Hey, girl! Start off just waving to him if you see him outside and saying hi. Once you feel more comfortable around him, try having conversations with him. Ask him about school, what he's been doing over the summer, any sports he plays, or anything else you feel comfortable with. Be sure to talk about your life, too. Don't act shy, and give him some signals that you like him. Look him in the eye, call him by name, etc. Once you're ready, ask him for his e-mail address or phone number. Hopefully, he'll show you that he likes you back, and maybe even ask you out. If he doesn't, you could ask him out. It's worth a shot. And even if he says no, it's OK. You go to different schools, and you're both bound to meet other people. Good luck!
