My Mom is VERY mad at me! I wear glasses, and today I think I left them in Math class! I hardly ever wear my glasses, though. My Mom said "You know what? Don't wear your glasses anymore. See if I care!" and then she was yelling at me! She even said I was a spoiled dumb brat who can't help myself! I was crushed! This happened about 5 minutes ago, and I'm up in my room in tears! Who's fault is this really? And' can you please help me figure out what to do? Thanks!

Hey Vanity,

Your mom is probably yelling because she cares about you. The reason why you have glasses in the first place is so you can see clearly and don't miss out on anything! She's probably frustrated that she helped you get them but you never wear them - so infrequently that you could leave them somewhere. If you left them at school, you'll probably get them back. Just tell your teachers and the main office that you lost them in case they get turned in! But personally, I would try to use your glasses as often as possible you can actually see the world around you! And apologize to mom - whether or not she overreacted, you did lose a belonging that she paid for, so you should make sure she knows you're sorry for slipping up on that one <3
