so for Halloween, my BFF and i where going trick or treating together. She and i had been sick together at our church talent show. she was coughing alot and my throat was really swollen and i had a headache. so we sat in a room behind the big church oom where the talent show was boing held. there was a window we could see out of and a speaker in the room to let us hear. We both felt better today (Halloween) and so we planned going trick or treating together. i ws waiting for he rto come to my house and at the last minutes she texted me and told me that she was coughing and couldnt come. She tod me that her mom was gona buy her a buch of bags of candy and she told me about how she wasnt going to miss trick or treating with me because she was having a fun time at home. she made me miss trick or treating and she said she hadnt been feeling good for a hour or two. i wish she would have told me earlier so i could have gone with someone else. when i get on the bus with her tomarrow i knowshe will get mad at me if i try to talk to he about it. i dont know why she does it, but she just will. HELP ME!!!

MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD! So I have known this guy for about three years and we have been friends for about 2 and half of those years. About 2 years ago i started liking him as more than a friend. For a year i dont think he knew. Last year i wanted to ask him out to see if he liked me. so i did and he said no. later that day he texted me and said he would go out with me, and the reason he said no was because he was shocked. A few minutes later he wrote me a text telling me that he wasnt ready for a girlfriend yet and that he was really sorry. This year im 13 and i still like him. We dont have any classes together this year but we still text each other a bout once a week, and things arent awkward. I see him at school sometimes but not enough to start a conversation with him. We dont even have the same lunch period. How can i get him to talk to me more often? I still like him a lot

And every time i go through i pass by him and one night i passed him and he made the universal sign for call me(i'm always the last person in line and my friend in front of me didn't see him)and the next 2 times he waved to me and the time after that he made a sign that to me means i'm watching you(when you point your fingers at your eyes and then point them at someone else. But when i went through for the last time some people were behind me and he didn't do anything. I don't know if he thought i was someone else or something because he never actually talked to me before so i'm really confused I've never even seen him at school. PLEASE HELP ME i'm becoming sick with worry confusion and anxiety. Should i even make a big deal out of it?(by the way he doesn't know i like him so i'm still confused) please answer last time i posted this i didn't get an answer

Hey girl, he obviously likes you. He probably didn't do anything because all those people were behind you and he had already make it clear that he liked you. Who was he at the haunted house with? If he came with people from your school, ask them about him. You could get his friends to talk to him for you. Hope this helps!

I haven't talked to Miranda since she said "Leave me alone" so I'm giving her TONS of space, plus we're in none of the same classes so I don't see her during the day. She was perfectly fine with me liking Matt, saying she didn't mind at all. I can tell by the look on her face that she meant it. So I still don't know why she's ignoring me, I'm hated by lots of people because I'm different and "don't blend in" and stuff but she was a really good friend of mine, what do I do? :'(

MOD Ok like my friend, lets say her name is Miranda, won't talk to me for some reason. Like one time I texted her saying "hey" and she said "Leave me alone" And I'm just like "why? what's wrong Miranda? Are you ok?" and no answer, I don't know what I did to deserve the silent treatment. But I think I may have a clue why, because her EX BOYFRIEND is in my math DDT class (DTT is just some stupid thing teachers at my school made up, for me DDT is every Monday and Friday. Math DDT Monday, Language Arts DDT Friday) And I will admit it, I had the biggest crush on, well, lets say his name is Matt, ok?(Matt is her ex, just so it makes better sense) Ok, and on the first day of DDT when he walked into Mr. Jenner's math classroom and saw me, he had one of those "Holy Crap!!!!" looks on his face, he sat at a different group of desks then me, then he'd catch me staring, I'd blush and look away and he'd look away, then I catch him staring and vice versa, I think Miranda just misses Matt. She loved him so much I swear she would've married the boy if she was old enough, plus Matt is a player, a heartbreaker, he was cheating Miranda by dating her and another girl at the same time and Miranda found out and broke up with Matt and then their back together and this year Matt found another girl, he's changed, he's only dating the one girl, not two this time, but Miranda just refuses to talk to me, HELP!

Give her some space and time and then try to talk to her again--continuing to ask with only make the problem worse

I'm a sophomore and there's this guy I really like. We had a thing before and during summer but at the end of summer we were both super busy and didn't talk much. Now we are friends but still don't talk much and we act like nothing happened between us. My friend asked him what happened between us (like why it "ended") and he said that he didn't even know. The she asked if he still liked me and he said, "Yeah, I do. But I just don't know if it would ever go anywhere between us." I think he said this because we have kind of both liked eachother for a looonnggg time but stayed friends anyways (up until before summer). Should I just give up? And what does a 2-7 days mean when you are on your period?does it mean that you could be on your period for like two days then stop?

Okay, there's this guy I REALLY like. Pretend his name is Alex (it's not, but just so it's easier). He is in 9th grade, I'm in 8th. We hang out at the library a lot with our friends and we see each other often. We met when I was in 7th grade and he was in 8th and we've talked ever since. He used to send me smiles ( ) all the time like after each text but one day I mustered up the courage to ask him out (to his face!) and he said he'd rather be friends. I just said "ok" and went on. But I still really like him. Ever since I asked him out he really hasn't been the same. I've had a BF since then (I broke up with him after 3 days, oh don't even get me started on THAT boy! OMG can you say ANNOYING!!!) but I still really like "Alex". By him not being the same I mean like, he doesn't really text me anymore (well, apparently he doesn't text anybody) and he just really isn't the same around me. Like, he still acts the same but you can tell something's up. And I asked him out in like, May. It's October now. I don't know what to do. And NOW I find out that one of my friends like him! UGH! What can I do to either win him over or completely move on?

Thanks, I'll try that next time I babysit those kids, and by the way, what am I supposed to do about the little boy that wets his bed? As I've said before, he cries like crazy when I find the wet sheets, and he'd just keep crying, like I'd strip the wet sheets off the bed and put them in the laundry basket like the parents had asked me to if he wet his bed again, and by then he's STILL crying, like I wouldn't be able to calm him down until he's cleaned up, and when i go to get a change of clothes his face turns red because he knows i saw his underwear when i got the clean clothes for him, and his face turns even redder when I help him get un-dressed (considering he's 2 1/2 years old) And then he hides afterwards. He doesn't completely know how to dress himself yet (because he's the youngest and his parents still consider him the baby, he has two older brothers, the oldest is 17 and the middle child is 7 1/2) and everyone, except the 7 1/2 year old treat him like the baby, the middle child is just very jealous since HE used to be the baby, but the oldest brother is very nice to the little one, the only thing i don't like is that he's allowed to spank his younger siblings and sometimes when I'm babysitting he stops at their house real quick because he forgot something and if the middle child acts out he just puts whatever he forgot down and YANKS the poor kid's arm so he's standing right in front of him, then yells at his little brother, then he realized what he just did and just sighs, and crouches down to his little brother's level and scolds him then spanks him, I seriously have a HUGE problem with that because then he's in a bad mood as he leaves and if the 2 1/2 year old gives him any trouble the kid's over his brother's knee in 2 seconds! What do I do about that? jeez, and I thought the PARENTS were harsh!
By the way yes I did post this earlier but I'd read it over when you approved it and there were a few mistakes, sorry, i got him mixed up with a 3 year old I babysit, who also has two older brothers, except his are 16 and 14 years old, again sorry for the mix-up, but I'm desperate for an answer and my mom has no trouble with the oldest to discipline his younger siblings and she asked me to stop complaining or she'd spank ME! I think you need to talk to the older one whos disciplining the young one and tell him not to do that while youre babysitting. Tell him youre in charge and that hes not allowed to do that. Make it very clear to him. As for the younger one wetting the bed just clean him up asap and then distract him with a game. He will be easily distracted and then feel loads better. xoxo kerra

Alright, I guess I don't have a say in this, but at least a few of those parents of the children I babysit are civil enough to wait until I leave to discipline the kids, but then the next time I babysit their whining and saying they got spanked because of me and that its all my fault, but that honestly kinda makes me guilty because I start thinking that I should have just given them a time-out and kept my mouth shut, but then the little voice in my head convinces me that the parents must know what happened so that the kids don't walk all over me, but still it bothers me a little, and like then they like are screaming and crying and I'm not sure why, normally for the girls if you give them crayons and paper they'll quiet down but the boys just won't stop, then end up fighting and then I'd have to explain the little kid's bloody nose or red mark on their arm or something and then the kid gets spanked AGAIN and the same thing happens the next time, how do I prevent this????? I do NOT want them to fear me because they know I'd tell their parents then again I don't want them to fear their parents either, what the heck am i supposed to do now? I've called and spoke to the parents but they said they promise I don't have to discipline and to just let them know if something happens, but again, I don't want the children to fear anyone, and I've tried putting them in time-out but they always like test me, you know, like run out of the chair and when I go to put them back in time-out they scream and run off again, and I love those kids to death and I love to babysit, I'd hate to stop babysitting just because of discipline issues, HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey babe,

Why don't you try giving the kids a time out the next time you babysit them and something happens? Then, explain to the parents what happened and how you dealt with it. Hopefully, they won't punish their kids as harshly if they know they've already been punished.

Ok, so i told my parents (namely my mom) about the issue with the kids I'm babysitting getting spanked for just the smallest mistakes and she's fine with it, namely because when I was little (like 4 years old, till I was around 9) they (both my parents) spanked me and my sister as discipline, but never like those parents of the children I'm babysitting, the worst me or my sister ever got was a hard few smacks and sent to our bedrooms for the rest of the day (the only time we could leave our rooms were either for food/water or to use the bathroom) and then my mom said this: "*my name here(sorry, not gonna share my name)* Remember when YOU were their age and you got spanked? Well? And you turned out perfectly well, look at you, good grades, accelerated language arts student, what is the problem with those children's parents giving them a spanking?" So I told her everything and she still didn't budge, but when I told her about the not exactly potty-trained child having to stand in the corner of the room with his bare bottom showing she looked a little concerned then brushed it off and said there's not a problem with a "firm hand" every once in a while, jeez, now what am i supposed to do?!

Unfortunately this is a situation that you don't really have a say in. If something really disturbing happens to you again, tell your mom, and tell her why it bothered you. But as of now, there's nothing else you can do.

Hi Brittany. I could use some help right now... I like my friend Dustin. he's sweet funny caring and childish like me The prob is he said he likes me and my friend Mariah. Mariah is one of my best friends(not closest). I mean I dont mind him liking her she's awesome. She has a lot of guys that like her that I would be super lucky if they ever liked me...anyways, if im talking to dustin online he'll ask who im by and say tell her hi or he'll want me to just be like "Dustin said he loves you and misses you" or something. He never says anythign to me. He'll say hi or why don't you laugh anymore or something. I laugh alot just not around him cuz whenever i see him I start thinking alot and I get quiet(which is unsual for me) and depressed...Some of my friends keep telling me he's using me, im starting to believe it too. Ok so I'm babysitting this little boy and he's not exactly potty-trained yet and every time I go upstairs to wake him up from his nap I'd discover he'd wet his bed, then he'd back away from me, this at first confused me but turns out his parents punish him for wetting his bed, I honestly couldn't believe they spank him and then he has to stand in the corner of the room with his bare bottom showing, talk about crappy luck, why am I the only one who gets stuck babysitting the kids that get spanked?! Because I'm getting sick and tired of those parents physically punishing their children, it kills my heart to see those poor kids getting smacked for doing the slightest thing bad when their parents are not home

I totally agree, physical punishment rarely helps a child learn his lesson - he'll just end up scared, not confident, and constantly on edge. BUT with that said...... it's not your job to raise this kid. Some light spanking is a choice that some parents make as a strategy to raise their kids knowing right from wrong. There is a fine, blurry line between "teaching him a lesson" and "abusing him," but none of us are qualified to define that. Try to treat the boy well while you're babysitting him, then tell your parents about the spanking when you get home. Get their advice about what you should do, if anything, about it!

ok so this is kinda hard to explain... so i'm really sure that i have bipolar disorder. like, really really positive. only my mom knows but she thinks its no big deal. it really affects me sometimes but i handle it but it gets bad sometimes. i wanna tell someone but i dont know if i should. i dont want to go to a therapist though because i dont want to be on any medication.should i tell my teachers because sometimes it gets in the way of school. its pretty hard. i think ive had it for a year now. i thought it went away for a while but now its like "back". anyways, what should i do. i really need help on this one. thanks

If you are feeling this way - extreme highs and extreme lows - and you really want to do something about it, you might have to go to a therapist. They're doctors who are qualified to help you. That's not something to be afraid of or try to resist! If you find you really can't control your emotions and this is taking over your ability to do normal, everyday things, DEFINITELY talk to someone who will listen and help you sort it out <3

RELAX!! You don't know how your parents are going to handle this yet, so there's no reason to stress about it. If they do decide to sit down and have "the talk," just remind yourself that all your friends went through this too. Your parents probably don't want to talk about it just as much as you don't want to listen - they're feeling awkward too! So try to laugh about it, keep calm, and once it's over, put it behind you. It's their job to make sure you're informed, that's all

I need help with this really soon!!!! It is URGENT!!!So, I REALLY like these two guys at my school. One is totally hot and is ALWAYS flirting with me and a few other girls. Then there is this other guy who I think is hot and he flirts with me, yea, but he doesn't do anything else. Everyone says that he likes me, but why won't one of them make a move?! Hey girlie,

They might not know that you like them (and no one wants to get rejected!), they might be nervous, or they might just enjoy being single and don't wanna date because that means they won't be able to flirt as much anymore. Have either of them dated anyone before? They might also think they're too young or they don't know what to expect, which freaks them out. But just because they aren't making a move doesn't necessarily mean they don't like ya. Keep talking with them and letting them get to know you (while also flirting/complimenting/teasing them, so they get the hint that you like 'em too) - they'll become more comfy around you that way and, hopefully, might make a move

Thanks Brittany! That really helped, I asked Shawn why he acts out so much and turns out he just wanted his mom's attention (in a good way) and he though acting like that would get him that attention, even though it didn't get him the attention he wanted he still thought of it as her paying attention to him, so I talked to his mom about it and she said that she'd try to but she has a in-home day care and it gets tough to pay attention to him and try to make sure the other little ones are safe as well, she's been trying to pay attention to him but again with the day care stuff, she figured that if she and Shawn watched movies every Friday and Saturday night Shawn would get the attention he's been looking for, so now Shawn's happier and so's his mom, but he IS only four so he still gets in trouble, just not as often

Will my boobs ever grow? I got my period when I was ten, just like my mama. But thing is, I was only 75 pounds then and was a 30A. I'm 14 now and I am 5 foot 3 inches and I weigh 110 pounds, but I'm only a 32A and I'm still in stage two. I have a really tiny waist that's 20 inches and sort of big hips that are 30 inches, but I have a really small butt. I'm the only person on both sides of my family with my body figure, and every girl has really big boobs. My mama is a 34C, but I weigh the same as my mama and she's only one inch taller then me. I don't play any sports and my doctor says I have a fast matasilism. I love the way I look, but l my boobs ever grow? Please don't say ask my docotor or a family member, cause this is super embarrassing for me. Thanks.

Hey girly, I understand where you're coming from, but you can't do anything about the way a mother disciplines her child. Maybe you could try putting him in timeout or talking to him with about the way he acts.

MOD MOD MOD MOD!!!! Ok so I've liked this guy for about 3 years now...he used to like me back and we used to be great friends. Last year in 9th grade we grew totally out of touch since we had no classes together and he became super popular. This year we are in the same biology class.
The problem is I think he may have a gf but I'm not sure. All my friends say they are just friends and I have never seen them hold hands or anything but they still act like a little more then friends to me. Is there any way to find out for sure?? MODMODMOD!!! So about 4 or 5 years ago I liked this guy, lets say bob, and he liked me back. That was all very obvious. It was not awkward at all even though we both knew because we were young and best friends. Then, he moved to Hawaii for two years. He just moved back about a year ago and I haven't really talked to him nearly as much but I still see him at least once a week. He's nice and has gotten even cuter since he left, and I'd really like to keep talking to him and see if anything goes from there because I think I might still kind of like him. Use your past relationship as leeway Whenever you see him, ask him how he's doing, ask about his move/stay in Hawaii, etc. Use any of these to break the ice and take things from there
