I would suggest going for a light blue or a green (light or standard green)! When I think of wintery colors and I think of light blue and white so I think that would look really cute and in in time with the season. And the green obviously people will notice for going with the Christmas spirit (:
Personally if I were you I wouldn't get red because the bright red can look like a bit much against your white teeth..my friend got red once. Of course that's all just my opinion and the great thing (basically the only great thing lol) about braces is getting to express yourself and get creative with the colors so it's all totally your call!! Good luck with whatever you choose!

Hey girl! Ok so braces can be a real pain (I had them for 2 1/2 years)! For me my teeth and mouth was in a lot of pain for the first 2-3 days after getting them on. The process of getting the braces put on wasn't painful at all...just like a few hours after the pain started to set in :-( And every time you get them tightened expect your teeth to hurt for about 2 or 3 days again (this is from memory...I think that was about the amount of time they hurt for). You can help yourself out by eating soft and cold foods after getting them tightened and if you're in a lot of pain that's preventing you from falling asleep at night or going to school or whatever take Motrin. It really helps much more then Tylenol or Advil. Just don't go overboard on the pain killers...just take one pill when you really need it.
As far as colors go I would recommend getting blue braces. Idk if your orthodontist offers multiple colors (mine did not) but personally I think one single color looks best. Also, alot of people think along the lines of what colors are least noticable...but I don't think you should try to hide your braces because honestly that is impossible! Instead, wear them proudly! I tried out a couple different colors in the beginning and I really found that blue worked best for me and looked the most natural (without drawing a whole lot of attention to my mouth). And since you have blue eyes I think that would look really cute!
Also make sure you are brushing AND flossing 2-3 times per day. It is a HUGE pain (especially if your someone that doesn't exactly enjoy brushing her teeth like I am ;)) but it will be so worth it in the long run. My cousin didn't brush her teeth well when she had braces and now she has permanent stains on her teeth :-( So really be aware of the danger in that happening and brush well.
Um I think that's about the general braces survival guide lol Good luck girl! I know braces aren't fun but they are SOOO totally worth all the pain and effort! My teeth used to be so crooked and awful and now I'm getting compliments all the time for my strait and beautiful smile So keep that in mind!!
