Hey i saw your question about conversation topics and I thought I could help....(BTW congrats on making lots of new friends-that's the hard part!) So I've found one of the best ways to start a conversation is with a compliment...For example if someone is wearing a Lady Gaga bracelet you could say something like "hey that's a cool bracelet" and you guys could talk about Lady Gaga. People like to talk about what they're interested in, so look for clues as to what they like (that you do, too!) You could also talk about what's going on in school or in general- like if you have the same classes you could say "wow, that test was so long!" or "that teacher is crazy...can you believe how much homework she gave us!?!" and you get the idea. Hey girl!
Saying hi gives people the impression that your friendly and approachable. Maybe a " hi how are you?". Or talk about one of your classes or at lunch invite someone to sit with you and most likely it'll start a conversation. The best way to make a new friend is to look confident and smile and maybe they'll approach you.
