Harry Potter takes the stage?

Word on the street—OK, Facebook—is J.K. Rowling is co-producing an adaptation of Harry Potter for the British stage. The play will focus on Harry’s life before the entire world (and Hagrid) dropped in.

We have two copies of the entire series. We love the movies. We’re psyched we’re getting another, in fact. But a stage show? Without magic and Hogwarts and Ron and Hermione? Well, we just don’t know how to feel about that.

There are a few things we’d love to see though. Like…

+ A musical number starring Mrs. Figg and her incredible dancing cats

+ Dedalus Diggle popping in at random moments to bow to Harry in shops

+ A dream sequence featuring the famous flying motorbike

+ Harry willing his hair to grow back and being swept up onto the roof of his school to avoid Dudley’s Gang

What do you think, inklings? Will this be a flop, or will Jo hit it outta the park, per usual?
