God, my friends and family, and ballet are my life. I live to dance for Him. I have been dancing since I was three years old. I used to take tap and gymnastics but dropped them to study ballet more seriously. Currently I take ballet, pointe, and partnering classes several times a week with my company. I have been on pointe for four years and love every single minute of it (even when my toes are bleeding!). Hey girly! It sounds like he likes you (usually when a guy asks for your number and texts you he likes you) Just one tip I have for you- Asking friends to ask a guy if he likes you isn't the best idea because it could put him in an uncomfortable position, which may cause him to say something different than how he really feels and the info could get twisted and get to you wrong.
You could probably text him fairly often without him thinking you're a stalker. Although if he doesn't answer don't keep texting him. Also if he is just answering your questions with one or two word answers and isn't really saying anything on his own that is probably a hint that he doesn't want to talk right now. You should also try mixing it up every once in a while and calling him rather than texting him, or getting together in person!

It does seem like he may like you! Texting all weekend is deifintley a sign. But don't be afraid to text first. Of course always answer his texts, and don't be boring in convos. Text him first every two days until he starts to text you first.

Nothin much...i started school on the 30th and my schedule was totallly messed up...it turns out they changed it but didnt bother to tell me so i ended be marked absent in half of my classes which i didnt know i was supposed to be at.

I totally agree with you about Robert, we know he's not going to win so really it's just between lauren and kent. I would LOVE for lauren to win but i think that it's going to be kent which i'm ok with too! Are you planning to the SYTYCD tour?

I'm glad you had a good time at your intensive, i've never actually been to one but they sound wonderful! maybe next year!

Hahaha awesome !! you seem like you're very commited !! i wish that i had continued ballet when i was younger .. then i could probably go professional and i'd be en pointe by now and everything .. but thats just not how it is now. :/ but yeah i would love to see you dance !! Laughing put some videos up on youtube or something if your parents dont mind .. one of my other friends is doing that and i cant wait to see her videos Smile

I wish we had shows or ballets or recitals more often! They make such a big deal out of competeing it almost like that is a show for our studio.

I know! Tonight's elimination is going to be pretty intense, i definitely want Lauren and Kent to stay. I like Adechike's personality more than Robert, but i think Robert is more talented.

Our intensive is mostly ballet but you get electives. A typical day is 1 hour 45 min of ballet tech then an hour long elective (Pointe, Ballroom, Pilates, Nutrition and Health, Fundamental Kinesiology, Musical Theater, Contemporary, or Improvisation), then a 45 min break, then an hour and 45 min of either ballet variations or modern tech, and then another hour elective. On Saturdays we have rehearsal instead of our break and ballet variations/modern tech. This is the schedule for anyone 14 years and over.

haha yeah !! its the exact same for me about alex lauren kent jose and robert. i feel the same way about all of them !! Smile

well i used to dance for about a year or two when i was about four or five but then i quit, and i started it back up again about a year ago, but for like nine months i was just taking a intro to dance class thing at my school. i just seriously got into dance at my studio about a month or so ago. i take ballet and jazz Smile i wish i was en pointe like you !! it seems like so much fun. but i know im not ready yet. i barely know anything about ballet. lol i hope to be en pointe one day though Smile i'm so jealous that you're en pointe though !! lucky duck Smile im guessing that ballet is very serious for you, huh ? i wish i started sooner, but i guess thats just life. i'd love to see you dance sometime you seem like you'd be amazing !! Really? Just about every studio around where I live competes.....You went on pointe when you were 10?! I had to wait until I was twelve because that's our studio policy..I also had to take a test to see if i was ready..did you have to do that too?

oh my goodness! i totally agree with you about kent, he is precious! And the prom dance was definitely one of my favorites! I saw your comment about dance camps/intensives... my studio does a couple of dance camps for the little kids and a 1-2 week intensive for the older ones depending on age

sort of, but for most latin dancing yah u use heels, which makes it harder lolz actually now that i think about it latin is just sort of ballroom but with more sort of flare or different moves and music, really

To all of you ladies who gave me advice and just happened to be checking back on my profile for some random reason: (hahaa!)

It's been about a month since Texas, and I can gladly say that I'm almost over Josh. For a while, I missed him really bad for some odd reason, but I slowly got over that. I would love to have him as a friend, and we've kept in touch. I still cannot wait for December, but I think I'm going to get along just fine without him. Thanks to you ladies who helped!

Yeah I would definately talk to him. If you don't it might be kinda awkward between you two when it comes to December. Just don't text or IM him 24/7. Just act casual when u talk to him. Talk about things that you both have in common. If he doesn't answer, don't fret but also don't keep pestering him to talk to you. If you don't get a chance to talk to him, in December, tell him "You know I tried to get ahold of u but u never answered back." and see what he says.

My Advice
Well first: consider your options. Are there other guys who live nearer to you who you like/seem to like you? If so, then I would try to get to know them, and maybe keep Josh as a best guy friend.
However, if you really like Josh, and there's no one near you that you like, keep talking to him, and see if a long distance relationship could work. Absence makes the hear grow fonder, is what people say.
If a long distance relationship doesn't work, you may need to resign yourself to the fact that he's just not the right guy for you.

ATTENTION ALL PEOPLE OFFERING GUY ADVICE:

This past week, I was at a sort of trial ballet intensive (dancers should know), it's kind of like a week long ballet camp. Except I was only there for a week, and the other dancers were there for the full five weeks. To get down to the chase, I met a guy. A wonderful, smart, nice, sweet, understanding, strong, funny guy (let's call him Josh). I thought Josh was amazing. So I flirted a little, and it seemed he liked me. Nothing serious happened (we held hands and hugged a couple times), but I can't stop thinking about him. The worst part is that I won't be able to see him again until he comes to my studio in December for our Nutcracker, and he lives halfway across the country. I'm having a hard time just considering the possibility of not seeing him for six months. So what I need help with, girls, is what my next move should be. I have both his number and facebook stuff, should I frequently talk to him and keep up a friendship? Or ignore it until I see him in December? Please help, chicas! Thanks ahead of time!
