Hey, girlie! I am SOOOOOO sorry it's taken me this long to get back to you! I've been grounded! Well, I still am.......anyway, I'm here to talk about your eating problems and such. Listen, before I start: I know that all of this will sound cheesy, but BELIEVE ME. I am VERY self conscious of being too skinny. Yes, you heard that. I think I'm too skinny. You might not think it's a bad thing, but we all have our opinions. First of all, you need to remember that you have already taken the BIGGEST step of all-realized that you need to think of yourself as beautiful. And trust me, you ARE beautiful. You should start exercising! Even if you think it doesn't help, it can make you feel SOOOO much better! Plus, if you don't want to completely EXERCISE, then do some yoga, take your dog for a walk, jump rope-ANYTHING! And, write at least ten things down that you love-and wouldn't change-about yourself. When you need a little boost, then look at it-and smile! Also, if someone tells you that they think they are too skinny or fat, then DON'T judge them. Someone who I labeled as my 'best friend' said (right next to me), "Just because she's skinny doesn't mean she's pretty." Think that hurts? Then don't do it. Love you, and I'm ALWAYS here for you, girl. Jessica

Hey, girlie! I'm here to answer your eating prob. First of all, it's AWESOME that you realize what you've been eating isn't all that great at all. That's the absolute most important step of all. You should already be proud of yourself for that. The message I'm receiving from your post is that it's mostly people persuading you to eat these unhealthy things. It is definetly fair to you AND your family and friends to talk about nutrition-and the best part is that it may inspire them to eat healthier, too! Talk to them-if they're really good friends and family, they'll understand. As for the friend sitch, if they won't support you, then they aren't worth it, girlie. Good luck, and if you need anything else just let me know! Jessica
Jgard224 on 2/19/2011 11:05:42 PM
Girlie, before you try to lose weight or anything at ALL, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE talk to a trusted adult or doctor, because this could seriously affect your health, and lead you to an eating disorder if you do something wrong. Please just keep this in mind. Thank you. Do you have any sort of pet that you could walk? Because if you have a dog, cat, ferret, bird, or really any animal that likes to walk, then that can benifit you both! It's like a two-for-one deal! Otherwise, just make sure that you stay away from sweets, and keep using your Wii-Fit! That is an amazing way to get excersize. Sorry, girlie, but I'm not really too great on this subject. I am great in hair and pretty much anything else, but sorry, girlie! I hope this helped at least a little bit! Jessica
Jgard224 on 1/11/2011 1:46:04 PM
Hey! Tons of girls have this problem. 1. Get organized. Use a planner to keep track of all due dates, homework, etc. 2. Study ahead of time. If you have a week to study, DON'T wait until the last minute. You could study a little bit each night, more or less depending on the rest of your work. Studying each night also means better grades! 3. Have a study buddy. Make studying fun by inviting a friend(s) over to study. You could also meet at the library, if you don't want to do that. 4. Treat yourself. Every time you finish a chapter in your textbook, eat a couple M&Ms. Then you keep studying to get the treat! 5. Don't overdo it. Don't join too many extra activities. Keep it to a maximum of 3. Then you'll have plenty of time for fun, and good grades. 6. Don't multitask. Turn off the phone, and log out of Facebook. Put every little bit of your attention into studying. If things are too loud at home, go to a library, or study with a friend at her/his house. Your family will understand. I hope I helped! Jessie

Hey girl! I haven't talked to you in a while, but I wanted to let you know the club will be opening soon!!! I'm soooo excited (I think everyone is!) and I'm sure you are too so I need to have a staff meeting with the Mods to let them know about it. It will be on Saturday (this Saturday) and I've already told my Personal Assistant about it and she's agreed to help me spread the word as I hope you will too? This is your very first task and I can't wait to see how you do! So bluues (My PA) will tell me tomorrow how many she did and then, I will tell you how many you need to tell. Does everything sound good?If not don't hesitate to contact me on the club page or my personal profile (peace<3) But please do so soon! Thank you for all of your efforts I hope to talk to you soon! Love, Leah

The Seasonal Club on 6/9/2010 10:56:25 PM
Hey girlie! Thank you so much for applying for the job as Vice President of The Seasonal Club! I read your application and I felt it was very honest and compelling. However, one other girl asked for the application so, I have to wait for her to turn it in before I can make my final decision. I liked the fact that you are on twice a day and I feel that you would be a dependable person. Once I get her application and read I will let you know if you are the new VP or not. Sincerly, Leah (PRESIDENT OF The Seasonal Club)

hey girly, im so glad i could help ya out with ur eating-after-school sitch... best of luck! (: -delainey <3
paigedelainey on 5/8/2010 3:20:05 PM
maybe ur snaking so much because u don't get enough food for breakfast or lunch. also, if u r eating snacky food like chips or cookies, instead if ur hungry grab some fruit or veggies (think: filling food) if ur rly desperate to stop eating unhealthy food, ask a family member to hide them or put it in a place u can't reach! hope this helps
glamgirlteen on 4/26/2010 5:34:35 PM
Hey, I read your comment about the eating after school, even if you're not hungry. It happens to me sometimes, so don't worry if you think you're the only one doing this. I think this happens cause we are growing up. Anyways, I suggest doing something to get your mind off of it, like coloring, playing outside, or just listening to music and dancing! If you want to eat when you aren't hungry, try eating something healthy!
thesandlotfan on 4/26/2010 5:18:53 PM
hey girl!! i saw your comment about eating a lot after school- believe me, i used to have the EXACT SAME problem!!you say you eat even when your not hungry, ya know why?a seven letter word for nothing to do,...boredom!! when your bored, you decide ta take a look in the pantry or fridge and see something that looks real tasty, then you see something else, and so on. so what can you do? distract your self! here are some snack-free boredom busters! *walk your dogs *ride your bike around *go to the pool *call a friend on the phone (dont text them though, its easy to slip in a snack between texts!) *walk away from the kitchen girl! and dont take food with ya! *work on homework up in your room! (i know its not so super fun, but it'll distract you long enough to keep you out of the kitchen!) and there are so mant more other things you can do! if you MUST snack then snack on healthy things with fewer calories such as berries, bananas, celery w/ peanut butter, ect! i seriously hope i could help! luv ya -delainey <3
paigedelainey on 4/26/2010 5:11:38 PM
****************************** Maybe try listening to your Ipod or radio! Or try the reward system, like a handful of dark chocolate m&m's (yummy and heart healthy!) or maybe time to watch some t.v! Hope I helped xxxxxx. -Alexx(:

hey!! to keep motivated while you run you could do a few different things. 1, you could change your route, 2 listen to music, and 3 if you like to take pics, take em while you run! hope this helps!!
darbie_95 on 3/2/2010 10:33:19 PM
Hey Maddie! To keep motivated, make a schedule of when you will run and for how long. And stick with it! Do it at the same time everyday so it feels routine. Also, run with a friend, family member, or pet. Go to the mall to buy a cute running outfit or sneaks so u feel glamorous when running. Keep a journal to jot down how u felt before and after the workout and keep track of progress. Good luck!
aubreyann on 2/28/2010 10:14:35 PM
*Hi, I saw your comment on the work out section of the GL site this is what you said: i am asking for some advice. do any of you guys know a good way to get motivated when you are outside running? when i am running, i seem to lose interest pretty fast. thanks!-maddie *Try running with a buddy(you could bring your mom along to get her fit too!) or listen to music while you are running. Or try to time yourself everytime you run and try to beat that time next time you run for the same distance. If you're losing interest, instead, find a sport you like to get motivated. Hope this helps! Let me know if you need advice again(on my profile); i'd luv to help! xoxo Joyce

Ok. Just to let u know, I wasn't assuming u were overweight. Everyone should exercise even if they are a healthy weight because it strengthens muscules and burns extra calories. That is great that ur improving! Keep up the good work and good luck in lacrosse season. And, on the treadmill, try to run for a minute or two longer every week because running is a super exercise since it works most of your body. And, for ur BMI on Wiifit, try to keep it in normal but be sure u don't go to underweight because that can b as harmful as being overweight! Keep up the good work!
aubreyann on 2/20/2010 3:58:24 PM

hi!!!I'm responding to your thing about acne.i don't steer clear of them or insult them, but i may not want them to touch there face and then touch me.it kinds of creeps me out a little bit to tell you the truth.but i live with it.i have friends who have not so bad acne.and i occasionally get pimples.(not at the acne stage yet thankfully)and i am a curious cat.why do you want to know?
Apples2 on 2/4/2010 9:49:43 PM
Yeah, in Pennsylvania there is snow too so I can't do my daily jogging. Tips: Try strength training! Not necessarly lifting weights but doing push-ups crunches squats etc. It doesn't just add muscule but tone areas too! Try doing 10 minutes a day a gradually having more intense workouts. How's your progress?
aubreyann on 2/3/2010 5:48:54 PM
-aquagirl997997 Hey girl, I know that acne dosnt always make someone very apealing to hang with but it is not a good reason to not talk to someone or be their friend. If you have a close friend that has bad acne you can bring up the topic that you went shoping and got a new face was that works great and say it makes your skin feel great. This way you are not being rude and you can be helping them with there acne. Just remember to treat them how you would like to be treated if you were the one with the bad acne, because they may not be able to help it. ~Hannah

Hi :] i read that you were looking for a trainer , and i see you already have one , but I'm overweight too and i need someone to loose weight with would you like to loose weight with me ?? Im Sam and 14 you ??
live4softball on 1/31/2010 9:18:02 PM
Hey Maddie! I would love to be your personal trainer! Here are some tips to try: -less junk food (seems obvious? But, take it slow. Start with once a day and then gradually reduce your intake) -more healthy snacks! No junk food? what else should you eat? There are tons of healthy snacking chooses such as fruit, granola, and veggies (preferably celery with ranch!)But, 100 calorie snacks are great too if you still want cookies, crackers, or chips. -Exercise. Start slow! Jogging is terrific! Cardio and great for legs. I usually jog 3 miles but start by jogging for a couple minutes and then walking, then jogging again. Or, if u have a wii, there are so many fun workout games to do! That's all for now. Let me know your progress! -Aubrey

i got another question and i hope you can answer it... so can i tell my gym teacher that i got my period and i can't go swimming because i don't feel comfortable wearing tampons or should i tell her that i forgot my bathing suit. i don't want to lie to her and since i am in junior high when i have gym it counts as a grade. i really don't want to get a bad grade.
soccerpal5 on 1/22/2010 3:33:29 PM
glgirl- hey!got your question. i think that you should try and froget about him, because dating jerky boys is a major no-no. focus on other things than him,(like schoolwork, other friends, sports, clothes,or even look into finding another boyfriend.)whenever he comes up in conversation, just think about one of those things. if you really just CAN'T get over him, then please leave another comment on my profile. for now, just try to forget about him. hope this helps!!!-maddie
aquagirl997997 on 1/19/2010 3:28:16 PM
hey its boy trouble. i broke up with my boyfriend a month ago but i still sorda have a crush on him but his moved on. his had a nother gilfriend and she broke up with him now he likes this other girl. he was such a jerk before, especially to my friends and sometimes to me so i broke up with him. Now were friends and he does become a jerk more often but is sometimes nice and i still like him for some reason. But he likes a nother girl and he is like the most haded person and annoying person in school. i usually look for personality in boys but i still have a crush on him. And the problem before was that i wasnt open to him at all and he was. i also think that he still likes me what should i do? i dont want the same things to happen again.AND I HAVE ANOTHER CRUSH ON SOME ONE ELSE. should i like my X-BF or should i also move on???
♥GLgirl27♥ on 1/17/2010 10:12:06 PM
meg6565-hey i got your message! no i don't think you're moving to fast, as long as you actually do love him and want to hug him. age doesn't really matter, it's just what you feel comfortable with. 12 and 13 is fine to hug and say you 'love somebody'.but if you guys havent been together for very long, then that's different. just make sure you mean what you say and feel totally comfortable w/your actions!!!-maddie
