oh, i am sorry that your in a tough situation! i hope i could have read that before but i had testing all week.
okay so.. i would feel betrayed if my best friend directly told my crush i liked him! but maybe she didn't think of it at first, because then again, if my bff liked someone and its been more than a year, i would want to find a way for them to connect. Ever since forever, my crushes always found out that i liked them lol. I just try to forget it ever happened, and i try to get to know the guy so he doesn't think i'm some girl that likes him even though i barely know him. And maybe he will joke it against you one day, in a good way. Honestly, I reaalllyyy don't like when other girls like my crush, because that means some drama will have to happen. But if you think he's worth it, go for it!
You never know if he might feel a little awkward if he liked you too! (: Good luck with whats happening. I'm sorry if i didn't give you the perfect advice, but when i do that, it works out fine for me. Sometimes halfway through getting to know them, i realize that he's not too worth it after all, only as a friend.
