Ok, so the first thing you want to do is talk to him. u dont necessarily need to flirt with him! you can just talk and be social! Then maybe u can develope a friendship and see if he wants to see a romantic gushy movie! lol! maybe if your already friends with him, you 2 can go see dear john this v-day.

Also, on the subject of v-day, make him a card! also makethem for the rest of your besties.

then you can also be nice to his girlfriend. Don't need to hate her. she's probably really nice!
