Hey girlie,

Maybe you could talk to your friend about it first so she doesn't feel like you went behind her back. You could tell her that you like him and want to tell him and see how she feels--if you're good friends, she will probably want you to be happy! You could also offer to introduce her to one of your guy friends at school or promise to still spend time with her one-on-one no matter what happens so she will still feel like you're on her side, too.

So, last summer this boy just talked to me. So it was a summer event going on in my neighborhood so we just talked and bonded and then he started coming to my house and ringing the bell a lot asking me to come outside. I would talk to him, but all of a sudden a few weeks later he was not talking to me or saying hello or being polite just ignoring any type of contact with me. So I asked him was i being mean to you as a friend? if so im sorry. He just was like i sometimes dont say hi, which is a bold face lie. Okay so next year (this current 2013 year) in spring i ran into him while talking a walk with my uncle, and my uncle gave him a handshake, and i reached out my hand to give the boy a handshake and he opened up his arms and hugged me! I think it was a form of sorry.. Does he like me?

I'm not sure if he likes you or just wants to be friends--he might have just wanted to hug you because you hadn't seen each other in a while, which was exciting for him. If you want to get to know him again, maybe you could spend time with him as friends and see how he acts around you then to get a better sense of whether or not he likes you.

the boy i like and i are close friends. he knows i like him. i told him on wednesday because i was tired of pretending it didnt upset me that i hardly ever see him in person and he had a gf (he and i have recess together every day except friday but hes almost always with his guy friends,and we were texting cuz he went over his call limit)he doesnt know i was upset about the gf though. hes so sweet and supportive. then the day after i told him i liked him he broke up with his girlfriend. he told me he broke up with her because she lied to his friend. hes constantly hugging me and telling me good night

. i wanna ask him out on monday. here are my questions 1)do you think its too soon since he just broke up with a girl and he just found out i like him? 2)what are some good ways to get him to talk to me alone? 3)im really shy and so is he. what are some ways to calm my nerves and ask him out?

hey! I would say wait a week. it's enough time to let things settle but not so long that someone else asks him out. 2) just wait til you see him alone then approach him. If he's always with people, just ask if you can talk with him a sec sometime. 3) to calm your nerves just breath deeply and think about what you want to say and visualize it going well, thinking about it that way will make him easier to talk to

I need serious help.I am in the school band and i play guitair and theres this guy. Well that guy flirts with me alot and he has a girlfriend. The issue is i like him alot and he's like 14 and i am 12 bout to be 13. Idk if i shold like him cause we went around on this feild trip and i was alone and he sat next to me and our eyes met and we almost kissed. I turned around as fast as i could but, know i have serious feelings for him. now that i know he has a girlfriend i feel like i was played but he still likes me and i dont want him to hurt that girl cause of me. hey! since he does have a gf you just have to say no. You can't help it if he flirts with you but you have to just not flirt back. It's tough to have feelings for a guy who's taken, but think how you would feel if you were in her place. Accept your crush but don't act on it, if it's meant to be they'll break up.

Hey kenzil43, just be sure you make it clear how tan you want to get when you go to get your spray tan. If here are levels to go by, pick the lowest one. Do some research before heading to the tanning salon. Hope this helps!! Xoxo

I love Girls Life...I read the mag and I just recently joined this site. My problem-I gave my 'rents email a few times but nothing has popped up in their in-box (and its been a couple of days). I also can't get my profile visible or edit my profile. Every time I want to comment on an article it says "Verify your email", I do, and it says "check for an email in your in box". Nothing is there though.

Ok, so, when I grow up, I wanna be on Broadway. I take opera lessons, I'm in local performances with professionsals a lot, even though I'm just a kid. I tell my mom I want to major in vocal performance and then be on Broadway, but she always tells me almost no one gets paid a lot or gets famous, but I believe that you should have a job that you absolutely LOVE, and it shouldn't be about the money. She's totally against me doing that. What should I do when I go to college and pursue that dream? What should I tell her? I want to make her happy...
