I think that's really cute, first of all! I'm happy for you! Smile

If he doesn't/can't want to date, you should respect that, no matter how much you like him! If you truly do like him, you and him should both understand. I think you should still go to the dance with him (and see how it goes!) if he still doesn't want to date, then you should just stay friends... I know that this can be really hard!

and thats totaly normal! just go and ask him out
