cali princess Hey chicas! A tip for getting your splits is when you stretch try holding your arms up for a little bit so you aren't holding yourself off the floor. Just let gravity do the work. Do it every time you stretch and eventually you will get it. <3 Alicia

cali princess The reason you cant get your back leg up is either because you are leaning forward too much or your front leg is too high. Remember to keep your shoulders back and focus on going UP. Make each leap an explosion of power and you'll get them. <3 Alicia

DaNcInGQu33N9812 @cali princess- My feet are used to it, so it doesn't hurt as much. Just remember to wear padding and tape your toes so they don't get blisters. Also, once your pointe shoes are broken in, it won't hurt as much:)

fungirl123 Hey, everyone, so I was thinking about one of my stories and it had a lot to do with a dancer. And I thought about something with this club. You may all believe that I have been lying to you. I just wanted to admit something. I’m not a dancer anymore. I used to be huge on dancing. But I haven’t stepped foot in a studio for years. I do love dance. I love teaching the ballroom and other dancing choreography for musicals and plays. I love watching dancing. But I’ve never been huge on dancing. I started this club when I was still big on dancing; never even thinking that I’d get close to 100 members! When I was thinking about my story, I realized that I was kind of lying to all of you as president of this club, a popular and interactive one. I’m sorry. I really have no idea if you guys will be angry at me or just not care. But I am sorry. :-)

DaNcInGQu33N9812 Hey guys, I got some bad news: I won't be able to get on GL for most of the Summer:( For the middle of June, to the beginning of August. We're going to my grandparents house, and they don't have internet there, then I'm going to camp, then on a Pioneer Trek thingy with my Youth Group. Even in August, I won't be able to get on that much (Probably 4 times a week) because I'll already have a part-time job picking raspberries on a local raspberry farm. So I got a pretty packed Summer! I'm sorry I won't be on often:( But I will once the school season starts!

fungirl123 Today, at our 8-hour rehearsal, I spent two of those hours teaching a ballroom dance routine to a few brainless high schoolers who can't listen. I don't usually do ballroom choreo, but my director had added a bunch of spins and tosses to it that I told her I’d help with it. Wow. It really makes me mad when I tell someone a move then they just stare at me blankly like I speak with some foreign language. But—I have to admit—it was fun getting to boss around a bunch of high schoolers that hate being told what to do by an eighth grader! :-)

puppyprint14 u can practice ur splits by stretching ur hamstrings and sitting in ur splits while watching tv it took me a few yrs but now i have both my rite and my left splits just keep tryin and u will get it ask ur teacher 4 more ways 2 stretch

dancethenightaway it's called heal and hand stretch or you can do oversplits. You can do some stretches in strattle. (ex. work you way to the floor, lean to the left and right.) you can also try backbends

dancethenightaway I am flexible. If you want to know how to be flexible,you can do someting where you put your but up to a wall and do a strattle on the wall. Gravity will pull your legs down. Hold for a minute and a half.
