hello i was just wonddering if you could answer my question. i am 13 and still havent gotten my period. i just had a physical for school sports next year and my doc said i will most likely "start" soon. i have had pubic and under arm hair for a long time and have been getting discharge for about a year. when she says that does she mean a week a month or whtat? i am scared to start. help

the thing is that iv been getting dischage for all long time ,my mum just yells at me coz she thinks i dont wash properly "don there" and my she had to bleach my under wear! it not fair!!!!!!!1 no matter what i say she says no.anyway,iv got under arm hair,public hair ,discharch,bad cramps so do u think period is about to land ?
i have anouther question:iv been getting thses small spots on my forhead that r swelling up,i have a frindge and it vry hot so do u think its bcoz of that?? tnx!

I am in taekwondoand our uniform is white and one day I got by period inmy uniform on our way home so luckly no one saw. Anyways I dont want it to happen again I dont wear tampons and I double up pads in my underware when I do have it. But my period isnt normal sometimes its early sometimes its late and it last about a week so...... But thats not my question my question is is that when I dont have my period is that how can I be safe when I,m at class since I dont know when i'm going to get it? I need help!

Some signs to look out for before your first period can be any of the following:

-Developing breasts
-Hair (crotch, armpit, leg)
-Discharge (white, clear or yellow substance found in underwear, if you have it for at least a year or more)
-Sore lower back, sore lower stomach
-Breast tenderness
-Cravings
-Spotting (tiny spots of blood in underwear TINY)

I think thats about it, if you have any pains in lower stomach or back, get a heating pad (bags of rice that you microwave to make warm) then place it in one of those areas. Or take a hot bath. If you think its on its way, take all days before in witch it happends to just relax, it will help if your area around you (house and room) is clean.

Be prepared! Get Pads, pantiliners, and tampons! Dont forget to do reacherch!

pianoyeah, okay.
I can help with all "girl issues".
Some people shave their "down there" if they are not comfortable wit it. But if you dont want to (most people dont) then thats perfectly fine too. If you dont, its just easier, because doing it can be stress full.
Also relating to "down there", sometimes there can be hair on your bikini line (where the crotch of ur bathing suit reaches your skin) And if you do lots of swimming or sports, its best to get that waxed.

Dont be embarrassed. For this you need to talk to your mom! If this happend last year, and has not happend since then you need some help! Okay, it may of just been a faluse alarm, but you may need to check with your doctor.

To bring this up with your mom, when the two of you are home, say....

"Mom!?" Okay, so last year....."
..."I was sleeping, then i got up to go to the bathroom..."
"...And then i saw that...."
"There was..."
"....blood but it hasnt happend since, so i dont know what to to or if it was is!"
(SAY THE LAST LINE FAST)

Where the ..... are pause then say the next line, it will make it less embarrassing for you.

Then you too can talk and it will feel okay.

Ummm....this is really akward...anyway i don't know if this will show up...but this 1 day last year i can't remember when exactly and this one night i got up from my bed and went to the bathroom and like ummm down below hurt and when i looked in the toilet there was blood...but it hasn't bleed since then....so idk if i had my period or not...the weird thing i was only 10 at the time(im 11 now). This is kinda gross but idk wat to do cuz its really embarrising to talk to my mom about this stuff.
