WEEKLY UPDATES!!!! Hey everyone! Here are the WEEKLY UPDATES! I hope you enjoy, and remember to ask for advice while you're here! __FIT TIPS__ Forget Face Fat!!! (After using these three easy tips that is) Alot of you have been asking me how to lose fat, and fast, so that you can be in great shape before school! However, no one has asked me how to lose face fat yet, and just losing that can make a big difference in your appearance! So try it out! I. Lose Face Fat By Drinking More Water. Water is incredibly helpful for many things that ail us. Dehydration is a common cause of sluggishness and headaches. Drinking more water clears toxins from our bodies and helps to burn more fat and build more muscle. Of course water also helps in the Weight Loss Process and will help you get rid of a fat face. II.Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables! Swap a serving of fruits and veggies with the usual junk food to keep you filled up! III. Reduce Facial Fat with Face Specific exercise and stretching techniques. Smile more, laugh more, and stretch. This will help to tone facial features as well as reduce a fat face. __WEEKLY NEWS__ The Truth about Tanning beds! For all of you girls out there who rely on tanning beds to get that sunkissed glow, you may want to think again before using on again...or it could turn deathly. Check this out: Ultraviolet radiation emitted from tanning beds is “as deadly as arsenic and mustard gas,” according to new research published in the medical journal Lancet Oncology, The Associated Press reports. Though scientists have long maintained that tanning rays are “probable carcinogens,” a new analysis claims that skin cancer risk increases by 75 percent when tanning bed radiation is introduced before the age of 30. No one wants that! So there are healthier ways to tan, try using special moisturizers or getting a spray-tan! Or be active outdoors for a while! Just remember to use sunscreen, you'll still get tan, trust me! When it comes to tanning, just remember to be safe, and a what can happen if you aren't! __RECIPE OF THE WEEK__ New food to eat: Sweet potatoes! Not only are these spuds delicious, but they're packed with nutrients and have tons of health benefits, like these: -Sweet potato is rich in Vitamin A (betacarotene) and Vitamin C. Both Vitamins A and C are powerful antioxidants that work in the body to remove free radicals, this free radicals are chemicals that damage cells. -Sweet potato is a good food for diabetics, because it helped stabilize blood sugar levels. -Sweet potato may help prevent cancer in glands and organs with epithelial tissue due to its high Vitamin A content. -It is beneficial for low blood pressure. -Sweet potatoes help you have good skin! So try out this sweet potatoe recipe, to keep it simple, you can mash them and top them with brown sugar, bake them, peel them, however you eat them, you'll be sure to love them-and their benefits! Ingredients: 4 pounds sweet potatoes, quartered 1 1/4 cups margarine 1 1/4 cups brown sugar 3 cups miniature marshmallows, divided ground cinnamon to taste ground nutmeg to taste Add to Recipe Box My folders: Add to Shopping List Customize Recipe Add a Personal Note DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add potatoes and boil until slightly underdone, about 15 minutes. Drain, cool and peel. In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine margarine, brown sugar, 2 cups marshmallows, cinnamon and nutmeg. Cook, stirring occasionally, until marshmallows are melted. Stir potatoes into marshmallow sauce. While stirring mash about half of the potatoes, and break the others into bite-sized chunks. Transfer to prepared dish. Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes. WEEKLY UPDATES!!! Hey girls! Here are the WEEKLY UPDATES, check back for more on Thursday! __FIT TIPS__ The best way to achieve workout success: The buddy system!!! Working out with a friend helps you stay motivated and committed! It's even better than a personal trainer! Here are some exercises for you and a friend to try: 1) Bball Curl-ups! For this exercise you will need either a basketball or a medicine ball (a medicine ball will work your arms more) The two of you get in curl-up position facing each other, so that when you crunch up, you will see each other. One partner holds the ball, both partners curl up, the partner throws the ball (pretty high, so that the catcher's core muscle will have to work to grab if) and the other partner catches it. The partners crunch down, and then repeat it. This exercise works your core and your arms. 2) Ball squats! Partners each grab hold of the basket ball (or medicine ball) and do squats. The partners create resistance for each other and help keep the other balanced. Make sure your knees never bend further forward than your toes! This exercise works your butt and legs! 3) Wood chopper! The partners start facing each other, leaving room in between to lunge. They both lunge towards each other, one partner holding the ball low so that the other can reach down and grab it. Once the ball switches to the other partner, both partners twist up and out of the lunge (so that they're in standing position) and let their arms fly over their heads (kind of like a wood chopper!) The partners come back down and repeat. This exercise works your legs and core! 4) Twister! Partners stand back to back, leaving room in between them to pass the ball. One partner starts with the ball, and, feet firmly planted, twist around to the left to pass the other partner the ball. The other partner takes hold of the ball and twists to their left (not the same side that they caught the ball on) and passes it to the other partner. This exercise is done quickly and works your core!

__WEEKLY NEWS__ Harry Potter has returned with some princely returns at the box office. The new big-screen adventure "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" took in $79.5 million domestically over opening weekend and $159.7 million since debuting last Wednesday. __RECIPE OF THE WEEK__ This recipe of the week is for all those girls out there who, at that time of day, find themselves looking for a snack to satisfy their hunger and craving. Well, before you reach for another drippy popsicle, try out this new, delicious, and healthier recipe! Chocolate Delight! How: In a bowl, combine one individual-size container of Jell-O lowfat chocolate pudding with one cup of sliced strawberries and a dollop of whipped cream. Why: How many of us are guilty of indulging in sweet desserts? Some of our favorite ice cream treats have as many calories as an adult should eat in a day. For the same amount of calories, you can have 10 of these fudgy low-cal treats. Plus, pudding is a great source of calcium. Paired with strawberries, which are packed with fiber, this treat will curb any craving. Thanks for reading the WEEKLY UPDATES, I hope you enjoyed them! Remember to ask for advice if you need it! I would be happy to help! <3Lj
