Hey girl! Just saw your post about the guy in your lane. I dont think the MOD really understood your question.... so let me help ya! I'm also a competitive swimmer and this happens all. the. time. Soo annoying! It usually doesn't mean that he likes you, because girls do this every day! My lane is all girls, and it's frustrating because they want to be first in line. That's because they are what you might call control freaks or bossy. They just want to call the shots!! This boy might be embarrassed that a girl is faster then him -_- My advice is to PUT HIM IN HIS PLACE!! When you're doing breaststroke/kickboarding and you're really close behind him, sprint as fast as you can for maybe a full 25 and don't slow until you're far ahead of him. That's really all you can do at this point! It might sound a little rude or whatever, but trust me, there's nothing he can do once you've shown him that you ARE faster!
