Hey- So glad I helped you decide to run track! Some of the girls I run with have lost weight after becoming runners. I got in shape for the first time since I quit gymnastics 3 years ago. This track season I'll probably be running distance (like the 1-mile). Do you have any idea what you wanna run? Or you could be a thrower, jumper, or pole vaulter! There are 17 different events so there's lots to choose from. Talk to you soon!

Hey girl, I just saw your post about how your mom wants you to try running track even though you're not super active. I don't wanna pressure you but I'd just like to give ya my opinion- this summer, I couldn't run. At all. Not even a mile. But I started running with the cross country girls and I saw TREMENDOUS improvement.. Does it take time? Sure. Will you have to work hard to reach your goals? Of course. But I can basically promise you it's worth it to get in shape. Now I found something I love to do (run!) with a great team. This is going to be my first time running track, so keep me posted if you decide to go for it! Good luck (:
