Hey! Haven't heard from you in a while! What's up? Today my friend and I went to a bookstore that was closing. Literally every book, hardcover and paperback, were $1 each! I got 7 books and my friend got 11. It was really fun. Now I'm tempted to read them all at once!

Sorry it's been so long, I've been really busy with homework and the weekends were busy too. Yeah, my dad grew up in Wisconsin and my whole family is Packered out!!! My grandpa couldn't watch it because he had some surgery and the doctor said that he shouldn't watch it. It was because he couldn't get too excited about it!

Yeah, it's still fun. My friend who goes to private school is trying to arrange something with some guys from her school. Anyway, I didn't actually have much candy this Valentine's Day. I remember in third grade we had this huge party in our class and everybody brought candy. I ate so much, and I said at school newspaper that day that I would never eat another sweet again. Well, I definitely broke that promise!

Some people are going skiing. I'm just staying here...lame. Today I mother's-helped with an adorable baby. I want to go on a boy hunt, but it's such a small town that all the guys here pretty much go to my school. And I don't want to go out with any of them. What should I do?

You're lucky to have a brother who has friends and can lead you to people. I really don't like being an only child. It's really boring. I love cooking, especially cooking pasteries, or SWEETS! You should write a book about cooking. I could write some recipies down and you could create something, like they did on Ratatouille (if you ever saw the movie.)

I know, right! When I first heard that, my jaw just dropped. I thought it would start in March and I'd have time to get in shape. I'm typing on a new computer, so the keyboard is different and it will take some getting used to. Anyway, I'm so sore from track today and yesterday. Tomorrow one of my high school buddies is gonna run...he's a serious boxer so he has that most of the week! Also, lacrosse for my friends started today but was rained out. I really want to find a nice guy...there are no guys worth having a crush on at my school...seriously, none!

Haha yeah! That's awesome that you're going to their concert. I listen to them sometimes. And Big Time Rush is definitely random and funny. <3 Of course, I also like other shows. I really like old Ned's Declassified reruns, That '70's Show, Modern Family...I also like cooking shows, haha. Me and one of my cross-country buds both watch Iron Chef America. I watched the season premiere of American Idol. Of course it's not the same without Simon (!!!) and Paula, but I love Steven Tyler. I used to be his ultimate biggest fan, I have like every vintage Aerosmith album!

aw thanks about my profile!! what is your book called?? I am doing this assignment in school where you have to get pick an abstract noun (like you know and noun is a person place thing or idea, this would be the idea part, something you can feel but can't take home for dinner as my grammar teacher puts it) and then find it in a magazine article, newspaper, poem, work of shakesphere, and a few other places. It is actually really fun, considering how much work it sounds like. But, then again, I do love words and writing so I am a little predijude. well ttyl!!

I like pop with some hip-hop and I definitely love classic rock. So your profile says you're a huge U2 fan...my mom once met Bono! Anyway, I wish our art teacher would play music in class. Our art teacher is really weird. She's always giving us these crazy projects and she separates you from your friends but then you pairs you with a person you're really chatty with. I hope I'll have good teachers next year. We havet teams at our school, blue and gold(school colors). This year I'm a goldie but last year I was a blueie. I want to finish off as a blueie since that's what I originally was, but I don't want the blue team lang arts teacher! Everyone says she's really mean.

Good luck with the writing contest! And I wish we had a writing club at our school. It's just so fun to write, and this year, my language arts teacher is so awesome, flexible and carefree. Language arts has always been my favorite subject because it's writing and reading (of course) but last year my teacher was really harsh with his grading! It took a lot of work just to get a 90. And we had a really cool science teacher, so science was my favorite subject. But this year language arts is back to being number one, and my science teacher is psycho, but that's my least favorite. I don't like my math teacher, either, but I really like Spanish! Music Appreciation is also lame. Anyway, my favorites in general are language arts, gym, and Spanish.

Yeah, I do like living in a small cozy town, but I also love the beach. I used to live in North Florida and the beach was just a few blocks away from my house! Also, your grandparents' town sounds so cool! I would love to live on an island! I really like beach towns because of the beach (of course) and I really like the style of beach houses, how some of them are on stilts, and the vibrant colors. I also like how there are no streetlights, so you can see all the stars in the sky.
There's going to be a statewide writing contest. My language arts teacher talked about in in first period. You get two submissions from each school and they have a big contest. This guy in my class was like, "You're definitely going to win. Let's all vote for you!" It was so nice! He's my guy friend,so it's cool. Today I went home with one of my friends and we ate nachos. Yum

That's awesome! I'll be sure to check it out! Also, I think that idea of an illusion story sounds really cool and deep. Today was fun! A couple friends and I did a walkabout downtown. I got a necklace that says live, laugh, love...run on it. It's awesome! We had a bunch of fun, running around and going in random shops just to look around. Our town is so boring!!! It's so small and there is rarely anything good to do here. However, I do <3 tha annual book fest, but that's in September. There's also an art festival, and that's pretty much it. I like living in a small town, tho, cuz you know everybody!

Thanks! Your ideas sound great too. My friends are always telling me I should try and get stuff published, but I just never think it's good enough. I wrote a long novel last year, and it would be awesome to publish that, but it needs to go through a long and tedious editing process. Anyway, it's really hard for me to write a mystery, but I'm trying! It's kind of a supernatural mystery. What are some of your novel ideas?

Thanks! I like both short and long distance, but since I'm pretty good at short, my Mom suggested I do track. I also was thinking about lacrosse, but I decided on track because I think it would give me an edge in xc. So how's your writing going? I'm currently writing a bunch of stuff, I can't keep up with it all. I'm writing a story about a girl who goes to my middle school and deals with all that middle school stuff. She kind of has some of my experiences, but I give her experiences that I've never had, too. I'm also trying to write a mystery, but it's kind of lame.

Yeah. I tried it last year but was too busy. It definitely has a much different feel from xc, since it's just a track and there's no winding course or scenery. That means my 800 time will be better! Maybe I can beat my record of 2:49. I love the 800, it's one of my favorite runs.

Thanks for the book reccomendations! But the big problem is that the roads are so icy and I can't go the library or book store! So I'm stuck here rereading books and magazines, and watching TV. No school tomorrow, either, and no school on Monday cuz of Martin Luther King Jr. day. A group of friends and I are going to have a sleepover Saturday! I'm superexcited. I'm also excited for track to start! I've decided to do that this spring.

School's out for the whole week cuz of snow! I <3 SNOW! But it's not really snow, it's like snow with a really thick layer of ice on top. Today the ice was so slippery and thick that I could stand on it and not make footprints. It was cool! I tried to walk to the park next door to go sledding, but I fell down five times. There's ice everywhere! We've been cooped up here, and I don't have some of my favorite foods! Also, I need a new book to read! Soooo boring...

School was cancelled today, also. I bet it's going to be cancelled tomorrow, too, because the roads are all icy and slushy and they just look really hazardous. I've had a lot of fun! I went sledding with my boogie board at the park next to my house. No one here has a sled, so everyone is using makeshift items for sleds. When it snowed on Christmas, I used a paint tray! We also don't have snowplows or snow tires or anything, so when stuff like this happens, there's really nothing we can do but sit around the house or play outside.

Hey! Sorry for not writing in a while. Anyway, we got back to school last week but school was cancelled today for snow! It's crazy! It's like 3 inches outside! This is probably the most I've ever seen! I went outside and played around in it. The creek next to my house froze over in places, but not all the way through. It's kind of like hardened slush. But it's still awesome! Everything's white...it's amazing! Yeah, I know I sound like a total dork, but we rarely get snow, so it's superexciting. Whenever it snows during school, even just a flurry, everyone crowds around the windows, like, "Oh my gosh!" and my friend from Michigan just rolls her eyes and she's like, "Southern kids." lol ;)
