Hey Becca!
I can't really tell you if he likes you but from what you said it looks like he might! Before asking for his number, try getting to know him better like chat with him sometimes in the hall (find excuses like "did you hear the math homework" ) so it won't feel that awkward. Than just casually approach him, preferably when he's with other people you know and say "Hey guys, my phone broke down and all my numbers got deleted... Wanna add yours? ".
