I just thought I'd let you know that I'm really proud of myself because I ate healthy today.
I was shopping with my friends and we sent to the food court and I did my best to choose the healthiest food I could. When we went to starbucks, they both got frapachinos but I got there new health drinks, vivanno or something like that. Banana Chocolate flavored YUM!
And then, when we went to lunch, they went to McDonalds (AHH, total healthyness no no!) I LOVE french fries, but i was really proud of myself because I ordered a sandwich at Subway instead
I didn't get much exercise in, but I mean I was walking or 3 hours, I think that should count.

You wanna lose 20 pounds? That's a lot. Did you ask your mom or doctor? I don't wanna sound like an adult or anything but be careful. You dont want to end up underweight or have an eating disorder (trust me...been there, done that, aint goin back!)

On the treadmill, I usually go between 3-5 mph. It tells me I burn about 300 an hour, but I usually go for about 30-40 minutes. I've never tried adjusting the incline, lol, but I'll definitely try next time, thanks!
Yeah I think I'll weigh myself too in about 1 or 2 weeks. And of course, I'll give you encouraging words if you don't make it, will you do the same for me? =]
I'm sorry I haven't written on your profile in a couple days, I've been really busy. I didn't get into the gym much this week, homework uggh. But I do have dance and yoga 4 days a week so I usually get a good workout anyway.
The hardest part for me has been the food. I eat too much when it's a food I like, and usually it's unhealthy food. Like I'm being a real hypocrite with the advice I gave you cause I've been trying, but it's really hard to just "stop" eating when I'm not hungry. Like when it tastes good...yeah...that's probably my biggest problem. Any advice?
And I have a new workout tip for you. When you're in your room, try doing sit-ups, or other core work, whatever you like best (with music on of course) then do cardio. Just dance around in your room with the radio on. That's one of my favorite ways to get a workout. I read in a magazine that you should always do cardio after core work, to tone the abs AND burn the fat. So I've been trying it and it's a great workout.

Ok soo I read your goal weight and I just want to be clear...how tall are you? Just making sure you're not like 5'8" or anything that would make that weight unhealthy. I'm 5'5" and my goal weight is actually 150...
So, on the workout, great for you! I worked out once so far this week because I was busy on Tuesday and Wednesday and today, Thursday, I'm really sick So it looks like I'll be working out tomorrow and Saturday.
Thank you so much for the advice! I'll definitely try it out! So as I've been listening to my iPod, I've been writing down tracks that I think will be great to work out to, specifically for walking/running. Would you like to hear them? How fast do you go on the tredmill, by the way? I go at about 3.5 miles for a half an hour and it usually burns around 300 calories. Oh, heres a tip for the tredmill: next time you're on it, see if theres an adjustable INCLINE. If you don't know what this means, it means that making the incline higher will make it more as if you are going uphill. This will help you burn more carbs and calories and is great, if you're like me, and you've just started and going fast is difficult.
I think in 2 weeks, I am going to weigh myself. I'm really excited to see results! But, I was wondering if you could comment on my profile with some advice, or helpful words, if I don't get the kind of results I want. Just something that keeps me from getting discouraged? That would be great and you would be the best buddy ever!!! But, lets hope I get my results and its not needed!

For me it's both, depends on the day, uggh. And yes I agree that going to an all-girls school is great cause there's no one to impress but there's also no guys to look skinny for. So yeah I feel the sam way. And I gained like 20 pounds since starting high school so I'd like to loose all that back, my goal weight is 100 lbs (by summer time so I can look good in a bikini, same goal as you)
So today, I went to my schools gym and went on the treadmill for about a half hour. I also have dance and yoga today so I'll hopefully get a good workout. Lunch was tatertots and grilled cheese though and I couldn't resist, but I think it won't do too much damage cause I'm working out a lot today.
And I LOVE peanut butter banana smoothies!! That's like my favorite healthy food!
Advice for not eating so much. Well my strategy is moderation, like I usually eat whatever I want, I just only take little bits, so next time you want chips, have chips, just only have a handful instead of a bag. And ask your mom to stock up on some healthy alternatives for chips (pita chips are great) and ice cream (lot fat yogurt works). And hopefully that will help!

I have a tredmill in my house. Maybe you go to a gym or maybe you have a tredmill too? Or if you have nothing you can still work out!
Whats your biggest problem? Is it like eating or just not working out? For me, its probably eating too much.

Sooo, today, I didnt have school. I woke up at 10 and went on my tredmill and did a toning excercise. Then I was sort of hungry, so i made a peanut butter and banana smoothie--YUM!! And it fills you up for HOURS. Two table spoons of peanut butter, a sliced banana, ice cubes, and milk. And i didnt eat until like 6, for my sisters birthday dinner...I had chips--ugh! I meant not to...and then we had stuffed shells and i had a slice of bread..and i had soda. And soon we're gunna have ice cream cake...so I've got 3 problems right here...chips, soda, and cake..OHMY! Haha. Any advice on refraining from eating stuff like this? I've been trying to substitute milk for soda, but I always convince myself that its fine just because its Diet...

So, basically, I went for my annual check-up, and just weighed too much . So, I'm trying to lose weight, so my goal is to lose maybe, like, 30 pounds, hopefully? That's pretty much my goal.
Oh thats good that you go to an all-girls school! So, we can totally relate, I think that its a little harder to try to lose weight basically, because theres less pressure to look good. Which is good and all, but maybe you would eat more for lunch and stuff than you would around guys? Well that goes for me anyway.
