First off, don't be nervous about starting higschool! There is nothing very scary about it. The rumors that freshmen get tortured by upperclassman is not true, the most you probably have to worry about is homework ( if you don't procrastinate, and talk to teachers you should be fine) and knowing your way around. During your schools open house, make sure that you get a feel for where all of your classes are. On the first day you still might confused, so just ask a teacher, or student to help you find your class so make sure you have your schedule with you. When I started highschool, I had no friends to go through it with, but you most likely do. So take advantage of that fact, and compare classes, so maybe you will have a friend to help you around. Also, try to be outgoing, so that if none of your friends are in your classes, you still have someone to talk too. Just remember, high school is actually fun, when you have the right attitude! Be confident, secure, and yourself, and you will be fine.

Okay, for your back to school outfit, you should try to go for something simple, and comfortable, since the first day usually tends to be pretty chaotic. Since you are tall and slim, you can pretty much rock anything! But I would go for something like a cute tee ( maybe a polo, or button up), and pants such as jeans ( can you wear them to your school) or khaki's with flats or any type of sneaker but a shoe that doesn't give you to much height like converses. With a darker complection (like me), brighter colors like red, yellow, and aquatic blues tend to pop out and look very good on us. So I would stay away from an outfit that consists of mostly dark colors like black. You can also add accessories like a cute necklace, and a couple of bracelets.
A cool trend with shoes you could do is wear penny loafers, instead of flats, and moccasins.
As for you hair, I would just leave it as it is, or you could add some braids in it ( pig tails, french braid, maybe one or two braids in the fromnt sides of your hair, depends on your style). I would also try not to be too matchy, like if you have a purple shirt with purple jeans and shoes, I would just pair up the shirt and shoes.
You should go to stores like Sears, JCPenny's, and Khols where they have alot of various clothing items for a good price. From their select what you want, what catches your eye and try on what ever you think makes you look good. Don't be pressured by friends or anyone into buying something you don't want, be reasonable, but sometimes your mom may be on the right line when it comes to clothes. lol. So just make sure that what ever you choose makes you feel good and comfortable. I'm sure you will look great!
