Okay i have been moody and i have this like gooey sticky stuff when i go to the bath room what is it??????????

Dear girls confuzzled bout when ur period will come,
Everybody gets their first period at different times, as we all know. Getting your period when you hav devoloped B-cups, hav had discharge for YEARS, are ages 13 or 14, and hav started puberty are USUALLY the signs, but some girls get their first period around their 16th birthday! Others don't get their period until they are a C-cup. Every girl is DIFFERENT, but if you don't get your period before you turn 16 and are worried bout that, see you doctor for help.

I love the Always Infinity pads! They are the best, and if you put them in your underwear right, you won't be able to notice it! Hope this helps!

Dear volleyballgirl102,
If it hurts 2 put a tampon in, u r probaly putting it in wrong. try again on the heaviest flow day of ur period because its easiest 2 insert 1 then.

WHAT EVERY GIRL SHOULD KNOW ABOUT PERIODS
By Ash95

1) For the first year or two of getting your period YOU WILL MOST LIKELY BE IRREGULAR!

2) Being irregular is NORMAL and means getting 2 periods in one month, getting periods weeks apart, or the opposite, getting your period months apart.

3) It is a GREAT idea to first start out with pads and pantiliners. After AT LEAST half a year it's fine to use tampons, but first DO YOUR RESEARCH! Make sure you know the danger of TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome) and how to prevent it, when to change your tampon, and anything else you want to know. You can even ask me!

4) Lastly, every girl is different and so are her periods, so if you have a question that I didn't answer JUST ASK ME!

ok well the look from your blog you are a good helper and that i sjust what i need i am on the swim team i practice tommarow and got my period monday and swim is on this thursday i am using tampads already but what if my tampod falls out or the string i think there is more boys than girls there but i know how to use a tompod already i am just worried it may fall out or something!!!!! I also have one more? what type of tampod do you suggest i am using tamod sports cause i do soccer softball dance(ballet tap jazz point) and swim and i think there working fine but i like to know what others use!!??!?

Okay so I am 13(soon to be 14) and I got my period in the beginning of June 2008. It was a pretty heavy flow and it lasted for about 7 days so I don't think it was spotting. The only this is...I haven't gotten it since!!!! I am freaking out. It has almost been a whole year!!!! Also: I still have discharge, but sometimes it's pretty thick like snot. (gross. I know.) is that normal? Do I need to see a doctor??? Please, anyone help me! Is it possible I have premature menopause or something?!?!?!?? I'm scared!!!

Most likely it is ur period. It could also b spotting, but watever it is don't freak it's totally normal 4 ur bod.

Dear tapdancer47,

Periods r very difficult! It most likely won't be regular at first (i kno it stinks!) 2 prevent leaks change ur pad every 3 to 4 hours. U should track ur periods! Get a calender and count 28 days from the 1st day of ur last period and wear a pantiliner (or a pad if there is NO way 2 get pantiliners) 4 like a week b4 that day. OR if u once u kno how many days r between ur periods wear a pantiliner a week or 2 b4 that date.

Hope this helps (if u need more tricky period help let me kno!)

Dear live2mkplplaugh,

First of all, whether u wear a tampon OR a pad u still need 2 change it 2 to 4 hours. Tampons leak if in 2 long, and pads also leak or get smelly. And 4 the vacations but a box of supplies and put it in ur suitcase 4 every vacation. That way u will be prepared. Plus, pads and pantiliners r best 4 "first timers ." U should wait until u kno ur flow better or once its regular 4 tampons.

1) NO! Do not! Tampons can only be used 2 absorb period flow. They won't work right and wil hurt 2 take out becuz u won't b experiencing anything filling up the tampon. They can't b used 4 anything but ur period not EVEN discharge.

2) When u r ready 2 use tampons becuz u kno ur flow start out with regular absorbency. If u take it out and there is still lots of white switch 2 a lower absorbency, if is overfilled switch 2 a higher one.

Idk, the story sounds kind of fishy. But, it depends were madison and ur BF making out 4 a long time and when he saw u wat did he say? Like, why would madison make out with ur BF? HE might of been confused, but unless her BF is his twim SHE wasn't confused and knew who she was kissing. If it was a quick kiss and she jumped away from the kiss telling him she wasn't sophie, mayb it was just a misunderstanding. Also, weren't u guys wearing different outfits? Idk there r lots of different possibilities (as i just implied), so use ur own judgement if u want 2 forgive or forget him.

I c ur problem. U want him 2 kno u like him, but u don't want 2 b all obvious bout it. Well, a good way 2 let a gut kno u like him without saying OR writing i luv u is 2 just b nice. Save him a seat on the bus, invite him and his friends 2 dairy queen with u and ur friends. Plus an "No, i don't want 2 go 2 dairy queen" is usually a softer way 4 him 2 say he isn't interested then, "No, i don't like u."

Dear stargazer46,

If u hav ur period at school just make sure 2 change ur pad/tampon. During recess, lunch, or PE r usually good times. If ur period STARTS at school use toliet paper 4 a pad until u can get something 2 use from the nurse, a BFF, or ur secret backup stash.

Okay so this summer...i am going to all these great vacations, but i haven't gotten my period yet. I am 13 and still don't have it. The guys at my skool r really imature so i want to be able to use tampon so that i won't have to keep going to the bathroom. Soooo....?1-can i try using tampons now(even though i don't have my period. Just to see how it feels, so that im ready) and...

my name is sophie and im in the seventh grade. My twin sister is madison. Now i have a big problem! I just got my first boyfriend about two months ago before madison thank you very muchSmile anyway my boyfriend and i were at our school festival and madison was there too but she was with our friends. 1st of all RELAX!! I understand y u r worried tho. But, first periods r hard 2 predict so it might not arrive as a christmas present. BUT if it DOES yes u should totally go if it is ok with them! But, don't spend all $25 on supplies plz!! But a box of pads 2 start out with (fyi Always is a great brand an Infinity pads keep u from that icky diaper feeling), tampons r hard 2 use and r not recomomending for "first timers." Also docs say u should start out wit regualar or low absorbency for tamponsSmile But don't b afraid 2 ask any1 on ur trip 4 help!! An call ur mom wit da news if u get it!
