Hi! I would like to apply for head of snacks. I've been cooking since I was about in third grade (I don't count the microwave that i've used since i was 5) I'm on GL at least once a day. I can easily post recipes once or twice a week. My favorite snack recipe: Bugs in a Blanket Ingrediants: 1 11 ounce can of Pilsbury Breadstick dough 24 cocktail smoked sausages 3 quarters of a cup of shoestring potatoes Ketchup BBQ sauce or mustard Process: 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees seperate breadsticks at the perforations making 12. Cut each breadstick in half crosswise. 2.Wrap each piece of dough around the middle of the sausage leaving the ends showing. 3.Bake 11 to 14 minutes or until golden brown. Move the bugs from the baking tray to a serving plate RIGHT AS YOU BRING IT OUT! 4.Put shoestring potatoes in the side to act as legs. Decorate with ketchup, mustard or BBQ sauce in stripe or dot patterns. Thank so much! -sangerboo_92

Hey, I'd like to apply for Head of Baking! 1)How much baking experience do you have? ~~ Ok, i gotta admit i dont have much baking experience but when i do bake stuff i love it! 2)Why do you love to bake? ~~ I'm not sure. It's just really fun and I love tasting the batter or dough especially with brownies or cookies. And you just have such a fun time! 3)How often do you get on gl? ~~ Every day! 4)Will you be able to post 1-2 recipes a week? ~~Yeah, sure! 5)Post one of your favorite baking recipes here:` ~~ Ok. Oreo Pie! Sooo yummy! 1/2 gallon ice cream (I suggest Mint Chocolate chip ) 12 oz. pkg. Cool Whip 1 pkg. Oreos Graham cracker or chocolate pie crust Soften ice cream. Mix in Cool Whip, crumble Oreos. Mix with other ingredients. Place in pie shell. Freeze for 2 hours. If you use 1/2 gallon ice cream and 12 ounce package Cool Whip make 3 pies.

Looks like today is the last day and because nobody posted for the head of baking I decided I might as well. I would rather be head of cooking but I will be head of baking if I must. I used to bake a lot more but lately I only bake about a pie a week sometimes two pies . I'm quit addicted to peach pie and I make it quit often. I have been baking since I was 8 about 7 years now. I love baking because it smells so good and it's fun to mix things and experiment. I get on GL once a day except for sunday. I will be able to post any amount of recipes every week My favorite recipe for baking is below it's peach pie of course! 1 (15 ounce) package pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie 1 egg, beaten 5 cups sliced peeled peaches 2 tablespoons lemon juice 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 1 cup white sugar or 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons butter preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (220 degrees C). Line the bottom and sides of a 9 inch pie plate with one of the pie crusts. Brush with some of the beaten egg to keep the dough from becoming soggy later. Place the sliced peaches in a large colander that is resting above another bowl, and sprinkle with lemon juice. Mix gently. Place colander in sink and pour in the lemon juice that seeped out over it again. Rinse quickly in cold water. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Pour the peaches into the dry mixture, and mix gently. Pour into the pie crust, and dot with butter. Cover with the other pie crust, and fold the edges under. Flute the edges to seal or press the edges with the tines of a fork dipped in egg. Brush the remaining egg over the top crust. Cut several slits in the top crust to vent steam. Bake for 10 minutes in the preheated oven, then reduce the heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and bake for an additional 30 to 35 minutes, until the crust is brown and the juice begins to bubble through the vents. If the edges brown to fast, cover them with strips of aluminum foil about halfway through baking. Cool before serving. This tastes better warm than hot. I do two things different with this pie. Instead of using the whole crust I cut it into strips and arrange it grid like over the top of the pie. Makes it look beautiful and also makes so you can make another top pie crust with the leftover pie crust. I also serve the pie with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Delish!

Hi I would like to be the head of cooking . I have been cooking since I was five (this is not a lie!) I am fifteen now so it's been ten years. I have been cooking 2 meals a day during the school year every year for the past three years. I love cooking and my favorite things to cook are pasta, chicken and pies (ya i no pies are baking not cooking but still I love it.) I get on GL 3-8 times a week and I would be able to put a breakfast, lunch AND dinner recipe on here every week if you would want me to put more than two recipes on here. Please consider me for this job. Thanks! Oh and one of my favorite recipes are below. It's not to complicated or too special just a normal meal, I like to make it for lunch but make it for dinner too. One 22 ounce bag of fettuccine noodles One cube butter One piece of garlic minced Six ounces cream cheese One cup cream One half cup cottage cheese One half cup mozzarella cheese One four cup cheddar cheese Three or four small boneless chicken breast One cup broccoli One tsp Basil One Tsp Oregano One Tlbs Garlic salt salt and pepper to taste One half tsp Parsley Melt butter in a large frying pan meanwhile boil noodles until AL Dente 8-9 minutes in a large sauce pan. Boil chicken in a separate smaller pan and broccoli in another pan. Add minced garlic and stir in cream cheese until melted add cheese and cream. Stir in all spices. Add cottage cheese stir completely. Cube chicken and add to sauce. Stir in chopped broccoli. Drain noodles and add sauce to noodles stir until well mixed. Serve! serves eight It is very easy to substitute any of these ingredients you can also add any other spices you think might make it taste better. A very easy recipe to change to suite your unique taste buds.

Hehe the other day my mom was grilling some planked salmon but she hardly ever grills anything my dad does it usually but then the inside of the grill caught on fire! She was freaking out our food was done already so she took it off and turned the gas off but it was still there so she freaked out and got mad, but it was still pretty funny. It went out though, when she finally figured out she should pour water on it oh well, the fish tasted good and there was no damage.
