Hey Everyone! I just wanted to say that if you look at my healthy profile journal you probaly saw not alot of activities. Just want to tell you that I am fulling in when I can and I am doing way more activities than that. For the summer I am doing over 24 hours of dance(not in a day, its spread out), tennis, walking my dog, and hanging with my friends and family. I really want to hear from you guys! I hope everyone has a great summer!

hey, i would be happy to help you! It was kinda scary the first time I tried tampons, too. You just have to be totally relaxed and don't tense up. When I did it for my first time I used a hand mirror, sat on the ground on my knees, and did it that way. You have to make sure though that you don't buy too big of a sized tampon or it won't fit and you will be able to feel it. When you have inserted a tampon correctly you shouldn't feel a thing. I use the O.B. brand,the regular, and they work perfectly for me. I can't feel them at all and it works great when you go in the shower so you don't have to take off your old pad and put on a new one. I haven't used them all that often because when I take it out sometimes it hurts a little bit because the tampon is a little dry and it hasn't had much time to soak up. When you first start you should read the instructions that come in the box and they usually have pictures on them to help you. And no they don't hurt putting them in, unless you really think they are going to hurt, then yes they will. The tampon shouldn't go up the wrong place. If you use a mirror and you put it right under you, you will see a reddish, pinkish hole (you can't miss it). That is where you insert the tampon and you should be able to get it up in there as to where you can't see it at all when you look in the mirror again. I usually try to push the tampon in as far as it will go, even if it means sticking my finger up there a ways. Pretty much the only day I don't use a tampon is the second day I have my period because it is also my heaviest day and I tried wearing a tampon that day and it leaked through into my underwear. Umm, I think that's everything. Remember: practice makes perfect so don't expect to get it on your first try, RELAX, and good luck! hope this helps!
