hmmmmmmm . . . I think you should go up to him and introduce yourself. And make sure he knows you are like maybe telling him how you can tell the difference. Once you introduce yourself, you can get away with walking and talking with him. ONce you to talk, he can see your personality and may end up liking you back. So, the more you talk the more comfortable you are with each other - but don't over do it. Light conversations are great. Tell a joke, or what funny stupid thing happened to you last period. The important thing is to look and act confident. And, you can never go wrong with smiling. After you know enough about him, or have had a pretty stable friendship. Ask him how he feels about you or if you want to take your relationship to the next level. If he doesn't, dont keep asking and don't bring it up again and he will definitely not end up liking you. Move on, or wait. And the more time you spend together the more likely chance he may began to like you.If he does like you, then you just scored an awesome new bf! Hope helped

It sounds like Sam likes you. He just may not know
if you feel the same way. I think you should either call him, and tell him how you feel. Or, if you want to tell him in person, set up a time and a place where you guys can talk without any distractions. I hope everything works out. Let me know how it goes.
