Hey! I saw your comment about the dance and everything. If it's after a football game, then what I wore would depend on if your schools dance is casual or semiformal. If it's casual hen you could wear whatever you wore to the football game but just add heels or a sparkly tank with your jeans or cool accessories or something. But if it is a semiformal I would wear something fancier. Maybe a dress or a cool skirt and a cute top. Since I don't know how fancy the dances are though it is a little tough. Do you know? Otherwise if you can't find out plan outfits with some friends then you won't feel like you are over or under dressed. About your hair and makeup, I would curl before hand and then just bring a pick or a wide tooth comb to run through your curls before the dance then if you want you could leave it down or put it into a low, messy, updo. Do your makeup and fix your hair in the bathroom. If you need any more advice I will answer you really quick and I love helping! Post a comment on my profile!

CuteAndClassic- Glad I can help!! Now, let's break this down. First of all, you should probably talk to your trainer and discuss the benefits of having your own horse versus not having one, the price range for a horse, and why your trainer wants you to have a horse. From there, you can make your decision. If you decide to buy a horse, there are lots of things you can do to help pay. You can email or write letters to your family members telling them how much this would mean to you and ask them for a donation in place of a b-day or Christmas present. Get rid of some old clothes that you don't wear and sell the at a garage sale or a consignment shop (like Plato's Closet if you have one where you live). You can collect cans from friends and neighbors and get the refund price (maybe from your local grocerry store?) and lemonade stands/bake sales are tried-n-true ways to earn a little extra cash. If you babysit, you could offer to do extra chores for a little extra money!! Good luck and tell me how it goes! I'm always here for more ideas/advice! -Shelby

CuteAndClassic- This is a problem that comes up sometimes in my friend group. We're all very into school but sometimes things get out of control between homework, sports, music, and other stuff. When you have two major priorities (in this case school and riding) you will probably have to make some sacrifices. Hanging out with friends, watching tv and stuff like that will have to be minimized. School is important in general and riding is important to you. So it will be good to keep a fairly equal balance between the two. You shouldn't slack off with homework or studying just because of riding. Also you could talk to your teachers and see if they have any tips for you. If you have a long lunch, you can start homework after you eat to give you more riding time after school. I know that this sport requires a lot of dedication and time. If it's really important to you, you should keep pursuing it. Just don't lose sight of your academic goals. Talk to your parents about how much time should be allotted for schoolwork and ask your riding trainer/coach how much time you should be spending weekly on this activity. Then you can figure out how to spread out your time so that it fits in your schedule. If you need anything else about this topic or something else, feel free to ask! -Shelby

Heey, thank you SO much for the advice! I actually have this face cleanser now that still made my skin a bit dry but my mom gave me this new moisturiser and my skin looks great! And about the school stuff, no, you didn't sound insane, but I have no space in my room to sit on the floor. ( I have a tiny room) Any other ideas? But I will try the focus word thing Thank You! - Victoria

musiccandyforever on 1/18/2010 4:25:25 PM
Oooh I like the Cruella DeVil concept! It seems...powerful. Just no real fur for me!! Pearls worked well with my homecoming dress (black satiny strapless with white lace around the top). Classic black and white is my thing. Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's is my inspiration and I guess Cruella DeVil now too! I'll keep in mind that less is more. Generally I know my limits and don't go overboard. It's really nice to get this kind of advice! What grade are you in, btw?
shelbydiane on 1/17/2010 8:32:31 PM
Shelbydiane- Hmmmm.... I think you could be rocking a modern, love struck Cruella De Vil! I would opt for the pearls, but remember, its a dance. Too much bling can be a big bummer on the dance floor. I would suggest the ring, and pearls, and maybe something in your hair. But keep it limited. Remeber, less is always more!
CuteAndClassic on 1/17/2010 8:19:33 PM
Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely look for a ring like that. Should I just wear the ring for jewelry, or should I wear a necklace and/or earrings too? And if yes, should I opt for pearls or silver with the black and white?? Thank you so much! Ask if you need any advice too! =]
shelbydiane on 1/17/2010 7:33:04 PM
Shelbydiane- Valentines day is a great day to pump up the drama in your makeup. I personally opt for the red nails and lips, with a classic smokey eye! Really dramatize your lashes, and I would suggest a red lip stain to keep the lasting affect. Also I would see if you want to add a little "romance" to the outfit, try to get a ring with a rose on it. Big and red.
CuteAndClassic on 1/17/2010 6:55:40 PM
Oh thats fine! I personally suggest E.L.F. gloss. You can get it off of Target.com. Its super cheap, but super high quality. It never glops up, but really stays on your lips. Plus it last for a really long time!!!
CuteAndClassic on 1/17/2010 6:50:00 PM
Oh by the way will you post a response (I asked advice earlier) on your profile for now? Mine is being moderated and nobody can see it right now, thanx!!
shelbydiane on 1/17/2010 5:45:09 PM
Heyy CuteAndClassic, I'm 14 (a freshman) and I was wondering about makeup for my V-day dance. My dress is black and white and my shoes are black strappy heels. I'm sooo excited. So I was thinking about red nails and matching red lips but would that be too dramatic? I'm really not sure. Or should I do more natural lips and colorful eyes? Any advice?? Thanks =]
shelbydiane on 1/17/2010 4:49:35 PM
thanks for the advice! the mods didn't see my question, so I'm glad you helped. where is a good place to buy lip gloss (and that's not very expensive)?

I saw your post about getting a horse and I'm here to give some advice. It totally sucks that your parents don't want to get you a horse. But, there are some ways for you to show them that your ready to have one. You mentioned in your profile that you have a dog, Mitzy. She is the perfect opportunity to show your parents you are ready to get a horse. Feed her, brush her, walk her and play with her without being asked or told too. If you are asked cheerfully say "Sure, I'd love too!" This will show your parents that you are responsible enough to have one. Since they said they would let you get a horse when your sixteen, make a presentation about why you should get it earlier. (you'll only have 2 years with it before college, teach you to be more responsible, they'll get more of their moneys worth, ect.) Make a Power Point or poster board and show them your presentation after dinner one night when they aren't busy or have to go somewhere. Show it to both of them at the same time so they won't have to talk to the other parent when your not around to persuade them Good luck, I hope you get your horse! They are outstanding animals!! xoxo Kaylie Need any more advice? Just comment on my profile! I check it everyday.

(my mom says that if i don't dsance i can try somthing else like horse back riding somthing i've always wanted to do) i know that this is somthing that need to decide for myself but i don't know what to do so i'm looking for somone elses opinion. Hey Chicas! Summers over :-(, but school is here! This year, I'm doing a School Help line right here on my profile! Heres how it works: Anyone out there with a problem doing with school (grades, social, anything) can come here a post it as a comment. I will make routine check ups to my comments, and try to answer as many questions as I can. Occasionly we will have a ESS! Exclusive Secert Spill! They are totally random in timing, but always about school. So swing by often to make sure you haven't missed the latest ESS. Ooops! ESS Alert! We are having a ESS RIGHT NOW! ESS- Got two math assigments? Three chapters to read for english? A science AND a history test to study for? Plus there is that worth-50%-of-your-grade paper due next week? Don't forget the chorus concert tommorow night! Those high E's aren't gonna perfect themselves! School is totally hectic and crazy! And what could just top it off, is messy, ate-my-homework locker. So this year, i'm embrassing and suggesting A Stary Night. This year totally deck out your locker like its the middle of the night. Full of a midnight blue locker divider, a silver magnetic wire box, a pale blue mirror, and gold magnetic stars. To even top it all off, purchase some magnetic strips from the local craft store, and glue cotten balls to it to make little clouds that stick to the top of the locker. Not only will your locker be organized, but it will also be calming. When ever you open it, you gave a wave of relaxation, and cuteness. Other locker ideas will be posted at random over the next 2 weeks. I've got some fab ideas, enough so that everyone can be happy. Love, Classic P.S. Most locker stuff can be purchased at Staples.
CuteAndClassic on 8/21/2009 3:41:20 PM
Flavor: A minty gloss that tastes and smells just as scrumptious as the original cookies.
Fab Fact: This yummy collaboration was cooked up in 2011.
