Hey, I saw your comments on popular girls. I understand that you are frustrated with them, (so am I). The reason I'm posting this is that I am concerned that you might be digging a hole too deep for you to get out of. I strongly advise you to make peace with this, because even though you may feel good to get these feelings out, you may be part of the problem versus the solution. I mean, if we are talking about these girls behind their backs and spreading hate, how different are we from them?I hope that you use your valuable skills to help girls that have been bullied stick up for themselves... instead of becoming a bully. I appreciate your point of view and I understand, but be careful of what you say.

Hey i read your comment... but just because some "popular girls" (labels are for soup cans not people!) get all the guys, doesn't neccesarily mean they are snobby and annoying. Now, if YOU (not your friends) have seen them being annoying or snobby, then it is a diff story. But maybe they are really, nice people. I gaurantee most of them are very insecure. I'm popular at my school, but i'm not mean. My school has no mean girls. Im actually very insecure, and (like i said b4) im pretty popular. I'm not a mean popular girl, im friends with all groups of people. So try to get to know them first before you judge. (:

yeah you're right its usually the girls that act like that and at my school i wouldnt describe them as MEAN but i wouldnt say theyre that friendly either. no ones ever been mean to me but i definitely hear about how some of these girls smoke and talk behind the backs of other people. its a really bad thing and it sounds worse at your school than mine but my school is a 'nice' school that specializes in arts but anyways i would love to join you

As an add-on to yesterday's post, the only reason those girls seem popular to you and everyone else is because of the mind-set that people have about the popular girls that "OMG! those girls are such snobs. They think they're better than me, but they're not. If I were popular, I would be so kind to everyone. I think that I am,on the inside better than them."

Hey, I saw your comment. I used to think that a lot, but, what I've realized is within the past year is that, the more you hate the situation, the more you become part of the problem. Like in sixth grade, I thought that cheerleaders were complete snobs. Now I'm friends like most of them and have been invited to their parties. I went from being the smart kid to being the mega-popular, smart, fashion-trendsetting, "it" girl who played sports, got the leads in plays, got straight a's and was friends with everybody. I liked it a lot-and still do. But just because a person is "popular" it doesn't mean that they are always rude. A lot of "popular" people are just well-liked because they are kind to others. "Popular" people don't always get what they want without trying, believe me. If you're jealous of that, as it seems you are, pump up your work ethic and learn to be more organized and make better progress when you learn. If you are sick of them, try to be "popular" by trying to be nicer to people. I'm not saying that you're not nice, but really make the "Good Samaritan" inside of you shine through. And if not, I suggest that you turn your back on the whole clique/popularity contest. No one needs that. Just think, at your twentieth high school reunion those "popular" girls won't even remember being popular. Take this advice to heart, give yourself a break, drink some water, and sleep on it. And, remember don't let popularity ruin your summer.

Hey, I saw your post about mean girls, and i *definitely* have some at my [old] school. I used to be part of the clique [i was never mean to anyone though], but they targeted me this year, and made my life totally miserable! It got so bad that i would come home crying, and my mom even had to call the principal to get it to stop. It made one of the girls [the one who started it] stop, but the other girls wouldn't. I had only one friend left, but towards the end of the school year, she went back to the clique, and started being mean to me, too. It was so bad. So, next year, i'm going to a different school, which is where all my *true* friends are. I am sick of those girls ruling over everyone. The only thing is, is that no matter how mean they are to people, no one tries to stop them because everyone is afraid of them. I am so tired of it, and i don't want anyone else to have to go through what i went through this year. I think it is *so* cool of you to start this, and i would love to be part of it!!! -Catherine

hey! i saw ur post about annoying girls. well i sorta have that at my school. i call them the blonde blob cuz almost everyone of them is blonde. anyway they're not mean or anything, i just think get more stuff because they're "popular" its not all of them because some them are my friends too. but i feel like they get guys because they r the girls that are cheerleaders, and play softball. they r all tan and r pretty strong. Hey, I saw your comment about the annoying popular girls and everything you said is sooo true and im going through the exact same situation right now! so there were these girls at school who at the beginning of the year started talking to me, and then we started hanging out and sitting together in class and by then we were all really good friends, and it didn't seem like it mattered that they were more popular than i was. so there's this other girl (alex)who used to be really popular and she still hangs out with the popular kids, but they talk bad and make fun of her behind her back. (and they would like, switch from liking her to not liking her like every week. i know wtf..) so i would usually sit at the table with the 3 popular girls, but one day i was just late to class and Alex was sitting where i usually sat. After that they just stopped talking to me altogether, acting like i wasnt worth their time and like we had never been friends. they just think they're so much better than everyone else and can use people for a laugh and then drop them like a hot potato (ahaha bad metaphor, i know!) but they really arent any better than the rest of us. i dont know if anything is gonna change though:/ comment back if you want! xoxoxo -moondance

I need some advice! My Sweet Sixteen is in two weeks. I invited my crush, and it's a pool party. But after we leave the pool, and go back to my house, we're going to dance and play games.
