I read your post about your friend that copies everything you do, I know the kind: a little too clingy, and somewhat stalker-ish. It gets sorta scary at times. You should explian to your bestie the fact that, even though she's a great friend, you sorta wanted to do the cheerleading thing alone. You wanted this to be a chance to make new friends, but you AREN'T ditching her. You just need a little bit of breathing room, and that's understandable. Maybe, you can get ALL of them together and it would work out. If it doesn't then you still don't have to choose between your bestie and your new big group of friends.
