I can help you out with this since the mod didn't.

Theres nothing you can do. She passed away & you'll just have to accept that. As for your family all being slumpy, try to perk them up but asking if they wanna play a board game, go to an amusment park or go shopping. Anything that you know your fam enjoys. ;) Hope I helped.
