MusicTaughtMeHowToLive Have you ever had those days where you find yourself caught up in the world? Where you do things that may seem fun and funny then but make you regret it later? We all have, it happens to everyone, but what can we do to prevent these situations from happening again? It says in the Bible that having purity is a solution. Now what is the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear/see the word “purity”? For me it makes me think of staying pure till marriage, but actually it means much more than that. “The wrong things the sinful self does are clear: being sexually unfaithful, not being pure, taking part in sexual sins, worshipping false gods, doing witchcraft, hating, making trouble, being jealous, being angry, being selfish, making people angry with each other, causing divisions among people, feeling envy, being drunk, having wild and wasteful parties, and doing other things like these. I warned you now as I warned you before: Those who do these things will not inherit God’s kingdom.”-Galatians 5:19-21. This verse gave me a wake-up call. It means that even being jealous or angry can make us impure. With this being said, think about how often you act like these examples above, is it very rare or often? I’m going to be completely honest and say I act like this all the time. No I don’t party, no I don’t get drunk, no I don’t do witchcraft or anything like that, but all the time I find myself jealous of others, or being selfish and angry, it’s not a good feeling. If you ever feel like this too, realize that God made you exactly who you are because you are a child of God and he makes no mistakes in His creations. “It is not fancy hair, gold jewelry, or fine clothes that should make you beautiful. No, your beauty should come from within you--the beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit that will never be destroyed and is very precious to God.”-1 Peter 3:3-4. Feeling good about yourself in a positive way will encourage you to keep being a pure heart. But just feeling good about yourself is not enough, following God’s directions is what is needed for ourselves to stay pure. “But the Spirit produces the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. There is no law that says these things are wrong. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified their own sinful selves. They have given up their old selfish feelings and the evil things they wanted to do.”-Galatians 5:22-24. This verse pretty much defines itself, we as Christians have to give up our bad habits to keep ourselves pure, and to be honest it can be very hard to do this, I struggle with this all time, but again that is what makes us human. So if you do have a hard time struggling with this, I suggest you spend some one-on-one time with God and talk it out with him. Find an area where you can just be alone and just pray to God and ask for forgiveness (if you feel as though you need to ask for it), He is always there to listen and to forgive. Also if you have any questions, you are more than welcome to ask them on here, I’ll try my best to answer. Just remember that keeping a pure heart, mind, and body is hard to do in this society nowadays, but it pleases God and that is all that matters <3. God bless! ~MusicTaughtMeHowToLive

MusicTaughtMeHowToLive Also, I know a lot of you are hearing about the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting. Let me just say, my hearts go out to all the families that were victimized by this tragic event, this was truly an eye opener to me that we should appreciate EVERY moment we have to live and spend time with family. On the day of the shooting, I was complaining on just how much my mother had been hard on me lately (Honestly I can’t remember what she even said to make me mad). But when I looked on the news, I felt as though I needed a big slap in the face. Here I was, complaining about my mother, while 20 other innocent young children will never see their mothers again, and they did nothing wrong. 20 children will never graduate, never get to go to prom, never get to start their own family, all because of one man. But as much as people are blaming that shooter, a lot of people are questioning God, and that is what devastates me. God would NEVER want this to happen, never. As my pastor said last Sunday, God probably had a lot of diversions to prevent this shooting, but no one thought to look to God when these diversions happen, causing this tragic event to happen. At the same time though, I think this was a sign for Americans to realize, there needs to be change in this country, a change to cause less of these shootings. No one should be killed because they decided to go to the mall, or go to the movies with friends and family, or because they were going to get their education, no parent should be afraid to send their child to school! So girls…what’s your opinion on this? If you don’t agree with me, ok that’s fine, tell me why, I won’t get mad…I promise, I just want to hear your opinion. Just…something needs to happen in this country to prevent these tragedies; I don’t know what, but something. But for one thing though...more people need to rely on God to help America, not just rely on the government, or the economy, or if their lottery ticket is the right number. God is who is in control, and with a simple prayer, He can help us. So again, I pray for Newton, Connecticut as that they are grieving thorough this tough time, keep them in your thoughts and prayers, but this is truly a reminder to be grateful for the family we have to spend with this holiday season, and even everyday—don’t ever take life for granted.~MusicTaughtMeHowToLive

MusicTaughtMeHowToLive Hi girls. I thought I’d share a story. As much as you probably heard me ‘complain’ about being down the wrong path, I surely said it, but I never did anything about it. Nothing. I felt as though listening to secular music, watching un-godly movies, all these things, were just a way of life, Christian or not. But that was definitely the wrong thinking. The crazy thing was though, when I was about to do these things, there was a will telling me not to do it, I am hundred percent sure it was God, but as one-minded I was, I ignored it, and said ‘next time.’ Next time I won’t click on the song that talks about profanity, next time I won’t watch the movie with sex scenes, instead I will just go back to my old ways and listen to godly music, read the Bible more often, and pray for forgiveness. Still nothing happened; I did nothing for anything to happen. Until yesterday. Yesterday I was reading something, and it opened my eyes. It was a Christian account (I was on Twitter…lol) and this girl had the most inspiring quotes, telling me that God has a plan for everything. Sure, I heard that all the time, from my mother, from my grandmother, from my pastor, but I didn’t really think about it. Lately I just felt out-of-place, not exactly ‘insecure’ but I just felt like I didn’t belong, mostly because of school. All the sudden, I had the urge…to change. To stop these negatives thought in my head, to stop watching all this nonsense crap about ‘perfect’ relationships with your girlfriend/boyfriend, to stop cussing every chance I have when I’m angry, and to listen to God. That whole day, I listened to Christian music, and it felt great, I felt like I was beginning to start going down the right path again. Then this morning happened. No one was home, and so all the sudden I started talking aloud, realizing I was talking to God. But as I was talking, I started crying, crying about what had been burdened inside of me for months. Honestly, that was the first time I every cried to God that way, it felt like he touched me. I heard about these stories all the time and thought it was cool, but it would never happen to me, but it did. I told God everything I had been feeling and it just felt…amazing, comforting, no words can really describe. So I thought I’d share with you, maybe you are feeling the same way, or maybe not, whatever the case, if you feel that you need to share something, please share. I know I’m not on as often, but I know some Fearless Female won’t be afraid to answer. With that, I pray that you girls don’t ever get down that far of dark path like I did, because it’s not worth it at all. Being a ‘good girl’, being called a ‘Jesus freak’, being different because you believe in God and most people in your school don’t, THAT’S worth it, even though I admit, it’s tough. But again, it’s worth it in the end, because when you get in the gates of Heaven one day, you will realize you made the right decision, and you will have eternal life with HIM! MusicTaughtMeHowToLive Hello Fearless Females, I feel like I've written this a thousand times before, but truly I am sorry for not being on here. In the last 6 months, BIG changes have happened in my family, not necessarily bad, but not necessarily all great and dandy either, it has made a lot of up's and down's in my life right now, and the last 2 months have been the most hectic months I've ever lived. Now I cannot really say what has happened in my life, because well, we all know we cant post personal information on here, but I'd just like to ask you guys to really pray for my family. Things are about to get a lot easier, but this next week will be very busy for me so just pray I dont go insane, lol. @The_Musical_Octopus_Writer...I would like to say I watched the youtube video that you posted on this club, and I like to say it really opened my eyes. Lately all I've been worried about is stress. The stress of highschool, the stress of fitting in, the stress of will I be able to go to this, or will I be able to buy that, and honestly that does not matter. If we let God handle are lives, everything will go as planned and according to Him, and lately I have not been following that. With that being said, I've gone back in my bad ways again. But as I am saying this, please dont think I have been doing anything physically bad to myself or others (because I would absolutely never do that, even in the worst circumstance), but just things me as a Christian girl should be doing that I have not been doing, like reading the Bible. The last time I really went in and read a Bible...was probably 3 weeks ago. Also I've been cussing again. Girls, never ever ever EVER think cussing will 'vent' or 'make you cool' because it doesn't. It's gotten so bad for me that when something out of the blue happens or I get mad, those are the first words that either come out of my mouth or pop into my mind, it's practically so normal for me to use them that it's hard to stop, like an addiction. Because of how stressed I've been, that's what I feel can really make me feel better, which is wrong. Very wrong. I've been so stressed out that I have even broken down crying once or twice, which is not like me at all. But through what I have been experiencing, my connection with my mom and my brother have gotten stronger, and in ways, my relationship with God has been stronger. Whenever I am really stressed out, I'll just start speaking out loud to God, asking him to help me with my troubles, and I give all my worries to him. It really makes me feel better, I recommend doing it when you feel your lowest. So your probably wondering why I wrote all of this, I just wanted to say all this because I feel that I should give you a reason of why I have been gone. You all should have the right to know, and I hope I haven't let any of you girls down.~MusicTaughtMeHowToLive

MusicTaughtMeHowToLive Hi Fearless Females, I know it's been a while since I really have giving a devotional on this club, so I thought I would today. Lately I've been trying to get back to reading my Bible, its like every year at the end of my school year I just drift. Drift from praying, drift from reading the Bible, even drift from God a bit. So this summer, I have been reading my Bible, but I'll admit, I really don't do it everyday, but I try to at least a couple of times a week. So anyways, a couple of days ago I found this Bible verse: "Do not consider how handsome or tall he is. I have not chosen him. I do not look at the things people look at. Man looks at how someone appears on the outside. But I look at what is in the heart (1 Samuel 16:7)." Now your probably wondering "Why this verse?". Well, I'll admit, I like boys. Nuff said. Every girl goes through this phase in their teenage years. Every girl wants a boyfriend, someone to hold hands with, to hug, to dance with, to tell secrets to, just someone to tell them "your beautiful," and that's totally okay. But whats not okay, just getting a boyfriend because you think you 'need' one. I bet most of you girls thought of that one person who does that, trust me, I did too. Dating in today's world has just gotten ridiculous. Girls wearing these skimpy clothes just to get the boy, not staying pure, cheating on their boyfriends, FWB (Friends with 'Benefits'), heck, getting pregnant at age SIXTEEN, it's all too much. There's good, pure, SAFE ways to date. Like for example, all those examples I just said, definitely don't consider doing any of those! There are still boys, (believe it or not) out there who love a girl who is modest, fun, loving, but also sets boundaries. Now I know some of you may be like 'There's none of those at my school!' Trust me, I'm in the same boat right now, but just be patient. God has everything in your life planned precisely for a reason, EVEN a boyfriend. I know we all see those tv shows or movies that have the 'perfect' relationship of a boy and girl who 'coincidentally' met each other one day and 'fall in love', and sadly, as much I as wish that could happen in reality, 99.9% of the time that doesn't happen just like that. Also, as Christian girls, God wants us to date and hopefully one day, marry, a Christian man. When two Christians date, most likely you and the guy will understand boundaries, will respect each others opinions, and lets not forget: Parents might feel a little more comfortable. While if a non-believer dates a Christian, they might not see eye-to-eye on things. Now not all Christians do this. I've seen Christian girls date non-believers, saying "he respected my opinions and religion", "he was sweet", "we pushed our differences aside", and let me tell you, not one relationship lasted. Not kidding. It says in the Bible: "You are not the same as those who do not believe. So do not join yourselves to them. Good and bad do not belong together. Light and darkness cannot share together. (2 Corinthians 6:14)" This verse doesn't mean we can't hang out with non-believers, I mean you can, but dating wise as Christian girl, it's a definite no according to God. See for me, I'm always in the position of where either I know the boy isn't a non-believer, he is, or I have no idea. If you don't know, get to know the boy better, maybe he'll bring up that he goes to church every Sunday. If your crush isn't a believer, best to move on, and I know that is REALLY hard to do (I've done it, it's not fun), but that just means that boy isn't the one, there is another one out there. If your boy is a believer, hang out! Have a conversation, see what church he goes to, maybe you can visit his church sometime, become friends before you just drop the 'lets go out' thing. Now I'm not saying the first Christian guy you like/date is 'the one', because he might not be, or he might, who knows? Only God does! But I'm just saying if you see that handsome boy across the room with the gorgeous hair and perfect smile, don't just fall for him right then and there, because their is more to him than that. Get to know him, if your feeling bad vibes, or he isn't a believer, just step away, it's not worth breaking your heart. And don't worry chicka, maybe you're thinking "I feel like I'm the only girl going through this." Your absolutely NOT! It's good to be single, it just means your really waiting for a good caring, sweet, Christian guy! And guys actually see that! Christiangal345 What it Means to Become a Christian The Bible is full of stories about interesting people and the amazing things they've gone through. There's Jonah and the whale, Daniel and the Lion's Den, and Noah's Ark just to name a few. All these stories are very interesting, but there is one common thing about them all, God listened and helped all these people. Even though these stories happened many, many, many years ago, God was always there for them and he can do the same for you. Even though these men couldn't see God, they seemed to know that He was always with them and trusted Him. If we believe in God and obey what he said we ask a special part of Jesus to live inside us, that's what it means to become a Christian, Christ-in you. When you ask to Jesus into your heart it's just like accepting a gift from God. When someone gives you a gift do you take it and open it up or do you give it back because you don't want it? When we accept the gift of Jesus amazing things automatically happen. We become a part of God's family and His family is full of people who believe in God and have asked Jesus to live in them too. Another great thing that happens is that Jesus' Spirit comes to live in us. That means a part of Jesus will always be with us, so if we're ever in trouble, scared, or need someone to talk to He will always be there. The last exciting thing about becoming a Christian is that we will someday get to live in heaven with God and all of His family. Heaven is a wonderful place God has made for us to live with Him. There is no hurt or sickness there, just happiness all the time (we might even be able to fly)! We'll also be able to see God everyday and live with Him. Heaven is a place God has saved for all those who believe in Him, who have asked Him into their hearts, and who try to live the way he wants us to. God made earth for everyone, so imagine how great God's home will be for just the people that love Him. It's a place where we will live forever! If you want to become a Christian and have 'Christ-in' you there are a few important things you need to know and believe: God loves you and made you for a reason. That means God loves you know matter what you've done. He made us even though He knew we wouldn't be perfect, but He wants us to do our best to live the way He asks us to in the Bible. We're alive because God made us for a reason. By using the talents he gave you and sharing his love, you will be doing the special thing God made you for. We sin which makes us separate from God. Sin is doing something we shouldn't do. That includes bad thoughts or being jealous of others, how we talk, and the bad things we do (and we all have sinned over and over again)! The trouble is that God can't stand sin because He's perfect. Ever since Adam and Eve ate from the tree in the garden God couldn't have the same relationship with us. So... Jesus came to earth to die on the cross so that our sin (the things we do wrong) could be forgiven and then He rose from the dead. Now we can have a better relationship with God because when Jesus died he took the punishment we deserve for all our mistakes. Our sin is like dirt. If we get dirty, we have to do something to wash it off. So when we ask for forgiveness (or say we're sorry to God) God washes the sin away and he sees us as clean or perfect, and we can have a relationship with Him again. Now I want to obey God and do what He wants. I want to please God and do things his way instead of doing things my own way. That's the free gift! By asking Jesus into your life and trying to live your life to please Him, God forgives you and you will be able to live with God forever in Heaven! Being a Christian is great, but that doesn't mean it will always be easy. There is still 'bad' in the world but as Christians we always have God and other Christians to turn to. You will never be alone again! Some people (even adults) think that as long as they're nice to others and do the right thing or if their parents are Christians that will get them into heaven someday, but that's not true. You have to decide that you accept God's gift and tell God you want it. Once you do that Jesus automatically lives in you. If you've decided that you want to accept the free gift you need to talk to God and tell him that. Here is a prayer that you can say: Jesus I'm sorry for all the things I've done wrong and I want to say I'm sorry and ask for forgiveness. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for me to pay for my mistakes. I invite you to come into my life so you can wash all the sin away. From now on I'm going to try to please you. Thank-you for loving me Jesus! Amen. If you've prayed that prayer you're a Christian! Jesus lives inside of you right now and he's washed all the sin away! Please let someone know (your Sunday School teacher, parent, pastor) if you prayed the prayer. An adult can help you or answer any questions you might have (after all they are your second family now). And try to stay clean. God washed your sin away but you will still make mistakes. You need to continually ask God to forgive you and while you're at it, talk to Him about anything else, He loves you and wants to hear from you. "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." John 1:12

Just being around tons of people who do it all the time caught up with me. So I am having a hard time myself controlling it. Whenever something goes wrong or I get mad, some words slip out...lol. But personally how to stop cussing is to stop yourself before they come out. Which may sound easy, but it is not...I am still working on it myself! Or like say other words like "fudge" or something. It was just that I was VERY busy, I had sports, school, and a lot of things are happening in my family. Stressful but yet good things. And more are coming. So could you girls please pray for me and my family? I also have been straining away from God, and I absolutely hate it. But my favorite book of the Bible is Esther, just her brave story makes it my favorite, she is also my favorite women in the Bible. I would explain the plot of her story, but that could take the whole page! Lol...;p. Ways to get God more in your life is definitely read the Bible, do some devotionals, and pray! Prayer is the main thing I'd do, because God hears every prayer and puts it in consideration, sometimes God wont answer every prayer, but their is a reason he doesn't, because he puts something else special in your life, and then you won't need that thing you prayed about. :) It all clicks in God's eyes, just sometimes we don't see it until it really happens. We have plenty of more years to worry about dating and etc., right now as young girls we should work on our relationship with God and becoming better Christians, while still having a fun time in life. :) If you dont mind me asking, are you just going into 6th grade or are you now about to go into 7th grade? I'm asking this bc I know some schools are already out for summer break and some aren't. (Like I'm already out for the summer :)) I remember those good old days in 6th grade...I'm now 9th grader. Just a piece of advice from me to you, enjoy being a 6th grader, because the older you get, you get more and more responsibilities, more drama, and you'll soon be wishing you were a lil kid again, not worrying about homework and boyfriend troubles, and you will just want to watch cartoons like back in the good old days! I'm not saying getting older doesn't have it perks (because it does :D), but dont just wish you can get older, because sooner than you know it, you'll be driving, then soon you'll be getting your diploma and about to go in the real world. Anyways, lol, all I'm saying is just enjoy being young as you are! I wish I didn't always worry as much as I did in 6th grade...just enjoy each day that comes your way! Personally when you pray you have to believe God is listening, because he is, you arent talking to yourself girlie :). I was also try reading the Bible, it can help you understand prayer better. I know what you mean by thinking you are talking to yourself. is God really listening? will praying really work? I ask myself these questions all the time, but then I realized its just Satan trying to confuse me, trying to make me not to believe in God's miracles he can do. So my best advice is to pray, believe God is there, read the Bible, you may learn a few things from that book, and ask God into your heart so you can become a Christian (if you haven't done this yet). I hope this helps :). Oh and btw, you do have a nice friend! I would definitely ask her some questions if your ever in doubt about God and Christianity! Some churches have a bus that they pick up kids and take them to the church. And I know what you're feeling about the whole talking to yourself thing. Good Friday is a day when we remember the sacrifice of all sacrifices that was made when the Lamb of God (Jesus) died on the cross so that our sins could be forgiven and we could go to Heaven. Isn’t it amazing to think about how much God, the creator of the Universe, who is so big that He can hold the universe in His hand, loves us sooooo much that He sent His own son, the very son of God!!!, to die for us, a mere speck in the universe!!! Jesus was humiliated; whipped, beaten, spat on, and nailed to a cross. God did all of this for YOU!!! What else has God done for you that you are thankful for? MusicTaughtMeHowToLive angelicjade: I am not saying that because us Christians think that homosexuality is wrong, we are going to treat them wrong. We would never do that. Even if someone is homosexual or not, you shouldn't treat them different, harass, bully, or tease. I am sorry people may judge or tease you, but what those people are doing to you are wrong, mean, and is hurtful. No one should be bullied like that. But I will say, not everyone in this world is straight because 1. The World is not perfect. 2. Their is sin in this world, whether we like it or not. 3. God gives you the choice of how you live your life. God gives us guidelines to follow in life (Like in the Bible) but some people decide not to follow them, and even though that is sinning, God still loves them. And I know that is a hard thing to wrap around. You don't have to apologize for being bi, but because I am Christian and it clearly states in the Bible that being a homosexual is not how you are born, that is just what I believe. Now this may or may not change your mind, and you have the total right to believe what you want to believe, but the Bible is not just a book. It's like a answer book to everything God wants us to know, and million of people use it everyday for several reasons. I mean to me their is no words to describe the Bible, its like a book God told followers of Him to make about the struggles we may have, the questions we may have, and put the answers in it that even people today still use. It's been perfectly made and it's like God's words on paper. So maybe this will answer some of you questions. Thank you for posting your opinion. MusicTaughtMeHowToLive Ok so the whole conversation about if homosexuality is ok or not, according to the Bible, it is not. God strongly puts in Leviticus 20:13 that "If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads." God created Adam and Eve, a man and woman, to be together, not two of the same gender. This verse proves that God did not create homosexuality, a person DECIDES if he/she becomes a homosexual, but they were not born this way. But even though God does not approve homosexuality, he does love all of us, homosexual or not. John 3:16 states, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” So yes, according to the Bible, being a homosexual is not the way God created you, and He dissaproves, but even if you are one, God will always love you. Hopefully this clears things up.

It's pretty much proof that God does indeed exist, so does Heaven and Hell, Jesus did walk on this Earth and died for our sins, and that God will always love us and when we ask for forgiveness, he will forgive us. Another reason I believe in God is because I grew up in a Christian household, and most of my family is Christian. But not everyone I know grew up like that, so personally it depends on the person on how they believe that God does exist. I will tell you though if you hear in the news about those, as you could say "crazy" people who say "they had personal talks to God" to do wrong doings, that was NOT God. God does not instruct people to do wrong doings, God wants us to share His word, not to destruct or hurt anyone. Sounds more like Satan was talking to them, but that is just my personal belief. Anyway, I know you didnt mean to offend or anything, and you just wanted to ask a question, and that is a-ok! If you have any more questions, please don't be afraid to ask. We all make mistakes, some big, some small, but we're human, and God knows it too. We sin, and that is why we need Him so our sins can be forgiven. I would just pray to God and ask for your wrongdoings to be forgiven. Also if you scared, just talk a Christian friend, talk to your priest, or read your Bible. It always seems to me that whenever I am worried/scared and I read my Bible, its like God flips the right page for me to read. You can ask God to do the exact same thing, by praying to him. Ask for him to come in your heart and to never leave. Now I'm not forcing you to do this, but I really would love if you just pray to God, read a Bible, or ask a friend about God and see what they say. I am a Christian and I have been my entire life, but I also like to believe in things that logically and scientifically make sense. If logic and/or science don’t back it up, then I’m not likely to believe in it, yet after all the research I’ve done, Christianity still remains logically and scientifically proven. I think the problem is inmyownlittleword is asking the wrong questions or looking for the wrong things. Two sites that really helped me when I was starting to doubt my faith are www.answersingenesis.com and www.godinscience.com. There is no need to go against science. But, like you said, God does love everyone, whether Christian or not. And, the only way to get to heaven is to believe in Him, no matter what others say. I do agree, at times God does seem unrealistic or mysterious, but think about it, humans are limited. We can never fully understand God, only what He chooses to reveal to us. So, long story short, science and Christianity do not have to be in conflict with each other.

I think you are in the right direction by coming to Fearless Females, because you are (I suppose) slightly concerned about it. You are God’s child, whether you want to be or not. You are his creation. His. He desires and inner personal relationship with you and LOVES YOU UNCONDITIONALLY. That is the best part about the Lord. He loves you no matter what you do, you just must believe and trust in him. He is my Savior. To be saved, you must admit that you have done wrong in life and need his help. You must believe he died on the cross for our sins and choose him to be your Lord and Savior. You must truly believe, from the bottom of your heart. To gain faith, you have to talk. These are the 3 components of a relationship: Talk, trust, and then walk. Talk to Him. Even if it feels weird at first, talk. Say whatever is on your mind, whether you say to him you are uncomfortable and confused at the moment, worried, or anything. It will be tough, confusing, and may seem stupid at first, but over time your love for God and faithfulness to him will grow. I recommend the book, “Devotions for the God Girl” by Hayley DiMarco. If you do not own a Bible, ask to borrow a friend’s. It is the living, breathing word of God and has the power to guide your life, I would know! When I was around the age of 6/7, I was once in my mom's dress drawer and found a bracelet in a jewelry box. I took it from my mom's drawer and showed it to my mother. She made me put it back, I asked her why and she told me "You aren't ready to wear it yet." I never understood what she meant. Every year after that, I found it and asked her if I could wear it, she told me no every time with the same explanation. In these last 3 years, I forgot about the bracelet, until a couple of days ago, my mom was cleaning through her closet and found it. I looked at the pendant, it said "Purity" with the words "Psalm 51:10" on the back. But this time I didn't find it, my mom did, and this time, she let me keep it. I now knew what it meant. When I was little, I thought the bracelet was like gold, so valuable, but now as I look at it, it was just a simple bracelet, but it has value. The biggest things come in the smallest package. I decided to look up Psalm 51:10 on my computer and see what the verse said, this is what it says, "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me" As 13 year old now, I now know what this bracelet means. Remember girls, remain pure until marriage, because God did create a man out there just for you, we just have to have the patience to find him. ~MusicTaughtMeHowToLive

MusicTaughtMeHowToLive Ok girls..I need your advice. I have a friend...who..well...goes to church, but doesn't exactly believe in God. It's hard to explain. She thinks some of the stories in the Bible are odd and make no sense, (like for example: she thinks WHY would God make Abraham almost kill his own son, Issac, on Mount Moriah. She thinks that makes no sense and its stupid.) I try to explain to her why God did this, but then we get into it and then she says forget it because she said fighting over the whole thing is stupid and the story itself is stupid. Even one time she has told me she doesn't care about God, Heaven or Hell, and doesn't care about which one she is going to. Personally it sounds to me she is unsure if their is even a Heaven or Hell, and she really doesn't care. Sometimes it feels that Satan is trying to get to her and change her mind about what God really does for people. She is also believes anything she reads, and she read something on this site which was very false about God. (Which got us in this argument over Christianity.) This may make my friend sound horrible, but she really isnt. She is a great friend of mine and it makes me sad she thinks these things about the Bible, God, Christianity, and etc., and it frustrates me that I can't explain good enough for her to understand. How can I get my friend to understand more about Christianity without sound preachy? Please also pray for this girl, for that her eyes will open to realize what God truly does and that He is the one and only God. All comments are welcome...thanks!

Sometimes when you look at little ants marching in lines, you see some ants getting lost in track. Trying to talk to them won't help because they won't understand. We're so big and these little ants are so small. I wish I can turn into an ant myself so they will understand me. Isn't this kind of like what God did. He loves us so so much that He actually came down to Earth as man to save us. He created everything and nothing would be created without him so He should've been treated like a King but He was humble. I personally do believe faith is a big role n a good boyfriend/girlfriend relationship, but personality is also a big trait too! You don't want a guy who is Christian but not romantic, fun, or funny. But even a guy with a nice personality can have no faith and if your Christian, you may have issues. So as I look at it, faith probably is more of a bigger role. But remember that this is your friend's opinion, not yours, I know it is sometimes hard not to argue, but if she is not a Christian, or even if she is, tell her your point of view and then let her express her opinion. If you think the argument is not going anywhere, then drop it. You've tried to tell her your opinion, but it just isn't working, friendship isn't worth over a argument like this. Maybe another time will come up when you and your friend can talk more deeply about it.

volleyball514 Hi, I would just like to point out that that is not what all Christians believe about evolution. I am a Christian and I accept the "scientific" view of evolution. Yes, God created humans in His image and He created the rest of the world, but did He do it in seven “calendar” days? Not necessarily, “God days” could be different than “human days,” and so God could have created the world over a long span of human time while evolution occurred. Everyone can have their own opinion about this; I was just voicing my personal belief about it and saying that not all Christians have the same opinion on this topic. It’s up to you, your faith, and your personal relationship with God as to what you believe!

Personally their are people in my grade (Im in 8th grade) and they have been 'dating' people since 5th grade. Dating to me is when you have a personal, strong, romantic relationship with a boy (Unless your a boy, it would be a girl then) that has it boundaries. A lot of girls I know in my grade have dated boys, but never went out on a 'date.' They just texted, go to games together, and make their relationship on Facebook to "in a relationship" than "single". Personally that is not dating to me. Dating should be when you can go on dates, your parents are okay with you dating, and your not ashamed of dating the person! No, I have never dated anyone, and I'm just waiting until high school. But I have a lot of friends come to me for advice on boys. In the Bible, I haven't really seen any passages about dating, I've seen a lot about marriage, just not dating, but Ik there is prob some in there! I think though that if your a Christian, you should date other Christians, but that is just my personal belief. Two things you girls need to remember when you are in a relationship, set boundaries, and make sure your parents OKAY with you dating! Every relationship needs boundaries, because well if you don't have any boundaries, things can go wrong and too far. And I think you girls know what I mean by that. Also having your parents on your side with dating will probably be much easier than trying to sneak date someone. All I say to dating is: Have fun, enjoy having a boy by your side, be romantic, but remember to be careful.

But I let me tell you something that you have probably heard all your life: Your not perfect. No one is. God gave his only son, Jesus, to come down on this Earth to die and to wash away our sins away so we could live in Heaven and have eternal life. Satan tries to get in our minds and tell us that since we are not perfect Christians at times (like being mean, rude, selfish, spiteful, all those words) that we are not a Christian anymore, but the thing is, we still are. We may just not have such a close, personal relationship with God as we did before. I've heard a lotta people get rededicated, and if you think need to do that, that's totally fine. But since you said you've been saved, you will always be a Christian, God will always love you and be there for you. But to break out of your bad habits, I would try to read your Bible more often, do some devotionals, pray everyday, and do WWJD? (What would Jesus Do?) To put WWJD in to play, when your in a situation think about it: What Would Jesus Do? You may think that's silly, but at times it will help you in life! I hope my advice helped. I wish you the best in your journey trying to reconnect with God :)

There are three girls written about in the series so far. 12 books for Christy, 12 for Serria, 3 more for Christy, and 3 for Katie, but none of the books are very long and they come in sets of three.

That being said, 1 Corinthians 6:9- Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality… 1 Corinthians 6:18- Run from sexual sin! No other sin clearly affects the body as this one does. For sexual immorality is a sin against your own body. Now, the Bible doesn’t address anorexia directly, but it does address food and self-image/esteem (lack of which is a major cause of anorexia. Mark 7:19- For it doesn’t go into their heart, but into their stomach, and then out of the body. (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods clean.) Genesis 1:27- So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God, He created them; male and female, he created them. Hope this is what you were looking for!!!

I like to wake up ten minutes early, because there is no way I can decide I’m “too busy” or “too tired” when there is nothing else to do that early in the morning. You can try a devotional or a reading plan, or get a friend to read with you (so that someone can hold you accountable). In the end it all comes down to patience and discipline. Good luck!

pondhouse The Hard Lessons of Mathew 7 #1: Here it is! The first of my mini-devotional series! This devotional is going to focus on Mathew 7:1-2 (a small part, I know). If you read this passage, it talks about judging others. I’m pretty sure that we have all judged someone before. For example, when I first met this girl, I felt like she thought she was too good for me and immediately labeled her as a superficial person. I had judged her. Turns out, she thought that I thought I was too good for her. She had judged me too. In the same way she was judged, I was judged (just like verse two!). Today, we are great friends, and now know that our judgments were totally wrong. It just proves how wrong judgments can be. Judging is hard NOT to do. Most of the time, I judge someone from just one glance, and most of my judging is unconscious. But even if I unconsciously judge someone, I can still try hard to give every person a chance to prove my judgment wrong (and many times they will). We have to remember that people are three dimensional. Their personality can’t be easily grasped, because there is always more to their story. The problem with judging people is that we make them two dimensional, and we begin to believe that they can’t be any different. But God knows that there is more than meets the eye, and he wants us to realize it to. So have you judged anyone lately? Pray to God and ask for him to help you give people more than a glance before you decide who they are.

MusicTaughtMeHowToLive Oh. My. Being in school can change your attitude with a snap. Since being in school, I have not been reading my bible, been not as positive of an attitude as this summer, and have not been praying that much, because by the time I go to sleep, I am wipe out. And yes, these are all excuses. I don't wanna fall into the attitudes of people in my middle school. I feel that I have disconnected from God just a lil bit. I pray time to time...but it's not the same. Lately whenever I pray for something, I am getting it with the grace of God. Now I need to give back to God and thank him for these amazing things he's been doing in my life. I go to my local Christian club in my town...church, and youth group, but still. Just please pray I will get back into my old routine and read my bible @ least 3x a week!

pondhouse JNEVEREARLEY-Being saved is a little different for everyone, because no two people are alike. But basically being saved means that you realize the Jesus is the son of God who came to save us from our sins, and that you repent (or turn your back on/confess and apologize for your sins). When you confess your sins to God and are truly sorry for them, then you are halfway there. After repenting, you have to accept Jesus as your Lord and savior. Reading your Bible is a great way to learn more about salvation, and if you don’t go to church I highly recommend you find one, or at least a strong Christian friend to help you and answer your questions. But remember, you can’t just READ the Bible, you have to RESPOND to what the Bible says. You will never be perfect, and you will keep sinning, but as long as your heart is changed and you truly love (and live for) Jesus, you are saved. pondhouse So I was reading my Bible and I came across Mathew 7:1-5. It is a little long so I won’t type it here but I really encourage you to read it. I don’t know about you, but I have a real problem with judging others. When I read this, I realized what a hypocrite I am. I am always saying (or thinking) about how this girl gossips too much or how that girl brags too much, but I have never stopped to think about whether or not I gossip or brag too much. I am constantly judging people and writing them off, thinking that I’m too good for them, or that they are too different to hang out with. I don’t even give some people a chance; I just take one look at them and decide that they can’t be my friend. This verse made me step back and reevaluate myself and my actions. I encourage you to do the same. If there is something you need to fix (which, no offense, but there always is), try to make an effort to stop yourself and remove the “plank of wood” from your eye.

pebo11 2 months ago I broke away from a really good habit of reading my Bible every day. I am recently getting back into it, and it is amazing how refreshed I feel! It is like I am starting over, completely. Right now I am thanking God for loving me, despite all of my faults, and separating all of my sins as far as the East is from the West (Psalms 103:12). All of a sudden I am understanding what I never really understood...in Psalms, the hardest book for me to read!! This goes to prove how much allowing God into your life, and listening to Him can affect you. I challenge all of you guys to find the time to spend at least 10 minutes a day with Him!

MusicTaughtMeHowToLive PLEASE READ Question: Have you guys ever reflected on your life? Look back when your little, look how far you come, the people you met, the memories you know you'll never forget, good or bad? Well right now, I am in that mood where...idk how to say it, I am just happy for a life...I guess that is how you can put it. Right now, I have a song stuck in my head, and some of you may have heard it..."Gift of a friend" by Demi Lovato. Really today was the first time I have heard the song all the way through. And when I heard it today, I loved it. Loved her voice, the song, n of course, the lyrics. Hearing that song over and over makes me realize, how great it is to have friends. How they are there for you, make you laugh, and what make school 10x better. Could you image a day without no friends @ school? Think about it, it would be one word: Suck. You would have no one to talk to, no one to sit by, and no one to laugh with. But what I am trying to say is, God is just like a BFF, always there, and always will be. One day my mom told me that she wanted me to ask God anything. She wanted him to be my best friend, like He was when she was my age, and I personally took that to heart. Ever since she said that, my relationship with God couldn't be better. I pray every night, ask him questions, and give him my worries. And speaking of a friend, a very close friend of mine just finish coming back to Christian camp. And today she posted a long blog about how she rededicated herself at camp. She said that God was opening her eyes to her, speaking to her heart. She was already a Christian but knew her relationship needed to be stronger. So she took an adult, and told him about how she felt, and was rededicated. She said she cried, but it was a good cry, a cry of rejoicing. And to everyone who has joined this club, its ok to cry. Sad or happy cries, doesnt matter, its totally healthy, and sometimes needs to happen. But if either happens, and you need a friend, you can call up a BFF, or hang out with one, but remember, dont forget God is there too, and will listen to every word YOU have to say! So maybe you have a fav song that makes you reflect on your life, and thats good, thats wat songs are about, and truely, some song tell you how to live. And that what makes up my username: Music Taught Me How To Live. But personally, if i could change it, it should be: GodTeachesMeHowToLive. So any girl who reads this, reflect on your life, take time to be with God, have a bible group with friends, or open up a bible by yourself and have prayer. kjm109 Hey girlie! It is totally ok to pray with your eyes open as long as you can focus on God better that way. For me it is defiantly easier because with my eyes closed I tend to hear a sentence for example and take that one sentence and my mind goes totally off on a new concept and I don’t hear the rest of the prayer. People around the world pray in a lot of different ways, my youth pastor said that when he went on a mission trip to China they all gathered around in a circle and prayed at once no one had their little moment of “fame” (for lack of a better word) they all just prayed together. In the bible it says we are to go to a quiet place to be with the lord but as long as you pray it doesn’t matter how you do it.

Now what I am about to say you may take as a opinion, and thats ok, thats your opinion. But I guess what I am trying to say is, do any of you on here NOT know Christ? I mean just answer to yourself, but if you need some1 to talk to, then I am here! Nothing you will say is embarrassing, or stupid. We are all here for each other! Because I believe, sadly, not everyone can go to Heaven. The way to Heaven is through God, and I know I have may have said that b4, but I want ppl to realize that! Now I am soo not trying to scare you girlies, not one bit, but I just want you to realize, there is a Heaven, and sadly *another place below* and those are only the 2 catergories. Now if you are just to scared, embarrassed, or whatever to say you want to learn more, thats ok. Ask a friend, a adult, pastor or somebody that can help you! But if you already know much about the Bible, know all of what I am saying, but just haven't accepted God, and you just dont know who to ask, you can accept God by yourself. Saying these simple words can change your life and you can be born again! *Lord, please forgive me for I am sinner, and without your son dying on the cross, Idk where I'd be! So I pray right now, that I accept you in my heart, as my personal Savior, for I know, the only way to get into Heaven, is through you, so I can have eternal life. Amen* And thats it! I just wanted to say this so for anyone having a struggle right now, and dont know Him yet, you are so welcome to ask questions and etc on here! Thanks!
