Hey I saw your question on someone's profile and i really wanted to answer because something like this has happened to me pretty recently. A boy asked me to homecoming as friends but when I asked my friends to ask him if he liked me, he told them he did. But after homecoming (i did end up going with him) he starting dating some other girl. To say the least, I was surprised (but I might have come off as uninterested so that might have been a problem anyway). Anyway moral of the story, don't get your hopes too high, and show interest in him, don't be too discreet. I would be a bit bold with it, but don't overdo it if he doesn't like you I hope this helped.

This is a tough sitch. Ask yourself these questions:
- Does he talk to you about personal things like his goals in life, his dreams etc?
- Does he try to talk to you whenever your both free?
- does he come to you when he's down?
- Is he always complimenting you about something?
- have you ever seen him glancing at you?
If you answered yes to most of these questions he probably likes you if you answered no to most of them, try flirting with him a little. Compliment him on things he does well me try to talk about things he's in to as well not just nail polish and shopping and that kinda stuff. Find something you two have in common. Also maybe his friends were just trying to mess with you by telling you he was gonna ask you to homecoming. Either way, you should totes ask him out. You never really know what he'll say. If you're nervous try asking him to go with you and some friends to see a movie or something ;)

If he's flirting with you and making you gifts..that sounds like he's interested to me! It's a little sketchy that he doesn't ever text you back though. I would ask him about next time you see him! Maybe he got a new number or something like that!

I think you should just feel it out, if he keeps flirting with you then make a move! Get a bunch of friends together and invite him to go with! Go to a movie or out for pizza, just something casual!
