MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD!! okay, so there's this guy I like. We're both in 7th grade and both VERY shy. We don't have any classes together and I'm not trying to be mean, but he doesn't have many friends. He is SUPER athletic and runs really fast. We have P.E. the same period, just not the same teacher. I try to smile at him, but he doesn't seem to want to look me straight in the eye, though I've caught him a few times. We're going to different schools in 9th grade. I want too know him more, but I don't really know how to break the ice, and I'm kinda scared to. How can I talk to him without seeming nervous or making it awkward since we're both really shy? btw he doesn't have a facebook or online profile, but his brother does. Could you please give specific examples? Thanks sooo much!!!

ok, so im a very petite person. I barely fit into junior sizes. So, whenever i need to buy a top, it always comes in smalls or extra smalls, and fits mi perf....except for the fact that it is TOO long! All the tops i try on r like that! either that, or they r too big in the front....but, otherwise, it fits me perf most of da time, except dat itz too long, and tailoring is too much money, (i dont have $ too spare) and no one in my family knows how too sew, and idk how to sew either...i hate shopping in girls because i hate the style of it, im too old for the style, and now im in a desperate need of tops! help!

When I'm with my friends or a small group of people, I'm pretty outgoing but otherwise, I'm shy. Being quiet does make me feel better about myself (sometimes) but I don't make friends too easily and I'm really unconfident. I have a friend who's fairly popular, but since I'm not, most of teh grade is probably unaware we're frineds and I'd love to hang out w/ her more at school and get to know her friends. I'm going to camp this summer and I'm determined to be popular, because I never have before not even once. What should I do about all this? Thank you!

Hi! I'm in a good world-class choir and we recently had auditions. In my grade, there are only 2 kinds of ppl: those who are kind of preppy & popular, and those who aren't, cuz that's how many kinda popular ppl there are. Anyway, at least 5 but as many as 6 of them got into my choir! (I'm not sure if one girl who auditioned got in although she probably did, one girl may quit and one girl is my close friend and another is really nice--we're friendly but not like FRIENDS.) I know they're going to think they're all that and form a clique and then LCC (choir) will be just like school where there's cool/noncool ppl. Even tho choir is MY territo y I'm not the most confident person so how do I deal? Thx!

Hey, I really need your help. I turn 14 in 2 months and I still haven't started my period. Everyone else in my class has, and it sort of makes me feel like less of a woman, if you know what I mean. Could something be wrong with me?

My friends make fun of me for this. Also, I am extremely attracted to my also married teacher. I have kept it a secret until just recently I told one of my friends. She said it was pretty obvious I liked him. Now I'm worried who else realizes or if he realizes I like him! The feelings I have are inappropriate and I don't want to feel like this anymore. I've tried annoying him so he would be mad at me and I thought that maybe if he was mad at me I wouldn't be so attracted to him but now I only like him more! What do I do to stop these things happening to me? Please answer... no one else has and I keep asking! Frown

thanks for the great advice the only prob is that she knows i have OCD, she does to, it is genetic, almost everyone in my family does. The OCD doesn't cause destructive habits but it does keep me up- i can't get my mind to shut up!
PS: you mods are great when you don't just send us to a page!!!! thanks so much i'll try talking to her again! hope those black streaks and shopping bags under the eyes can go away

I live an hour and a half away from my school, i normally get up around 5:30 every morning, 6:00 at the absolute latest, normally i am in bed, lights off by 9:00 i have taken tryptophan, valerian, and some other natural remedies. I normally read a book before bed and take a bath for a little while. I guess my brain stopped liking natural remedies. the only time's i got to sleep was when i took ambien b/c my mom had a really bad divorce and i would go days w/o sleep, and when i took vicodon for my foot surgery. the prob with those is that in the morning i was either really loopy with the ambien or a migraine (throwing up and everything). Sum it up: I have tried pretty much everything, and still can't sleep and to top it off i wake up multiple times in the night! oh and i can't switch schools b/c the other schools SUCK i am an honors student at one of the best schools in the state!
I asked my mom to take me to the doc for a mild sleep aid and she told me to let my body take it's course, even though i have mild- moderate OCD and prob need meds to go to sleep i can't!
any suggestions???




I suggest you talk to her again and see if you can tell her you have OCD and need the help. If you explain how much youre struggling youll be fine. Good luck! xoxo kerra
