Hey alot of people say you give good advice and i was wondering, how do i become a better runner? i like running but its winter now and i cant really run outside. what do you do in the winter to stay in shape for track?

MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD!! okay, so there's this guy I like. We're both in 7th grade and both VERY shy. We don't have any classes together and I'm not trying to be mean, but he doesn't have many friends. He is SUPER athletic and runs really fast. We have P.E. the same period, just not the same teacher. I try to smile at him, but he doesn't seem to want to look me straight in the eye, though I've caught him a few times. We're going to different schools in 9th grade. I want too know him more, but I don't really know how to break the ice, and I'm kinda scared to. How can I talk to him without seeming nervous or making it awkward since we're both really shy? btw he doesn't have a facebook or online profile, but his brother does. Could you please give specific examples? Thanks sooo much!!!

I have a few suggestions for your website. But please, if you use them, PLEASE give me credit! (like a page or whatever)

Well my suggestions are that at the bottom of each page/artical the is Fav botton so we can save it on our pages, and instantly click on it.

We should also have the option to reply to another girls comments. And to have an index box to send messages to other girls.

And as for saftey we can have a report botton, but you can also put some kind of block thing that wont send any messages with sertain words in it. I know they have parental blocks like that.

Hey girl,

That sounds cool! The only thing I can think of with that is safety concerns because it would be hard for us to monitor what everyone is saying to each other. We don't have the capability to do that as mods, but I can pass it on to my supervisor and see what she thinks.

Hey girl,

I would practice all of the moves that you'll be doing for cheerleading and ask a friend who's part of the team (if you know anyone on the team) to help you prepare. To be flexible, you can work on stretches. Check out cheerleading articles or videos online to help you, too. Maybe your parents could talk to their friends or some of your
other relatives about babysitting for them. I think it's easier to get
babysitting work through word-of-mouth than by putting up flyers. Maybe
you could also try having a yard sale at your other house, or make
jewelry or another kind of craft to sell. You could also talk to your
parents about selling things online if you have anything that might be
worth some money. Maybe you could also bring in some clothes to swap at

My mom says I need to wear a real bra(I am 12 and I do) but she won't let me get the kind I feel most comfortable in she buys ones that don't have wire in them so when I run they hurt my boobs but I have one wire one and I really like it but I don't know how to tell her I want one with wire cause it seems pike she never wants to talk to me what should I do???????

 

I don't think she never wants to talk to you; maybe she just isn't bringing up this topic. I would talk to her about which bras feel more comfortable to you and that you'd prefer to buy the bras that feel better. You could also look into wearing sports bras for when you run because that may feel more comfortable. Next time you buy bras, be sure to try them on in the dressing room and buy the ones that fit the best. It may be that you and your mom don't like the same kind of bras, and that's OK.

My name is Ashlee, and I have a huge dilemma! So, my crush's brother is friend's with my sister, and they go to the same school, too. Well, my crush (let's call him N) was asking if I had a boyfriend, and if I wanted a boyfriend, and I was clueless, so I said no because I wasn't allowed to date until 6th grade. After school, my sister said, " Hey, so did N ask you out today?" I stood there, looking confused. "Well, his brother said he told him to ask you out today," she said. I looked at her, standing with my mouth hanging opened. "He asked me if I wanted a boyfriend and I said no," I said. How do I get him to ask me out again?!? I feel like I dissed him! Hey girl, Sorry it took me a little while to get to your Q! I think it's normal to like two boys. You can certainly have two crushes but if one of them asks you out and you say yes, then you've chosen that guy. Basically, if one of them becomes your boyfriend, then you can't continue to flirt with both so much. But since you're single, that's OK for now — as long as you aren't leading one of them on. I would keep being friendly to each of them and gradually you'll probably start to realize which one you like better and are more compatible with.

Yeah, I did delete the whole comment. I'm straight, but it would be discriminatory to ask that question: everyone is welcome on this site whether they are gay or straight. Some people feel that it's right or OK and some feel that it's wrong. It's perfectly fine to have your own opinion on the issue but having a club discriminating against any group of people would not be acceptable on the site.

I really like this guy and I told him that awhile back,(he's a pretty good friend of mine) he seemed okay with it but said we should just stay friends. Now I'm fine with that but he keeps bringing it up, flirting and asking where we stand, after the last time he asked me (a few weeks ago) I said "I don't know anymore. You seem to want more than a friendship but then you say otherwise" After that he hasn't talked to me, until just now, but then he completely ignores me.
Why does he do this? It'd be so much easier if he just decided on one or the other.

Sorry for the delayed answer- it's gotten a little backed up. This sounds like classic confusing guy behavior. Maybe he was surprised by your reaction because maybe he thought you'd totally want to date him, or something like that. But I think you had a good response — you need to know what's going on! Maybe you could text him and be like, "Just wondering ...where do we stand?" Make it casual — maybe you could start another convo first and kind of put that in there. He really does need to decide, though. I would try to at least remain friends with him. So rather than just asking out of the blue, start up a regular convo. Like "Hey, did you see what happened on (TV show you both watch) last night?" or "Could you believe what (teacher's name) was wearing today?" or something simple. Good luck! -Vanessa J.

Kool Well last week my family had something outside with a lot of stuff in it and someone came in our yard while we were sleeping and stole some so ever since my dad would stay outside and watch the yard 2 make sure they don't come back and they did last night so now I'm scared out of my mind and my dad's friend cam 2 help (this was like 1:00 this morning) and he was driving his car over and saw them running in the road he said they looked like they were in high school but that's pretty much it
