering water, stirring occasionally until smooth. Heat the cream until hot. Remove from the heat and whisk in the chocolate. Transfer to a bowl and cool to just warm. Whisk in the butter until smooth. Let sit until it reaches a spreading consistency, about 1 hour. Spread the frosting on top of the cupcakes. Sprinkle them with chocolate chips.

topchef88 Oh I have a good idea! Get like premade frosting like Betty Crocker or whatever, and then use stencils(whether they are food or normal) and place them on the cupcakes! Take sprinkles and sprinkle on stencil. Remove stencil! BEAUTIFUL!

bubblepower129 get oreos and soak in OJ for 5 mins. then let it dry, then put in cup of milk. stir. then put in blender, with cup od coffee, marshmellows, licorice. enjoy!
