MODMODMOD: there's this guy i really like and i think he liked me in 5th grade but i thought he was just some dork, but last year we really became good friends because we had every class together and he was always trying to make me laugh and paying a lot of attention to me,and I began to like HIM. i tried to keep in touch with him over the summer via fb, when i messaged him his replies were always rudely short. we only have one class together this year, and he's only tries to talk to me a couple times. i'll take any advice: HELP! What should I do?

If i catch his eye he looks back for a second and looks away, instead of nervously glancing away quickly. Then at back to school night last night i was selling water to raise money for band and as he walked by the 1st time with his mom he kinda mimicked me and walked by. The next time i saw him he was by himself standing with a cuple friends right across the hallway looking at me. Also he dances well so il look up and see him dancing and glancing at me. Does he like me??? Thanx for the help!

Hey chica, I'm sure you've heard this before, but it's really okay if you don't want to have a boyfriend right now.  Eventually you probably will, but for now just enjoy the friends and other fun things going on in your life!  If your friends tease you about it, just play it off confidently.  Say something like, "Hey, I'm fabulous by myself, I don't need anyone to make me happy!"  Or something like that... you may have a better idea! ;)  You could also consider telling your friends when you're in a more private sitch that it actually kind of bothers you when they tease you about it.  They're your buds so they probably don't mean to hurt you, and would be willing to change.  Good luck!

Hey Brittany!

I just met this guy on fb and I'm falling for him HARD. I've never fallen this hard for someone before, but he's just so easy to talk to, and no guy is easy to talk to for me.
When I dropped hints that I liked him, he went into this whole schpeal about his relationships:

Who i could like? Oh thats simple! You see, i have a philosophy that i could like anyone. Everyone has the potential. I just need to know them better.....see what their like and know if their interested as well. However, in some cases im interested anyway......even if their not Frown and vise versa..

Then he said he was completely okay with being friends with me. But I can't stop making a move forward to show him how I feel. It's making things just a bit awkward, but I can't stop! Please help!

im always eating, and its never the healthiest stuff. i mean breakfast is just cereal so thats not terrible and lunch would be a sandwich or something and then thers always a great healthy and colorful mean that my mom prepares for dinner. the part thats unhealthy is the snacks i eat in between. i no its not rite but wen im bored sad or mad at someone even if im not very hungry i eat. what gives!? i hav a knee injury and just had surgery so without being able to exercise also obviously doesnt help at all either. any tips to help me choose healthier but still delicious snacks and maybe not to eat quite as much of them?? thanx so much ur answers always help and mean a lot to me and every other girl Smile

Ok, so I think my bgf likes me but I'm not all that sure cuz what if he's just being my friend? So I was ay band camp last week and if I jammed my finger (i do flag line and weapon so i hurt my finger all the time) he would joke around and try to hit and he told how he loves to annoy me! Then I was at lunch one day and he came from no where and sat with me and my friends. Then one day I had a lot to carry so he took my bag that held my flags and carried them for me( i thought that was sweet) we would also stay up all night and text! theres more but its a lot to type so what do you think? Does he like me or not? Lets just say I don't really like-like him.

Hi! I want to be on Broadway when I grow up. I even take opera lessons from a local college and participate in professional shows in town. I've told my mom many times that I wanna be on Broadway and get my degree in Vocal Performance or Musical Theatre. She doesn't think it's a good idea because most people in the business don't make a lot of money, but I believe that your job has to be something you LOVE and it shouldn't be about the money. So, when I go to college, how am I supposed to tell her I'm making the better decision than her because I love it and know I always will? Or, better yet, how can I tell her right now?

MODMODMOD... Im not really sure what happens when a mod replies to a comment but I never figured out how to tell... I posted a question on one of the body forums... The one about lost periods. I had my period ONCE about a year and a half ago. I am 14 and I turn 15 next June. I am about 5'2" and 100 lbs. I don't consider myself underweight but its possible. I know my period will come eventually but is there a reason it might have left? I dont even remember having any symptoms. I start High School in August and I don't want to be the Late Bloomer. Any Help?

I feel like I asking a lot of questions, lol! But this summer, I really want a summer job! I am *hoping* to raise $300 by the beginning of August (bc that is when school starts) and so I have lots of ideas such as:
Babysitting, catsitting, help walk, wash, feed/etc dogs, vaccuming, lawmowing (have to learn first, lol), washing cars, cleaning cars, do any gardening/yardwork, I could make cards/scrapbook for people too because people LOVE my scrapbooking/card designs! My main type of people I want to hit are the elderly, bc I know that none of them want to do all that work on a daily basis! And plus I know my mom and my grandma, and relatives will give me money as well...
But really my question is: How can I get that much money in a SHORT amount of time, and how can I start a conversation about helping people, and how can I say I WANT to get paid! Whats a good dollar amount?!??! Any help will be great, thanks!!




Hey girlie,

The best way to get your point across (money and all) is to create a simple flyer ahead of time. Keep it clean and simple (no crazy photos or fonts, and not too much writing), but include all the crucial things: what you want to do as the job, how much you'll charge, your name, your phone #/email address, etc. That way, when you approach your neighbors and explain your business to them, you'll be able to give them something to look at/reference after you've left Smile There's really no way to start the convo without it being a little awkward, so just take a deep breath and jump right in. Ask them how they are today and be friendly, but get to the point: you're starting a "chore" business where you help local people with all of the jobs you've listed. You would love to pass on your contact info in case this person will be interested sometime! Then ask them if they have any questions and give them the flyer. Short and sweet! (As for money - ya gotta charge what seems appropriate to you. Try asking around - friends, classmates - to see what other people charge for similar jobs!)
