Hey! Can I please be part of your club? I love vollyball(It's really one of the only sports I'm good at) I play school vollynall and club vollyball and right now my school team is awesome.(We won our first turnement with only a 30 min practice!) We beat almost every team we play. (The only one we lost to was an athletic school.)

Hey girlies! I’ve noticed a lack of posting on story writing and would love for that to change. I am thinking of just stopping the story where we are and starting a new one (this might also involve some new authors). If you have any major oppositions please let me know because I will gladly take them into consideration. Also if any of you have story plot ideas for the next story I will also gladly take them. I already have one so just bring me more. I’m sorry that I am doing this half way through the story but I just wish that we can post more. If and when we start the new story I will be posting a new application so any of you who aren’t authors will have a chance to become part of the story, and those of you who are will need to submit another one as well so if your chosen again we will know your character. 1.) Your definitely in the story!!! I LOVED LOVED LOVED your application!!!!!!!! Your sample paragraph was amazing!
2.) No it's not really set during the Revolutionary War it's in the late 1890s with the balls and Victorian era. I don't think we have a certain year (I'll talk to the others).
3.) It's in New York, Manhattan to be specific.
4.) This story is mostly just for fun and to expand you're writing horizons so you don't have to have every single little detail historically perfect, though don't go to outrageous- we still want it accurate.
5.) The girls are all acquainted and friends. You can include how they get closer or drift apart in your story if you wish to.
6.) Thank you all the nice compliments!
7.) The story had to be moved to a club since it took to long to get everything approved and posted on my profile so the new club is "The Hopeless Writers". I'm pretty sure you're already secretary...
8.) I look forward to writing with you! Until the club is approved and running feel free to post on my profile.

Constellations
“That one’s Orion the hunter, and over there is Ursa major…”
Quickly tuning out, I look over at Xander, who is still tracing shapes in the sky with his finger. We’re lying on our backs on the dew-moistened hillside, Xander’s cottage just visible puffing smoke in the valley. From up here it looks like a gingerbread house waiting to be frosted, but first ice is still far off. Tonight is an unseasonably warm November night in the midst of an unseasonably warm autumn.
We snuck off after dinner, Xander and I, and they won’t expect to see us until daybreak. I know they have good reason to keep us in their sight, but…Really, the countryside is about the safest place to be. We crept out silently, because we hadn’t had more than a moment alone since he came back, and Xander wanted to show me what he learned about the stars away at school. I wrench my attention back to him, feeling guilty of my drifting thoughts.
“And I can never remember what that one’s called, only it looks like a W…But I think it’s supposed to be a throne, or something…And…Ama, are you even listening to me?”
“Of course,” I reply, crossing my fingers. I glance over at Xander again only to find him watching me, his honey-colored eyes unexpectedly serious.
“Ama…” he begins, but I sit up abruptly and squint past him into the velvet darkness. In the same moment, I put a finger to my lips. I am sure all the color has drained from my face. I heard something…something other than the sounds of the night. But it can’t be… No, it must be. Just as I reach this conclusion, the putrid-and unmistakable- stench of rust and rot reaches us, confirming my fears.
“Xander,” I breathe, and his skin is paper-white, eyes huge. “Xander, run. Now.” The smell grows stronger, and as Xander and I scramble to our feet and begin to flee down the hill, the first of Them lunges out of the darkness.
