In A Nutshell...
  1.   I will choose my favorite five, and everyone will vote for their fave.
  2.   Here's the best part:
  3.   For each person who joins, I will give 50 cents to a nearby animal shelter.
  4.   Think of all the money we could raise if enough girls joined.
  5.   You can help too by making posters or talking to your principle about starting it in your own school.
  6.   All donations are greatly appreciated!
  7.   My icon is my own dog before we adopted him.
  8.   His name is Charlie, and the shelter found him on the side of the road, bleeding.
  9.   He was abused by two teenagers, who kicked and beat him.
My Faves…
  1.   He was so scared he ran in the middle of a busy road, and got run over.
  2.   The people who ran him over weren't much better, they stopped to pick him up and put him on the side of the road to die.
  3.   He was immediately taken in by the shelter, and he is bette now.
  4.   He is a dwarf retriever (not yet registered) and he finally found a loving home: us.
  5.   Imagine if that was you, being bullied, and nobody even cared enough to help you.
  6.   They figure, "Someone will find you eventually, and it's not gonna be me."
Style Sense
  1.   But what if everyone thought that? Charlie wouldn't be alive, and neither would a lot of other animals. That's what Project Animal is all about: helping the lives of animals.
  2.   You will be amazed by how many animals are abused right now, and we need to help them. Time is running out.

Hello! I would like to join you in project animal- i have 4 dogs and 4 cats, and my puppy and 2 kitties are all rescues! I know that's only 3 out of 8, but our family is rescue-only for the future. I really would like to join! Ihave 4 cats,1 dog,3 hermit crabs,fish,a lizard,and 1 guinea pig! Yes it's alot!! I love animals!!!!

Thats so sad I'm so joining!! I love animals if I saw that I would start crying! That's so cruel! Good thing your family came along!! My family also saved animals like my mom went to a garage sale with two pekanese puppies and my mom picked one up and it looked like it was dying so she put it down because it just looked dead because that stupid mean lady selling them kept them in her garage and didn't care. My mom got the other one who was infested with fleas and we took him to the vet right away and now today he's okay! My dog Buster who we treat right unlike that cruel lady! My grandma also got caught in aa simiulair situation and now she has a healthy little puppy named Maggie. This Project sounds like a great idea!!

I REALLY want to join! Ok here's my pet's story: I have a mutt named Buddy. He was living on the streets and he was abused a LOT by men (which resulted in him liking girls more) and they threw stuff at him, kicked him, and messed with him. Now he won't even play fetch or anything beacuse he is afraid of things that can hurt him. The animal shelter found him on the streets, alone, starving, and terrified. They took him to the shelter and he was about to be adopted. A family was adopting him for their grandfather. When the granpa saw Buddy (his name was Mel at the time) he immediatly said NO and Buddy was not adopted. He spent a lonely while at the pound and he was very timid and eventually got the kennel cough. The day my mom showed a picture of a scared Buddy: I quickly fell in love. When we went to go pick him up, the nurse told my mom that it was actually Buddy's last day at the shelter. He was going to be put to sleep the very next day after we adopted because he was sick and no one wanted the poor thing. We saved his life and now he's happy and loved and I wouldn't trade him for anything or any dog in the world; I'm so glad God sent me Buddy; because to me, he is truly a blessing to be cherished and treated lovingly like everyday is the last. <3

Can I join?

i have four dogs, Princess,Beckers, Keith (lol) and Antarctica. All ofthem were rescued from abusive owners. Princess, Beckers, and Keith were in a nearby shelter, practically underfed, and Antarctica was hidden under our neighbors' porch. We decided to adopt Antarctica.

We also have a cat. Same story as Antarctica.

May I join?

I have 4 cats and 1 dog. All were adopted.
The dog is a Pomeranian named Murray who got a displaced kneecap that his previous owners didn't have the money to get treated. He is now healthy and happy and enjoys sniffing the cats' behinds.

Gizmo is a white cat who is a year older then me. His former owners gave him up. Sometimes he acts more like a dog then a cat, he's so friendly!

Dobby is a black cat who I think is about 7 in human years. He was a stray before he got picked up by the shelter. He's pretty grumpy with the other pets, but sweet to people.

Then there are the twins. Newton (after Isaac Newton) and Bastet (after an Egyptian goddess who looked like a cat) are twins, both adopted as kittens. Newton definitely didn't get the fair share of brains in the litter, but is really a sweetheart. Bastet is oh-so-cute and my little baby. They're both around 3 or 4 years old now.

Your story about your dog is really sad but i am not going to reflect on the bad stuff but the good part. The part where your dog was saved and now has a loving home!
i love helping animals and i love their reaction back. animals have always been my best friend when i had nobody to talk to and i will always love them!

My cat we saved from a campground where her sister was dead next to her. The guy there just told me and my 5 year old sister that they poisn them i was discusted! we took her home and now she's 3 and extremely spoiled

OMG! This sounds so cool! I want to join but how can I? Do I just say I wanna join? I really liked hearing about Charlie and the Animal club and everything, but since you have two profiles, maybe you could use one for answering the questions about yourself like a normal profile. You could still use the other one for this, though. Ya know, I'm not sure if you even joined Girls Life for Girls Life. You could have just joined to tell people about this!!!

Do you know what absolutely disgusts me???? BACKYARD BREEDERS AND PUPPY MILLS!!!!! I don't see how it is humanly possible for people to continually get their dogs pregnant and sell or give the litter away thinking they are doing a good deed!!!!!! How much fun do you think that is for the animal???? People are getting rich off their own pet's pain and misery. Why can't they just spay/neuter them!!!!!! Noooo,they have to keep on "accidentally" getting the pets bred!!!! Its not like the dog breed is going extinct!!!! Did you know for every litter of puppies born,20 dogs die????!!!! I wish those horrible people could be forced to do what they make their animals do!!!!!! That would show them!!!!

i sometimes watch those animal cruelty SPCA shows and i stopped cuz if an animal dies because of what somebody did to it i start to cry. like bawl.
you know those other spca commercials they play too??
i actually cry at those no joke!!

awww!!! I absolutely love animals! I have adopted a stray dog that was dropped off at a vets office. No one wanted her, so we took her. I have also taken in two cats that were strays. They are both loving (when they want to be) and one of them is like a dog: loyal and always wants to be with you. I have also rescued a little baby bunny that was attacked by a cat (unfortunatley, it was my cat). I encourage everyone to help any animals as possible. It is very rewarding and a little something you can do!!

i wanna join! i hate animal abusers! ok, heres a kinda story. near my house, there is a big streach of road with nothing around it. my mom drives on it everydat to work. we have found at least 5 dogs. most of them were left there to die! we kept one, and found homes for the others. but it makes me so mad! if people cant care for an animal properly, they shouldnt have any!

hey there i would like to join and i have a story for you. in the beggining of fourth grade (im in 7th now) i was afraid of dogs and i had been before that. one day when i got home from school i saw a big white dog (she was a Marrema sheepdog aka a big dog) sitting on our door step and i ran inside not screaming but i ran as fast as i could. my mom wasnt home but i decided to try to get over my fear so i went outside and stood there (wasnt very smart never approach an unfamiliar dog unless its unconscious or something) and the dog came over to me and sniffed me down there i flipped out and started to run back inside but something i dont know what made me stop. so i turned around and let her sniff me a bit then i slowly reached out an arm and started to pet her. after that i decided to give her a nick name so i called her tessie (my family had a dog when i was like 2 or 3 named tasha and at first im like OMG TASHAS GHOST!!LOL) so then i took her in the little pen i have in my back yard and putting her in there so she wouldnt get hit by a car or something. it was a bit hard to coax her since she didnt have a collar i wasnt going to try and force her like choking her if she had a collar so after that i went in and called my mom she came home and we put an ad online and in the paper no one responded after a few weeks so then we bought her a collar and she was my dog. did i mention i live out in the country and the she was VERY well groomed my mom and i think someone kicked her out of there car. i found her in september, in may my mom took her to the vet and found out she had limes disease. but thats not what took her away. her old owners never had her spayed so (watever the thing is called) got in fected the vet performed surgery on her and she was fine a few hours after that she stopped breathing and dies it took me until next december to be sble to think about her and not cry i loved her very much and since then ive volunteered in animal shelters adopted a dog and saved the lives of a cat and her 3 kittens. i wouldnt have saved there lives if it wasnt for my dog, tessie. i love and miss you tessie.

Hey that is great that your gonna donate to the animal shelter and I'd love to join. I'm the president of CLUB GLU and I can put something on my club for advertising this or something, if you'd like me too. I've adopted both of my animals from the spca. But I'm just gonna ask that you donate to a no-kill shelter becuz I don't believe animals she be put down unless they are in pain or are aggressive. But thanks for doing this, I think that is very great.

that is so sad! i love animals i want to be a vet when i am older and am waiting for when i am old enough to work at a shelter! i used to have 2 dogs and got one of my 2 cats from a shelter and the other cat i saved by giving the stray cat a home. it took a long time to get the stray cat to trust me but when it did i was his friend and same to me.
