***Contest entry*** Sorry it's so long!

I giggled as I slid down on my waxy skis to the powdery cream colored snow. My brother Alex playfully shoved me on my lower spine. I laughed again and headed to the top of the Black Diamond ski slope. The wind spat snowflakes onto my slender face and I pushed myself forward with my electric-blue poles. Air rippled my shiny coffee colored hair as I plummeted toward the bottom of the long mountain, where hot cocoa bubbled on the smooth wooden tables inside the lodge-- my destination. I finished the ski and snapped off my boots, entering the lodge. Suddenly, a face came into view. A teenage boy whose surfer style wind-swept light brown hair had been pushed across his clear blue-green eyes. It was the most popular and gorgeous guy from my school, Derek. He bought a pizza and sat down at a table across from me. His eyes scanned the room and landed on me. He lit up and waved. Derek peeled off his layers until all he had was a shirt on top of his chiseled abs. "I have something to show you," he whispered when he got to my table. When we got into a secluded hallway, he grabbed my hand and placed a book in it. The book was the book he had been telling me about all year. "I thought you'd be here, so I brought it," he confessed with an embarrassed grin. "It looks great," I said truthfully. He gently pulled me to a brown clay bench. He sat me down on one side of the bench, and lowered his tall, tan body onto the other side. He started a conversation with a smile and we talked to each other for 15 minutes until I was nearly crying with laughter. Derek had a great sense of humor. "When you laugh you look especially..." He trailed off but his light pink lips slightly parted and he leaned slowly toward me. He finished his sentence by murmuring "Beautiful." I could feel his warm breath on my lip. His lips were hesitant as they met mine. It felt like I had filled my mouth with sweet syrup. He pressed his moist lips to my glossed pair and put his hands around my waist. Our faces matched perfectly. When we finished kissing he looked into my green eyes and said softly, "You are so amazing." He held my hand and leaned in once more. As our lips met, I knew I was in for a great year.

Here was my contest entry
I posted it like i said i would


We were sitting down in class during our Language Arts lesson. Nothing was different, same old same old. At least I thought. About 20 minutes into the lesson my pencil fell off my desk onto the ground. As clueless as I am that was the ONLY pencil I brought. AND we were just about to start our quiz and we HAVE to have a pencil with us. GRR!! So I searched with my eyes where it fell. With all my luck it landed under a desk. Not just any desk. But the cutest boy in school which happened to be my crush since 2nd grade. But... he would never like me. I know he noticed it, the pencil. It hit his ankle rolling over. I knew that I had to get my pencil back, and soon. The test was just about to start and I NEEDED that pencil! So I did what all geniuses do. Get on all fours! I was wearing this cute new skirt too. So of course, Ryan, the class perv could see my underwear. They're pink with little buterflies on them. Oh well, I wasn't focusing on what was important. To get that pencil! Yes! I was almost there just about a foot away. I wasn't paying attention to ANYTHING else going on in the room. Especially the teacher yelling "MADISON! ALL STUDENTS MUST STAY IN THEIR SEATS! THE TEST IS JUST ABOUT TO START!" Maybe I should of listened to that one but how could I take the test if I don't have that, THAT STUPID PENCIL! Okay now I just need to reach over and grab it. The thing I didn't notice (until right now) was that a hand slowly emerged out from above. And it was gonna grab the pencil before me. What if they steal my pencil. AHH!!! Hurry up stupid legs! Crawl faster! Get there! Get there! Now I'm starting to sound like I'm at a sporting event. Right as I reached my hand out there another hand was on the pencil. I touched the hand it was warm, soft smooth. ahh so nice. WAIT! Who's hand is that!!! OMG!!!! It's Alex's(the cutest boy in school)!!! Oh boy. But something strange happened he looked up, and smiled. I saw his beautiful pearly whites. Drop dead gorgeous! Then he said "Um.. I think this is your pencil. And I know this is REALLY off subject but do you think you'd want to be partners for our project. Then as smart as I am I responded 'I'D LOVE TO!!! But what project?"
"Um, the one she told us about while your eyes were glued to my face." He said matter of factly.
"Oh, that one...... about that." I said idiotly(if that's even a word).
"It's fine when you weren't looking MY eyes were glued to YOUR face." He spoke as if there was nothing to it. When he said that the class stopped. It was silent, even the teacher stopped. Then I realized that the whole class could see my underwear, I was on all fours, and I was still holding Alex's hand. Even after all of that, that was the best day of my entire life. He asked me out. Now we're "the class couple". And I couldn't be happier!

A 10 year old girl who's adopted and everybody makes fun of her. A grandpa who's back is broke and I don't know if it'll ever be healed again. A 10 year old boy who's suffering from depression and has ADHD. A dad who needs some help. A mom tired,restless,depressed,sad,and confused.
An 11 year old sister who just doesn't know what to do anymore she's shy,depressed and needs a caring friend. I hope you like my story and please everyone pray for my grandpa. He's 59 and has a broke back from when he fell off a ladder and got surgery and has screws in his back and he smokes and I want him to quit and he does to. Please just pray.It'll be greatly appreciatted.

**CONTEST**


FIRST INCOUNTER
Crap, I’m going to be late, I thought as I ran down the hall to biology. I rounded the corner going at full speed and I rammed into something and dropped my books. I immediately dropped to the floor and started to pick them up. “Hey watch it!” a boy’s voice said. I looked up from my crouch on the floor and it was Justin my long time crush. This will finally be the time to talk to him! My mind screamed. I started to open my mouth and then he said “Look I’d help you pick up your books but I’m really late for class. So I’ll see you around” then with that he ran in the direction I came from. Well that went well, I thought bitterly. I finished picking up my books and ran into biology.

1 day later …

SECOND INCOUNTER
I just sat down at my table when I heard someone across the cafeteria scream “HEY!” someone scream. I looked around and saw Justin standing on the opposite side near the doors looking at me. He waved his hand for me to come over to him. I got up and walked calmly over to him while my heart was beating wildly. “Hi” he said “Sorry for being such a jerk and running off yesterday. Oh and you didn’t tell me your name”. “My name is…” I was at a blank I couldn’t think. I finally gasped out “Emily” “Cool I’m Justin. I really want to make it up to you for running off so can I have your number.” He said. “Do you have a pen and a piece of paper” I asked with a smile. “Sure” he patted his pockets and came up with a pen and a gum wrapper. “Thanks” he said as I handed the wrapper to him. “I saw that you were carrying an AP biology book yesterday. I suck at Biology so I was wondering if you could tutor me” he asked turning pink with embarrassment. “I… sure I can just text me when your free to be tutored. “Thank you sooo much you’re a life saver” he said then put his hands in his pockets, turned, and walked away.

3 days later…

I was out at the mall after school on Friday with Tasha and Kimberly my two best friends when my cell phone beeped in my pocket I took it out and saw a number I didn’t recognize I opened the text and it said:

Hey this is Justin from school I was wondering if we could meet tomorrow at the park to meet about biology

I clicked the reply button and typed:

Sure, what time and what park

A few seconds later he replied:

Brookfield Park 2:00

I said
Sounds good

He said

It’s a date J

I blinked and looked at the screen again what does that mean? I shoved my phone back into my pocket and caught up with Tasha and Kimberly and continued to wonder what that brief conversation really meant.

THIRD ENCOUNTER

I sat at a picnic table and waited for Justin to come. I was going over a section of his biology book when he strolled over to the table I looked at my watch he was exactly on time. “Hi” said looking up at him “Let’s get to work” We worked on biology and he was really lost so I suggested we stop so he could have a break. “Tell me about yourself” he said. “Well I was born in the backseat of a car on the way to the hospital, and that was the most exciting thing in my life. How about you? I asked and he told me all about his dad walking out on him when he was a baby and how he is now. Then I looked at him and he looked at me. Then he leaned forward and said I’ll see you around. Then he walked away. I packed up my stuff and prepared for the long walk home I walked through the entrance and a figure jumped out at me I screamed and dropped all my books I started to bend down to get them but Justin already was picking them up. When he got them all together he hand them to me with a sweet smile on his face. “Sorry I wanted to make it up to you without running into you again” He said then leaned in and kissed me.
