  1.   TAYLOR SWIFT WINS FOUR GRAMMY AWARDS!!!
  2.   Taylor Swift can now add Multiple Grammy Award Winner to her list of accolades, as she took home four awards from last night’s 52nd Annual Grammy Awards ceremony, including the night’s top honor, Album of The Year. Taylor, who turned 20 in December, is the youngest artist in history to win the music industry’s coveted top prize. She is also the first solo female country winner ever of the award, and the first solo female winner in more than a decade.
  3.   Taylor also won the Grammy for Best Country Album for “Fearless,” and took home trophies for Best Country Song and Best Country Vocal Performance for her hit “White Horse.”
  4.   Taylor, who accepted her Album of the Year Award from John Legend and Carlos Santana, called her big win a “beautiful, beautiful surprise,” saying from the stage, “Thank you so much! I just hope you know how much this means to me, and to Nathan [Chapman], my producer, and to all these musicians that you see on this stage, that we get to take this back to Nashville! This is for my dad: Thank you for all those times you said I could do whatever I wanted in life. And my mom: You’re my best friend…..All of us, when we’re 80 years old and we’re telling the same stories again and again to our grandkids… this is the story we’ll be telling.”
  5.   Earlier in the night, Taylor thanked her record label, Big Machine, for letting her write all of the songs on her records, and songwriter Liz Rose, her co-writer on “White Horse,” for “writing songs with me when she had absolutely no reason to do so.”
  6.   Taylor’s “Fearless” album has proved to be a favorite with fans, critics and industry voters, selling more than 5 million CDs, receiving massive critical acclaim, and sweeping the awards categories this season. In addition to winning Grammy awards for Album of the Year and Best Country Album, the project was lauded as Album of the Year by the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music, and was named Favorite Country Album at the American Music Awards.
  7.   Immediately following last night’s show, Taylor and her band left for LAX, headed to Australia and Japan, where she will perform several sold-out shows before returning to the States to launch her FEARLESS 2010 tour March 4th in Tampa.

  2.   “Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief,” today announced its lineup of superstar musical performances. The global telethon will feature performances by Wyclef Jean, Bruce Springsteen, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, Shakira, and Sting in New York City; Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Dave Matthews, John Legend, Justin Timberlake, Stevie Wonder, Taylor Swift and a group performance by Keith Urban, Kid Rock, and Sheryl Crow in Los Angeles; and Coldplay, and a group performance by Bono, The Edge, Jay-Z, and Rihanna in a newly added London location. All musical performances will be available for purchase for $.99 per song through the Apple® iTunes® Store beginning Saturday, January 23, with all proceeds benefiting Haiti relief funds managed by “Hope for Haiti Now” charities.
  3.   In addition to musical performances, Wyclef Jean in New York City, George Clooney in Los Angeles, and CNN’s Anderson Cooper reporting from Haiti, “Hope for Haiti Now” will feature more than one hundred of the biggest names in film, television, and music supporting the cause with testimonials and by answering phones during the telethon.
  4.   The Clinton Bush Haiti Fund and United Nations World Food Programme have joined the list of relief organizations that will benefit from “Hope for Haiti Now,” which also includes Oxfam America, Partners in Health, the Red Cross, UNICEF, and Yele Haiti Foundation. Proceeds from “Hope for Haiti Now” will be split evenly among each organization’s individual funds for Haiti earthquake relief.
  5.   “Hope for Haiti Now” will be the most widely distributed telethon in history, both internationally and across media platforms. The two-hour telethon will air on ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN, BET, The CW, HBO, MTV, VH1, and CMT on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT and 7:00 p.m. CT. “Hope for Haiti Now” will also air on newly added networks including PBS, TNT, Showtime, COMEDY CENTRAL, Bravo, E! Entertainment, National Geographic Channel, Oxygen, G4, CENTRIC, Current TV, Fuse, MLB Network, EPIX, Palladia, SoapNet, Style, Discovery Health, Planet Green, and Canadian networks including CBC Television, CTV, Global Television, and MuchMusic. ok so i spent pretty much all of saturday looking up taylor swift songs from her new album, speak now, and these are my favorites: better than revenge (i cant believe she sed the thing about the mattress), haunted (its not really her style; its like a rock song. but i won't patronize her for wanting to shake it up a bit and i DO luv the song), speak now, back to december (taylor lautner and taylor swift are the cutest couple; i hope he hears the song, realizes its about him, and gives tay another chance), mine, the story of us,long live, and enchanted (cutest song ever)
