It wouldn't be horrible if you said yes, but there are a few things to point out about sitches like this.

If this guy likes multiple girls, your relationship won't be rock solid. Since he likes many girls, he might be willing to break up with you for other girls. Which is pretty much a playa move.

Friendship ALWAYS comes before guys. If your friend likes him and your going out, she may become jealous. Things like this can ruin a friendship.

You heard from a few other sources that he might ask you out. How do you it's true? I'd trust your insticts rather than other people. (unless you really trust the people who are telling you)

So if I were you, I wouldn't go out with this guy. But it's your personal decision, so you can decide if all the pros out wiegh the cons. And if you do decide to go out with this guy, make sure your friends okay with it.
