I warn you now, that if you do not attend to your positions, then you will have approximately two weeks grace period until your position becomes open. The job of the Spiritual Advisor is to answer question that people inquire about their spiritual life (I know this is broad, however, do not answer questions pertaining to being transformed into the new life of a Christian. This is the main job of the Transformational Specialist. The Spiritual Advisor answers questions about Bible verses, the Bible in general and has to be very knowledgeable about the Bible. The applications will be posted separately because of the differences in each of the positions. I will post an introduction to myself so newer members have an idea who I am and my faith. Please take this club seriously, as it is to me. I need people to count on for this club to run its purpose 24/7. Thanks! :)

*B*E*<3 Sorry I haven’t been on in forever ladies! I have been incredibly busy. I haven’t had a free weekend since August! (No joke). I am a freshman in high school. I am currently taking 3 Advanced Placement classes (AP World History, AP Geometry, and AP World Literature.) Not to mention marching band just ended last weekend. I had a competition EVERY weekend for 7 weeks straight. Practice 5 days a week since July. And by competition I mean spend the night at school, get up at 2, ride on a bus for 7 hours, and then get back at school on Sunday morning at 5am. Now basketball just started (practice 6 days a week, 3 hours at a time through March. So for 5 months.) Then soccer starts. Then I will begin working in June, when my 15th birthday is. So I try, I really do, but I just don’t have time! :P I have been staying up until 2:30 am most of the time just to get my homework done. Not to mention practiced my French horn for all district band every single night for minimum of 2 hours. ~*AS FOR OFFICER POSTIONS*~ I would like to open the postions to ANYONE for the next TWO WEEKS. So on NOVEMBER 18TH, 2012, applications for officer positions are due. I will carefully consider anyone and everyone that applies. I will post the application above this so not to confuse everyone. *B*E*<3 @nellieg3, It depends on how your friend is. If she is kind of sensitive to this subject, it might be harder, but she did say yes! I would briefly tell her what to expect so she isn't intimidated. Know where your place is before you talk to her ahead of time; I would recommend showing her Ephesians 2, because it is very helpful in this situation. Make sure you don't force it on her, or she will only be turned away! Explain it to her simply, and make sure you answer her questions. One of the most important steps is follow-up. Ask her how her faith is. Be that friend the she can lean on spiritually. Be confident who you are in Christ, and ask God to guide you when you speak to her! Best of luck girly! :)

*B*E*<3 @rockchik333, Yes it is difficult to be a christian, regardless who you are with! This is because we all sin. Your Christian friends sin, yes, it is easier to be a christian with a christian, but it also might be how comfortable they are with discussing their faith. Also, sometimes, they may seem Christian, but deep down are still confused on things. They may be troubled by the fact that they just can't seem to fully give their life to Jesus. In other cases, they can freely discuss their faith, but sin is still creeping in to what you discuss. In Ephesians 4:29 says, "Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen." So if we are making perverted jokes, having bad thoughts, or just looking at someone with judgement, that makes it all the more difficult to show a Christian heart. Find a good friend who is also a Christian that sees eye to eye with you on this area. Hold each other accountable for how you talk. Don't get me wrong, still have fun, laugh, and enjoy your time together, but sometimes, if it is a good friend that we feel comfortable around, we let the reigns loose and just joke around 'unwholesome talk'. We must remember though, that the devil has the ability to 'get a foothold of us' at any time. We must remind ourselves that! Regardless you are with your friends, family, a stranger, or anyone! *B*E*<3 Things in life are challenging. We know that. Our mission in life is to share the Good News. We have to understand that school, school is our BATTLEFIELD. We are called to show kindness to the unlovable, give to the needy, obey authority, offer forgiveness, humble yourself, turn the other cheek, and he will life you up. If the Lord is demanding something from you, then you are not listening. How do you listen? You read his WORD. The Bible is the living, breathing word today of GOD; if we want to be like God , we must listen to what he tells us, so we may imitate him. Romans 3:31 (NIV) says, “Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.” This verse means, “Only when we have faith, do we truly fulfill the law.” When you have faith that God is who he says he is, you will then begin to obey him. So in other words, @Christiangal345, we are called to FORGIVE, because Christ forgave the most horrific sins, while he is still perfect. Forgiveness is showing Christ’s love. If you do not forgive, you are deep down judging them, and saying to them, “I would never do that.” Whereas, we sin too. It is dangerous even to not forgive. In fact, Ephesians 2:1 says, “You were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Life the rest, but we were by nature objects of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, mad us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions- it is by grace you have been saved.” This to me means that we have not right to judge. It says we were DEAD. No one person can be more “dead” than another. We are just dead. Whether or not you were made ALIVE by Christ at age four or seventy-three, you were dead also. Therefore, we have no right to judge someone that is “dead”, but rather to show them the light of Christ by forgiving them and showing them God’s love. People might plan to hurt you, but no one can hurt you unless you decide to let them. How you think about who is ultimately in control of life and what trials are for will decide how much they hurt you. If you trust that God is who he says he is and decide that nothing matters except pleasing him, then you won’t be destroyed, only made stronger. Adversity is only part of our training for the battle of our lives, as I see it. We are slaves to God and God alone; no one else will tell you what to do, how to act, or how to feel. Does this help?

*B*E*<3 What will your summer consist of ladies? Will it include any time with God? Serving God? Some of our summers feel totally planned out already. Some of us, we just plan on sitting on the couch all summer, like always. Do you wan this summer to be a summer that you will remember? For most of us, school starts in August. Basically when August hits, the summer is over. You may have a week or two left, but it is over. When you wake up, and look back on your summer, what will you think? Will you think, “Wow. I did pretty much nothing.” Or, will you say, “Wow. This summer was amazing! I really gave my summer to God!” Whatever you do this summer, you can do something to serve the Lord. Everything you do. Having an attitude like the Lord. Turning your anger into love. Showing love to everyone, not only some people. Make this summer when you reflect on happily. What does God want for you this summer? Pray about it. Read Romans 12. “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Romans 12:2, NLT Version. Let God transform you into a new person by the way you think. How do you think? I will be praying for our thoughts to be more uplifting to God, and for us to be changed by that.

*B*E*<3 Hey! Sorry girls it took me so long to reply! I have been gone at my grandma’s for the week- she lives really far away and there is NO internet there! But @honeycakes, Try reading Esther, Philippians, 2 Corinthians, or even James is a good book. They are all fantastic. I would recommend getting together with a friend that is more knowledgeable in the Bible than you, and you can have one on one time with God’s Word weekly, and mentor each other. Do a devotional. I REALLY recommend having a friend there for you! I will be praying for ya! :)

*B*E*<3 R.B.C.F #2 One big point in the Bible that I do not think is discussed enough now is respecting your parents. Being a teenager is difficult, I understand that. We must not use being a teenager as an excuse to disobey consistently our parents rules. If they set a rule, then it is set in stone. Follow it. Jesus gave us our parents to teach us and dicipline us, not to harm us. He gave them the job of parent, not you. It is your job to accept even the tough disciplinary actions. I struggle with this personally. Some things your parent(s)/guardian does seems completely unfair. For example, say, you don't clean your room. Your stepmom says, "Give me your iPod, you did not clean your room." You want to pout and scream. God calls us to except discipline for our own good. Your parents may not know Christ, so be an example! Show your maturity by cleaning the room that they have offered to let you live in, do the dishes without asking, and be open to tell them about your life. I do not know about you, but my mom always wants to know how I am doing. She wants in on my life. I do not know why, but I have a hard time with that. I have made a goal for myself to just ask how her day was, do little favors, and tell her about my life. Our relationship is stronger because I put more effort into our relationship. I suggest making a notecard of things that would improve you and your parents relationship with one another. Sign the card and give it to your parents to keep so they may hold you accountable. Remember that your room, the room you share, or any place that you call yours is your parents. If you rent out an apartment, then that is a different story. Otherwise, you live in their house and abide by their rules. It is not your room that you can trash, it is their's. Make sure you respect that, so, keep it clean. (I struggle slightly with that also). If your room is dirty right now, go clean it up before you get on to any other electronics. Also remember that they will not respect you unless your respect them. :)

*B*E*<3 I am going to begin a devotional series, even though we only have 7 members (not including me or spammers). The series will begin with just the basic fundamentals of Christianity. The acronym for this series is R.B.C.F (Remembering Basic Christianity Fundamentals). *** Christianity-the religion derived from Jesus Christ, based on the Bible as sacred scripture, and professed by Eastern, Roman Catholic, and Protestant bodies. This is Merriam Webster’s definition of Christianity. In technical form, it is. To me, being a Christian is not being the stereotypical, ‘good girl’ or ‘perfect one’. Being a Christian to me is being a follower of Christ. It is someone who knows they have sinned, and knows that the Lord is the only one who can forgive them. That He died on the cross so that they may have eternal life in heaven with Him. They must choose him to be their Lord and Savior, no one else can make that decision for them. Being a Christian is not only believing this, but living it out. James 2: 24 says, “You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone.” True, strong Christians are the children of God who are fearless of what others think, and spread the Word of God. They live out the Message. We must pray for God’s guidance and strength to allow us to do that, though. A popular verse, Isaiah 41:10 says, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Be fearless.

*B*E*<3 @miracleo, I am like that too. It is hard. (Just like every other Christian thing!) Are there ANY Christians in your school? Or do you got to basically a ghetto school like me that have no Christians? You said you are a preachers kid, so maybe you could invite someone to church? Easier said than done. If you have even ONE friend that is a strong Christian that goes to your school, then talk to them about how you feel. It is important to not be in this alone. You could start a small Bible study in the mornings before school or something. Make action plans. Pray that he will be with you and take care of you when you are lonely and trying to shine your light in the darkness. (Cliché, I know!) I like these two verses when I am feeling lonely: Psalm 41, 2 Timothy 4:16-18. Remember when you are trying to bring people to Christ to not force it on them, but gentle, considerate of their beliefs, and loving just like Christ. We are not called to prove God, but to live like him and show his love. You don’t have to talk about Jesus all the time, just be a loving, caring, kind person. Then people may start to wonder what is different about you, and may ask why you are happy all the time. Hih! (Hope I helped).

*B*E*<3 @miracleo, it is hard to stick out in the crowd. I go through it everyday, or at least everyday I try. I blend in with the crowd sometimes. There are so many people around you like the strongest vacuum in the world, trying to suck you in with them. We are the weak crumb that is being picked up. We want to have friends, we want to be liked, like anyone. Jesus calls us to go against that, to be the Jesus Freak that sticks out. He says to choose him over having friends. That is hard. We have to realize that He is our friend, our Savior, or Father, and much more. We have to pray to him for guidance and to bring someone to us that needs us, moreover that needs him. If we can be the body of Christ, the leader in our school, the one who is a light in the midst of darkness, then that light will shine. People will eventually question where are peace comes from, and the answer is Jesus. As I type this, I realize I am a hypocrite for saying this. I want to let you girls know that we are all in this journey together, (cliché, I know!) but we can rely on one another to be friends. :)

It is okay to like certain songs, but some songs destroy your spiritual life. You need to make sure that you are devoted to God before you put yourself under the influence of modern pop stars. What makes you want to listen to that music? I agree, I do like some songs like that, but you need to realize your motivation for wanting to listen to the songs. If you like the upbeat, rap, pop feel, there are songs with that feel. There are many artists: TobyMac, Mandisa, Skillet, Red, and MANY others. Hope I helped! :)

*B*E*<3 @rockchik333, I am not sure what your circumstances are, but creating your own youth group is probably difficult. I would suggest starting a Bible study with a small group of girls. You can do service projects and a Bible study. :)

*B*E*<3 @Haley, there are many versions out there- NIV, ICB (It is International Children's Bible, but it is like any other Bible but a little easier to understand. Try talking to a Youth Pastor or writing down questions when you read the Bible. Whenever you see your Youth Pastor/ Pastor/ Minister, ask him the questions you have. I know it is hard, I have hard comprehending the symbolism and meanings of the Bible. Like I suggest to almost everyone, try "God Girl" by Hayley DiMarco or any other devotional that looks good. If you do not want to try out "God Girl", there are awesome devotionals by Susie Shellenberger. Devotionals discuss stories or morals of the Bible that you can take from the Bible, and helps you get through your day. I also suggest joining/creating a Bible study. When you have fellowship with other girls, it is easier to interpret the Bible when there are different perspectives all around you. Hope I helped! :)

fungirl123 I hate to say it, but my church isn't that good. We're really small and don't have a youth program besides LYO. I tell my parent that there are a lot of better churches with youth programs, but they don't listen. :(

I have something called a “Morning Watch Time” every morning in which I wake up 30 minutes earlier than normal and read my devotional and my daily chapter in the Bible. You have to be the Jesus freak that sticks out in the crowd. There are so many people that are atheist, and you cannot change that. All you can do is be the light that shines in the darkness. I have my struggles, like everyone. In those extremely tough times, you just have to remember that you have a God that loves you, cares for you, and wants you to obey him. It takes a long time to build up courage to do that, but you will soon realize that whatever people say does not matter, because you will one day be with the only one that matters. You are saved when you do the following: You pray to the Lord that you admit you have sinned, and you want to change that. You must truly believe he has died on the cross to save you from your sins, and choose him to be you Lord, you guidance and center of your life. Most of all, your Savior. I understand being lost. All relationships go through ups and downs, especially with God. Do you truly desire a relationship with God? I recommend that you get an NIV version Bible and the book, “Devotions for the God Girl” by Hayley DiMarco. It is an encouraging and inspiring devotional. How the book works is you read one page a day, in which helps you with your faith. If you own a smart phone or ipod, there is a really cool Bible application in which it contains many things: Devotionals (varying length), Bible, audio Bible, and even live sermons. If you do not own a Bible or a device in which you can get a Bible, ask a friend. Do you go to a church? Are you involved with a youth group? Try joining a youth group, it really helps. *B*E*<3 Hey :) I posted a comment like 5 minutes after you posted this, but it didn’t show up! Anyway, that doesn’t make you a bad person. I will surely pray for you! I think you are in the right direction by coming to Fearless Females, because you are (I suppose) slightly concerned about it. You are God’s child, whether you want to be or not. You are his creation. His. He desires and inner personal relationship with you and LOVES YOU UNCONDITIONALLY. That is the best part about the Lord. He loves you no matter what you do, you just must believe and trust in him. He is my Savior. To be saved, you must admit that you have done wrong in life and need his help. You must believe he died on the cross for our sins and choose him to be your Lord and Savior. You must truly believe, from the bottom of your heart. To gain faith, you have to talk. These are the 3 components of a relationship: Talk, trust, and then walk. Talk to Him. Even if it feels weird at first, talk. Say whatever is on your mind, whether you say to him you are uncomfortable and confused at the moment, worried, or anything. It will be tough, confusing, and may seem stupid at first, but over time your love for God and faithfulness to him will grow. I recommend the book, “Devotions for the God Girl” by Hayley DiMarco. If you do not own a Bible, ask to borrow a friend’s. It is the living, breathing word of God and has the power to guide your life, I would know!
